"Otherwise, why don’t you wait and finish making the dicine before going in? I’ll go in and take a look first."
"Alright, alright, you go in first."
When lody Thorne went in, her father had a vacant stare. He originally thought Mrs. Thorne was dead and that he would spend his entire life in the dimly lit casino, despised by all. Yet, he never imagined he would actually get out.
He always thought the person he believed to be dead was actually alive, along with his daughter and son.
"Dad," lody Thorne sat across from her father, "can you tell what happened back then?"
Who turned him into this state? lody Thorne wanted revenge, wanted to exact harsh vengeance on those who made her father like this.
"I thought she was dead," her father painfully began, "She thought I had another woman, and even a child with that woman."
So, they argued while driving, both thinking the other was dead.
"So, you went to Crestfall and then had the accident, right?" lody Thorne ventured a guess.
Her father did not deny it; he only hated himself, hated that he did not protect the Thorne Family, letting it fall to such a state.
Seeing this, lody Thorne slowly spoke, "Dad, do you know? I’ve already figured out what happened back then. Terence Thorne’s family is not doing any better now, and the Thorne Group’s company has been reclaid."
Her father’s gaze remained vacant, silent.
He already sensed that his ti was short. Last night, he kept calling for that doctor nad Jiang to kill him, as the excruciating process was tornting him.
"Mom is now suffering from amnesia, but she still cares about you. She just said she’s going to prepare so dicine to bring it over for you."
Her father’s vacant gaze began to show a reaction.
"Why don’t we take revenge now? Don’t you want to live with dignity like before? Why not give a lesson to everyone who insulted you?"
lody Thorne’s suggestion did not earn her father’s approval; he closed his eyes.
"If you won’t go, I will go for you," lody Thorne stood up and left the room.
Yesterday, all those people were detained on Harold Chapman’s turf, where lashes from a long whip landed on their bodies, leaving trails of bloody welts and screams.
Harold’s mouth twitched; it was the first ti he had seen lody Thorne so fierce.
Fearing sothing might go wrong, he imdiately called Jared Quinn to inform him of the current situation.
lody Thorne only stopped when Jared Quinn arrived and took the whip from her hand; she really wanted to whip to death all those who insulted her father.
"Teaching soone a lesson isn’t just about brute force," Jared Quinn wiped the sweat from her forehead with his large hand, leading her out of the dark and damp place, "Even if you want to resort to violence, you don’t have to do it yourself."
There wasn’t a single weakling on Harold’s turf, and every one of them was stronger than her. How could a delicate and gentle woman like her do such a thing as beating people?
Look, her palms were all red.
lody Thorne brushed off his big hand and looked up, "Jared Quinn, don’t you know how to comfort a girl?"
"Hmm?"
"I’m not happy right now. You should comfort ," lody Thorne huffed coldly,
She needed comfort right now.
Jared Quinn squinted his deep-set eyes, "What do you want?"
"I want to go racing."
"No way, until it’s confird whether you’re pregnant or not, you can’t do anything risky."
lody Thorne "..."
