The class schedule has been updated, and it's packed from Monday to Friday.

There are even occasional classes on Saturdays and Sundays.

This news undoubtedly brought cries of frustration all over the campus group chat. Whether for students just looking to get their diploma or those aiming for postgraduate entrance exams or civil service exams, it's disastrous news.

Perhaps only the ones aiming for graduate school admission find it unimportant, because they've always been like this.

At Ke University, basically only the top 10% of students in terms of grades can secure graduate school admission, so those aiming for it are always the most intense batch.

"What's wrong? You seem really unhappy," asked the old Demon King, who had been binge-watching dramas all afternoon, noticing Xue Dili's cat-like sulking face.

"Oh, I'm just sensing the era's hostility toward our generation. In high school, we were the most intense batch, and right after I got to college, high school gets easier and college gets tougher... Suddenly I rember another incident from my middle school days..." Xue Dili showed a bitter gourd face and said,

"In seventh grade, it was our turn to shovel snow. In eighth grade, the school changed leadership and said they were rotating duties, changing it to eighth graders responsible for shoveling snow..." Xue Dili stared at the sky with dead fish eyes; he suddenly felt fortunate to receive the mory of his Parallel World self.

If it weren't for the Doctor's knowledge, he felt he might have been the first Planet Guardian to be expelled for failing to et academic standards.

If that were the case, he would have had to resort to his mother for a fake degree.

"Isn't this great?" said the old Demon King suddenly.

"Hmm?" Xue Dili responded suspiciously.

"Isn't it great to learn more knowledge? Your world is truly peaceful, able to let all children learn more knowledge, even forcing them to learn... I..." the old Demon King's words suddenly paused. He said, "I want to teach the Empire's children dozens of everyday words, and that's just impossible..."

Xue Dili: "..."

They were people with completely different worldviews, not even from the sa world. Looking at the old Demon King's three-ter height and his skin that seed like a blend of scales and exoskeleton, even their convergent evolution toward the Venerable King was primitive.

This is why Xue Dili often says their world is primitive society; their world's races are probably all from this "demi-human" category. Not like those with horns or ears, but humanoid with various strange external organs.

But oh well, Xue Dili thought it was normal; the whole Cosmos was just converging evolution toward the Venerable King, basically judging a race's developnt by how much they resemble a "God".

He suddenly felt his thoughts drift away again; ever since he'd witnessed more things, his thoughts were always like this.

"Ah, take it one step at a ti. If I really fail too many classes, I'll just sneak backstage and modify reality..." Xue Dili thought to himself, chatting with the old Demon King about the school issue.

The old Demon King once thought about running a literate school because he had gathered the entire world and barely collected a few hundred intellectuals. In their world, literati were even rarer than pandas.

So he considered cultivating the next generation more, at least producing more people who can read and do basic arithtic, so they wouldn't make outrageous errors like calculating the grain in the state treasury ten tis over.

But rely teaching basic literacy and asurent in the school was almost enough to collapse their Empire's finances, planting the seeds for the old Demon King's Empire collapse after 14 years.

Was establishing the school wrong? Xue Dili felt it wasn't, but the problem was the old Demon King was too hasty, wanting to accomplish what would take several generations within his own generation's ti, leading many things to be like the school establishnt.

It seed fine on the surface but upon closer inspection was full of loopholes.

You could only say the old Demon King suffered from not having history to refer to; he couldn't learn from any lessons, entirely crossing the river by feeling the stones without knowing when he went astray.

This is also why Xue Dili advised him not to follow others' paths, because many things you must explore yourself to understand the problems.

...

And just as Xue Dili was leaving campus, he suddenly saw a strange figure.

Tea-colored hair, glasses, a white coat... She seed to have noticed Xue Dili's gaze and then turned her head, their eyes eting.

Xue Dili imdiately touched his face. Luckily, he was wearing the Faceless Mask that turned into a hood, but even so, he only felt a headache, quickly putting on his hood and quietly blending into the crowd to leave the school.

How could it be her?

Xue Dili suddenly had a mind full of question marks; he frantically searched his mind for Doctor Xue Dili's mory, then astonishingly found that his Parallel World self also t her during an academic exchange at this very school...

Then both of them went on to study at Boston University.

However, the Parallel World's Xue Dili skipped three grades, and by eighteen was almost a graduate, while he was still a clueless freshman.

"Why did I just feel your guilt and anxiety?" the old Demon King asked.

He couldn't imagine this kid who fought fiercely would panic upon seeing an ordinary person.

"No way... it's just that it got cold and my hands are shaking..." Xue Dili argued.

"The water in your hand spilled."

"Oh... this water is too cold..." Xue Dili tried to pass it off with nonsense.

The old Demon King suddenly found it amusing. For the first ti, he saw a reaction on this person that was like any ordinary child, which was very interesting, and he couldn't help but want to tease a bit. Watching the little kitten hiss and fluff up had its own kind of fun.

...

On the other side, at this mont, Sparrow You looked in the direction of the distant crowd, lost in thought.

"What's wrong, You-chan?" asked the young lady speaking in Neon language beside her.

"No, maybe I just saw it wrong." Sparrow You turned her head and walked towards the staff placent area of the dical departnt. This ti, their school had co to Ke University for academic research and exchange on "Alzheir's Disease."

A lot of people ca with their ntor's team, and they might stay for several months or even more than half a year, so many people jokingly referred to this visit as "studying abroad."

She slowly closed her eyes, not knowing why she had been having a strange dream recently. The dream was very vague, very unreal...

The main thing was, she actually saw "Ultraman" in her dream, which made her feel very odd every ti she woke up. How could it be that the tokusatsu shows she watched more than ten years ago still haunted her dreams every day?

Yet the young lady beside her heartlessly said, "What are we going to eat tonight? I heard there's a foreign snack shop outside the school that's very popular. Want to try it?"

"Hmm hmm."

...

Xue Dili returned ho, and the mont he entered the house, he slled the aroma of food.

He was suddenly stunned, then rembered that now he was no longer living alone. His aunt also lived here.

After pausing for a mont, he felt he should say sothing.

He had lost his family at a very young age and was a child raised by the world, so he had never encountered such a situation before. Therefore, Xue Dili could only mimic a greeting he had seen sowhere, saying,

"I'm back." He said.

"Oh, then I should say welco back… alright, the food is on the table. After you eat, just leave it on the table. I'll take care of it after I wake up…" his aunt's weak voice ca through.

Xue Dili saw that she still looked half-asleep. She's been sleeping all the ti these past two days. Xue Dili didn't know if this was a normal phenonon for the immortal kind or so other problem. After speaking, his aunt ruffled her ssy hair and went back to her room to turn on the TV.

In the living room, Xue Dili saw won's clothes and socks casually thrown around the hall, but his clothes from yesterday were washed clean and hung on the balcony, which left him a bit speechless.

"Is she your relative?" the old Demon King asked.

"Uh, kind of half," Xue Dili said as he walked to the dining table to look at the dinner.

Potatoes, beans, and soybeans—it was very ordinary ho cooking, but he suddenly felt a bit warm inside. These were all dishes he liked to eat. His aunt knew what he liked to eat without even asking.

"Is she very old?" the old Demon King suddenly asked again.

"Yes, very old…" Xue Dili suddenly fell silent.

"Her life is like a candle in the wind, as if it's about to burn out completely. Cherish every day, even if she's of the immortal kind, she seems to have reached the end of her life. Most of the ti now, she's living on instinct and faith," the old Demon King's sudden words startled Xue Dili.

"How can that be?" Xue Dili said casually.

His aunt had lived for about 3500 years, but in the parallel world's mory, she had always been like that, sotis serious, sotis muddle-headed. It was like the ti perception of the immortal kind and the mortal kind was different.

Just like how mortals could be satisfied with 8 hours of sleep a day, the immortal kind might need to sleep for 7 days to feel well-rested.

"Even though your combat strength has reached the Demigod level, your perception is still at the ordinary Legendary Level," the old Demon King interrupted Xue Dili's la excuse without any courtesy. "In my perception, her Fire of Life has diminished to a small fla, and perhaps in a few years, it will be completely extinguished. No matter how powerful the immortal kind, they cannot resist the erosion of ti."

The old Demon King's tone was very certain.

Xue Dili suddenly stopped speaking. As he scooped up a mouthful of rice, he suddenly understood why soone like Blington from the previous world was so crazily pursuing Qijela.

Because Blington was already over 100 years old.

Listening to the sound of the TV in his aunt's room, Xue Dili thought he should find a way. If his aunt was willing, although it was a bit troubleso, he wasn't completely helpless.

"Your world is so wonderful… to , this is already a perfect world…" the Demon King suddenly sighed again.

Xue Dili was stunned, not understanding what he was sighing about.

"Even such elderly people can live safely and faithfully. Do you know, in my world, no one except has lived past 100?" the old Demon King's words continued, "Even though in our place, after reaching the Mythic Level, a lifespan of 200 is common, no one has lived past 100. Do you know why?"

"Why?" Xue Dili asked.

"They all died. Mythic Level people must use up their last bit of combat power to secure enough benefits for their race before their bodies decay… coupled with old injuries from young battles…" the old Demon King suddenly started speaking, and he sighed,

"Before I unified, there were no elderly people in my world…"
