lody Thorne didn’t need to wait for his answer to know the truth; she turned and left, both n had lied to her.
"lody," Jared Quinn quickly chased after her, grabbed her arm, and held her in his arms. "I knew the truth, but my position is different from his. I hope you see it clearly for yourself."
It was rare for him to explain.
"But that was Kiki Sutton. Just because you wanted to see clearly, you disregarded whether she lived or died? If you’d warned earlier, she wouldn’t have jumped, I wouldn’t have believed Hans Montrose. But even knowing, you didn’t tell ."
"lody," Jared Quinn tried to hold her.
lody Thorne pushed him away, feeling increasingly uncomfortable in her heart.
"Don’t follow , I want to be alone for a while."
In the end, it was because she wasn’t strong enough, not strong enough to protect herself, and just like everyone else, she fell for the deception.
"Jared," Leon Rivers watched lody Thorne’s figure walk away, stepped forward, and added fuel to the fire, "I told you, she’d be angry once she found out."
Jared Quinn’s eyes were clouded with a thin layer of ice, a dangerous aura spreading. He glanced at Hans Montrose’s hospital room before striding away.
"Jared, Jared, do we not need to stay at the hospital anymore? If not, I’ll head back first."
Receiving no response, Leon Rivers turned and left.
"Leon Rivers," a petite figure crashed straight into him, seemingly wanting to knock him down.
Just as he was about to get angry, Leon Rivers looked down to see a woman in his arms like a porcelain doll. Looking at her was like looking at a sweet little treat, her soft voice was adorable even when she was angry.
"Chloe Sumrs, why are you here?" Leon’s eyes sparkled brightly.
"Leon Rivers, do you even have the face to ask? Do you know any sha? After you took back from the bar that day, what exactly did you do?" Chloe Sumrs pointed her finger at his nose, completely unaware that they were pressed together.
Leon Rivers thought back to that day when Chloe Sumrs got drunk. She clung to him, pulling at his clothes, kissing and hugging him, even trying to sleep with him.
"You’re talking about that day?" Leon Rivers nonchalantly said, "Don’t worry, I’m still a man, I won’t bla you for being inappropriate. Though there was kissing and hugging, rest assured, I won’t cling to you or ask you to take responsibility."
Chloe Sumrs’ eyes widened, "You were kissing and hugging that day too?"
"No, you mistook for your Harold Chapman. Seeing you so upset, I could only pretend to be him, letting you kiss and hug ."
Chloe Sumrs was speechless.
"Leon Rivers, you jerk, did you also take off my clothes?" Chloe Sumrs covered her chest with both hands. When she woke up to find herself naked,
she rembered calling Harold Chapman, so she always thought it was him who undressed her. She was happy for two days and went to find Harold, but he didn’t know about it at all and even suggested it might have been Leon Rivers.
Did that an Harold knew she might have been with Leon Rivers that way? How could she be his girlfriend after that?
"You drank too much. I had no choice but to bathe you and put you to bed," Leon Rivers’ eyes flickered as he looked at the sweet treat before him. "Otherwise, I could strip down for you to see. We’ll be even, how about that?"
