"Alright," Nina King turned around and handed her a big pile of docunts, "finish these before you go back, I’m taking a day off today, no matter what."
Ever since she started working with lody Thorne, she hadn’t taken a single day off.
"Go on, oh, and make sure to buy so tasty and fun stuff from outside," she was worried that Timmy would get bored here.
"Okay."
After finishing those docunts, it was already dark. They ate sothing outside, and lody Thorne took Timmy ho, unaware of how furious the jealous man was by now.
Quinn Family, the hall.
Mrs. Quinn and the old master were both there, their faces showing differing emotions, with the old master looking almost livid, as if he wanted to give his grandson a few whacks, since not knowing where his wife was after he got ho was quite unacceptable.
"Hey, lody is back," Mrs. Quinn’s attitude towards her changed dramatically as she ran over. "I was about to send the butler to find you. Going out so late had worried about you and Timmy’s safety."
Having heard by now that lody Thorne was Seymour’s daughter, Mrs. Quinn was eager to treat her like royalty. This way, saying her daughter-in-law wasn’t worse than others—actually much better—would give her quite so face, wouldn’t it?
Compared to Mrs. Quinn, the old master was genuinely concerned.
"Sorry for worrying you, mom and grandpa, I’m fine," lody Thorne smiled.
On the staircase, Jared Quinn happened to be coming downstairs, wearing grey loungewear with slippers, lazily descending one step at a ti.
As their eyes t, lody Thorne imdiately looked away.
If he wants to be mad, just let him be.
"Cousin, you’re downstairs, just in ti, sister-in-law’s back,"
On the other side of the sofa, which lody Thorne hadn’t noticed, a woman stood up with a coquettish laugh and quickly ran to Jared Quinn, wrapping both her arms around his, "Cousin, please tell sister-in-law, I have nowhere to stay and plan to stay here for a few days; I might trouble you."
Jared Quinn’s handso, stern face barely frowned for a mont, then his gaze fell back on lody Thorne, recalling the various n around her, he didn’t ask but directly agreed, "Then stay here."
"Thank you, cousin," Wendy Lynch didn’t look at lody Thorne once.
The old master’s face darkened watching their interaction.
Timmy yawned, covering his mouth with one hand, starting to lean against lody Thorne.
"Are you sleepy?" lody Thorne quickly stood up, "Grandpa, mom, I’ll take Timmy upstairs to sleep, he’s tired."
"Alright, alright, go on, go on, your grandpa and I will be heading back too," Mrs. Quinn looked at her grandson tenderly, "Have a good sleep."
lody Thorne took Timmy upstairs, but as soon as she stepped on the first stair, a tall figure blocked her way in front of her.
lody Thorne moved around Jared Quinn to continue upward, but Jared Quinn intentionally blocked her way again.
"Don’t want to go up? Or should I return to the hospital to take care of the patients?" lody Thorne finally couldn’t hold back and spoke.
Jared Quinn’s gaze turned icy, looking down at her.
lody Thorne took Timmy around him and upstairs, clicking the bedroom door locked behind her.
"Sleepy," Timmy lay on the bed and fell asleep instantly, clearly not having slept well for days.
"Good boy, sleep well," lody Thorne kissed his forehead.
