In the side bedroom, Li Peifeng took the initiative and quickly tapped out a WeChat ssage to Yao Xun: "What are you busy with?"
In the living room, He Ying also noticed the issue and suggested, "No need to call, it might disturb him. You can try sending him a WeChat ssage first..."

Tianxuan made a sound of acknowledgnt, clutching the bottle of whiskey, and asked the others, "Care for a drink?"
"I want to eat a peach."
Wu Wenyue shook her head, sorting the fruits from the bags in the kitchen, storing so in the fridge while washing others that could spoil soon for imdiate consumption.
"Darling, co out for so fruit."
Li Peifeng knocked on the door of bedroom number 1. Zhao Qingge only responded from inside, "You all eat."
"We’re young and have plenty of opportunities. Opportunities are for the prepared..."
Tianxuan turned on the TV in the living room, poured so whiskey, opened a bag of chips, and nestled comfortably on the sofa, sipping the drink and munching on the chips while watching a soap opera, her legs elegantly crossed and wearing a look of contentnt of stolen leisure.
"Peifeng, what’s for dinner?"

Li Peifeng sat down smoothly, chuckling, "Whatever you cook, we’ll eat."
Seeing their joy over the supplies he brought back, Li Peifan felt much better. His efforts at He Ying’s place felt worthwhile. Oh, how much I’ve sacrificed for this ho!
"These cherries are quite tasty."
With a bowl of clean fruits, Wu Wenyue placed them on the coffee table in the living room, then from above, handed so still dripping large cherries to Li Peifeng, "Try them."
"You have them."
Li Peifeng waved her off, but Wu Wenyue insisted, directly feeding one into his mouth and watching him chew with satisfaction, "Good, right?"
The sweet and sour taste burst in his mouth, and with the cherry’s juiciness, it only added to Li Peifeng’s complex feelings, making all the ’humiliations’ at He Ying’s place worthwhile.
"Indeed, delicious. You all have more."
Since each cherry was hard-earned sweat and effort, Li Peifeng couldn’t bear to eat them himself and simply urged the others to enjoy.
Wu Wenyue smiled, leaned down, and whispered, "Kiss ."

Li Peifeng found himself a bit speechless. Noticing Huang Tianxuan still engrossed in her TV show to his right, he silently gave Wu Wenyue a peck on the cheek, ending with a teasing "Is one kiss enough? Want another?"

Wu Wenyue chuckled, subtly turning her head, offering the other cheek.
Another quick Mua, and yet Wu Wenyue didn’t lift herself, sticking even closer, less than six inches away, gazing at him with bright, intense eyes. Her full lips parted and closed, breaths mingling, conveying an unspoken invitation.

Squashing his urge to tease, Li Peifeng was about to refuse Wu Wenyue’s escalating embrace, when a sudden sensation silenced him.

With his heart racing at the notion from the lady on his right, to avoid Wu Wenyue catching on, he wrapped his left hand around her and gave her lips a lingering third Mua.
This third kiss was quite prolonged since it carried much significance: as he kissed, Li Peifeng was still holding Huang Tianxuan’s hand.
After about ten seconds, Li Peifeng intended to release her, from the embrace with Wu Wenyue and the handhold with Huang Tianxuan to avoid misinterpretations.
The initial goal was t, but the latter proved unexpectedly stubborn to extricate.
Tightly seizing Li’s hand, Huang Tianxuan seed both surprised and shy, "Hey, Peifeng, you... you can kiss her all you want, but why are you holding my hand? Wenyue is right here, it’s a bit much, don’t you think?"
