Chapter 193
The one who had inford the classes about the beasts being the rocks, while also alerting them of their ranks, was now completely surrounded since he had delved deep into enemy territory just to gauge the creature’s power level.
Now, he had to contend with two Advanced ranked beasts all alone while the others were occupied with their own struggles.
Whoosh—!
The heavy fists of one of the beasts streaked through the air toward him with raw, terrifying speed.
Felix was forced to jump back to maintain his distance.
With an aerial spin, he swung his hands through the atmosphere, sending slashes of black energy flying toward the second golem that had attempted to strike him while his back was turned.
The energy waves managed to push the massive hand away long enough for him to land on the ground and bolt toward the creature.
Contrary to what he had expected, the golem regained its composure faster than he had anticipated and imdiately swung its massive foot toward the werewolf.
With uncanny agility, Felix avoided the kick and then proceeded to leap forth, delivering a powerful punch into the beast’s face with the raw strength of a raging bull.
The beast slid backward for a ter.
Fractures had appeared around its face, with fine brown dust trickling down from the impact point.
Before Felix could press his advantage further, he spun around imdiately with his arms crossed in front of his face in a defensive posture.
A punch from the second beast landed squarely on his forearms.
The ground beneath his feet splintered into cracks almost imdiately, the werewolf grunting under the imnse force of the blow.
It currently felt as if two massive boulders were pressing down on him.
Regardless of the pressure, he dug his feet hard into the earth, trying to keep himself grounded.
The previous golem he had punched had finally recovered enough to join the fray, and it wasted no ti in lunging forward with a deadly strike from behind that was surely enough to shatter a spine.
With nothing left to do, Felix’s muscles bulged as his eyes flashed a bright yellow for a fleeting mont.
His physique increased in mass as his adrenaline surged.
Finally, he was no longer struggling against the golem’s punch before him; he sent the monster flailing away from him before twirling around almost instantly with a counter-punch of his own.
His knuckles crashed against the stone knuckles of the Advanced ranked beast, causing the ground to fracture even more violently.
Pulling his hand back, he watched the beast stumble for a mont, only for a swift kick from the werewolf to bash into its jaws, throwing its head to the side.
With a forceful leap into the air, Felix descended with a powerful axe kick which instantly made his face twitch in trendous pain.
It was as if he were striking a mountain with his heel, and he definitely wasn’t powerful enough to split one in two.
However, the beast did sustain damage as its knees buckled and it crashed into the ground, kicking up a storm of dust all around them.
He wasted no ti in rushing toward the creature before it even had the chance to stand up.
Swinging his hands forward like a madman, lines of obsidian energy burst out, tearing through the stone beast with increasing intensity as its body was sent sliding across the rocky terrain.
Brown dust flowed as it kept moving away, until the Advanced beast decided that enough was enough.
It slamd its heavy hands into the ground, stopping its body from sliding any further.
At the sa ti, Felix’s eyes rolled to the side and almost imdiately, he bent down low, evading a powerful punch intended for his head.
Then springing back up imdiately, he swung his head behind him, clobbering the beast in the skull—specifically targeting the sensitive eye area.
Cracks appeared around the area where the eye was located while the beast tottered backward in imnse pain.
Felix turned around just in ti to see the golem clutching the exact sa spot he had struck just now, its massive fra trembling.
’Hm? I have struck it in multiple places already, but it’s not in as much pain as it is right now,’ he mused inwardly when he finally reached a logical conclusion.
’... Guess I found a weak spot.’
His thigh muscles tightened, and then, like a spring unbound, he exploded forward, leaving thick trails of dust in his wake.
He crossed the distance between them in a second and then proceeded to leap into the air with a forceful, explosive push of his feet.
The beast regained its composure in ti as it looked at the human suspended in the air before it.
Furiously, the monster swung its massive hand toward Felix, aiming to crush him mid-flight.
Only for the werewolf to smile and then twist his body with feline grace before landing on the outstretched hand on all fours.
With a second forceful push, he appeared directly before the beast’s face and drove his fist into its eye, causing the singular organ to explode from the sheer force of the punch.
The creature staggered for a few seconds before crumpling to the ground, reduced to a re pile of rocks.
Felix was montarily confused.
’I thought beast cores were what powered beasts up, so why is this one defeated just from a punch to the eye?’ he wondered.
Sothing shiny beneath the rubble drew his attention, causing him to saunter over and bend down to pick it up.
When he did, he could see so incredibly thin muscles connected to the core, which in turn led back to the now-empty eye socket.
’Oh. The core does power the beast, but the eye is a dium of so sorts. Ah... one can’t really know with all these strange beasts,’ he sighed inwardly as he pulled the beast core out and stared at the glowing object for a second.
"I actually have no use for it... wait! Am I forgetting sothing?" Felix’s brows furrowed, wondering what he might have forgotten during the heat of the mont.
That was when his eyes widened in sudden realization as he whirled around almost imdiately, only to see the second golem he had been battling standing before him with a sinister, furious look on its stone face.
Its powerful fist lashed toward the boy’s head with increasing speed.
Before it could connect, Felix heard a voice:
"What a fool."
Then, soone rushed forward with impressive, blinding agility.
