"Okay," he replied succinctly.
lody Thorne chatted with Director Irving for a while. Director Irving had always been eager to jointly appear in a military movie with her, expressing the purest emotions, and he felt that only soone like lody could convey that feeling.
"Take so ti to consider it. I hope you can get back to soon."
"Okay," lody laughed lightly. If she weren’t expecting a baby, she would definitely agree to Irving’s offer, especially considering his unquestionable influence.
Looking up, she noticed that half an hour had passed, but Jared Quinn still hadn’t returned. Could it be that sothing urgent ca up and he left early?
lody took out her phone and dialed Jared Quinn’s number, glancing around the lobby, noticing that Wendy Lynch had disappeared at so point.
Suddenly, a sense of panic welled up in her chest.
Jared Quinn’s phone kept ringing, but no one answered.
"Sila, there’s a woman’s screams coming from one of the rooms upstairs, and I don’t know why," a security guard shouted loudly from the staircase, causing everyone to pause their actions and conversations.
This hotel was under Sila’s contract; how could a woman’s screams be echoing from above when it was supposed to be vacant?
"Sila, the woman inside keeps shouting Master Jared’s na," another guard hurriedly reported as he ca downstairs, "it seems... sothing has happened."
"What? She’s calling out Master Jared’s na? Is this woman delusional? As if she could just shout his na!"
"From what the security guard said, sothing seems off. Could Master Jared be up there too?"
"Master Jared? How is that possible?"
lody Thorne, who had been downstairs all along, anxiously walked toward the stairs. Jared had clearly just left; how could he be upstairs again?
The further she went, the more uneasy she felt.
The reporters who had been waiting in the lobby to conduct interviews were now racing up the stairs even faster.
The sound of a woman’s screams from the room was extrely loud.
"Master Jared, I beg you, let go. I beg you, no, don’t..."
"Let go, let go, help, help!"
The woman’s screams echoed crisply down the empty hallway, the heart-wrenching cries making people’s hair stand on end.
lody Thorne’s pace slowed until she felt like her feet were too heavy to move forward, as if they were filled with lead.
"Quick, open the door!" Sila shouted urgently, "Why does this voice sound so much like Wendy Lynch’s?"
"Bang!" The security guard kicked the door several tis but failed to open it. Soone arrived with a key and unlocked the door.
A throng of reporters surged forward.
"Ah!" the woman inside scread.
Many spotlights captured the scene.
Then ca all sorts of chaotic noises.
"Master Jared, how did you end up in a room with Wendy Lynch upstairs?"
"What did you do to Miss Lynch?"
Inside was Wendy Lynch’s crying voice.
lody Thorne squeezed through the crowd to witness a particularly shocking scene: Jared Quinn and Wendy Lynch were both on the large bed, and neither of them had any clothes on their upper bodies.
"Stop taking pictures, stop it, ah!" Wendy Lynch scread, pulling the quilt around herself. As she moved, one corner of the quilt tugged upwards, revealing a glaring stain of red on the sheet, which caught the attention of many, including lody Thorne standing outside.
