Riven’s POV:
“No, this project is father’s dream. Only you can tackle this deal. Amongst all of us, father only trusts you with this project. I will go and protect our mate and our brother. I have a strong feeling that sothing terribly wrong is going to happen and it includes our very old enemies” was my serious reply, which widened their eyes.
“WHAT?” Kevin asked in astonishnt.
“WHO?” Caleb added with similar expressions.
“My dear brothers, I will tell you everything once the ti is right. Right now, I don’t have the luxury of ti”, I replied in a worried tone.
“Okay, but before going there. Just et Mr. Kim and inform him that you won’t be able to attend this eting due to an ergency. If you just go like this, they will find it rude. Everyone knows about the fight between Erica and Henna in the club”, Kevin said in a serious tone.
From the corner of my eyes, I saw Caleb’s eye roll and I knew it was for Erica. I don’t know why he hates Erica so much.
“Alright. I will do that” I replied in an understanding tone, rather than arguing.
Caleb’s expression completely changed and worry took over his handso face.
“Don’t worry, Caleb. I will take care of everything. Nothing will happen to Giselle or Stefan”, I said in a reassuring tone while patting his shoulders.
“I am really scared, bro. Will they be alright?” Caleb asked worriedly.
“Yeah, they will be. I will bring them back” I replied, smiling.
“I trust you, bro. You saved once and brought back from death. I know you will protect Giselle and Stefan too”, Caleb said with a small smile.
“For that, I need to leave right now. I will just greet this Mr. Kim and leave right away” I replied plainly.
“Okay, brother, thank you” Caleb said, smiling.
“No need to thank , Caleb. I am just protecting my mate and my brother”. I patted his shoulder.
“Let’s go to the waiting room where Mr. Kim and his family mbers are waiting”, Kevin interrupted us.
Without saying another word, we went towards the waiting room to et Mr. Kim.
But the mont Kevin opened the door of the waiting room, our eyes widened in shock.
There was no one in the room.
“Where did Mr. Kim go?” I asked. I was beyond taken aback when my eyes fell on the empty room.
“I don’t know. He was waiting for us. He ca before ti for this eting”, Kevin replied confusedly.
“I found it really strange the mont he ca before ti. Wait, I will call my assistant”, I said while removing my cell phone from my pocket.
I called my assistant, Mr. Posey, who ca running towards the eting room.
“Sir, you called ?” Mr. Posey asked obediently.
“You were in charge of this eting, right? Where is Mr. Kim then?” I asked in a demanding tone.
“He was here when I left, sir. I asked one of our boys to give him so tea and snacks. I left only when he said he is comfortable” Mr. Posey stuttered while speaking when my icy glare fell on him.
Thankfully, the boy who served them was passing by.
“Sir, I was just coming to your office” The boy glanced at Kevin and spoke.
“Why? What happened?” Kevin asked casually.
“Where is Mr. Kim?” I couldn’t help but ask hurriedly.
“That’s why I was coming to your office. Mr. Kim left with his family. He said his work here has been done and he will et you directly at the main plot next ti”, the boy inford.
“Main plot?” Kevin asked in a confused tone.
My doubts have been resolved! What I was thinking was true!
“Shit! Shit! Shit! No!” I punched the glass door in front of us and it shattered into a million pieces.
Mr. Posey and the young boy jumped back.
“Riven, what are you doing?” Kevin held my hand and pushed behind before I could destroy everything in the office.
“We need to leave, Kevin!” I said, holding both of his shoulders tightly.
“Leave? Where?” Kevin asked in confusion.
Did he forget his brains at the lake house today?
“To Stefan! At first, I was doubtful, I only had a feeling sothing was terribly wrong, but now, I am confird! They are in grave danger. Let’s leave before we lose everything!” I said, my voice was a perfect mixture of fear and anger.
“Grave danger? Speak clearly, Riven. I think it’s the right ti”, Kevin replied in a serious tone.
“Brother, you are scaring all of us!” Caleb added with frightened expressions.
“Everyone, leave. I need to talk to my brothers”, I commanded, and my assistant and the boy left imdiately.
Once they were out of sight, I walked inside the nearby office, and Kevin and Caleb followed . Once they were inside, Caleb closed the door.
“Don’t you get it! We are under attack! Their main target is Giselle and Stefan this ti!” I inford them in a concerned tone.
“What? What are you saying? Who’s main target? Who is attacking us?” Kevin asked in a curious tone.
“FOXES!”
