"Then be back soon. Oh, and rember to let your injuries heal before you go."
Hearing her words and seeing Yue Xi’s smile as she looked back, Jian Shisan froze completely.
To him, this was the most beautiful sight he had seen in hundreds of years, and the most captivating.
He rembered the Saintess had smiled at him once when they were children.
It was because of that smile that he had never forgotten Yue Xi.
Back then, Yue Xi still lived in the water and was a strange little girl.
At the ti, Yue Xi wasn’t that pretty, nor was she the Saintess.
But by the ti Jian Shisan saw her again, she had already beco the Saintess.
The untouchable Saintess.
So, to be able to stand before Yue Xi, Jian Shisan began to cultivate diligently. It wasn’t until the day he shocked the Holy Land with a single sword strike that he finally had the courage to stand before her again.
His status as a Tier Seven Daoist made it so no one in the Holy Land dared to ignore him, at least not openly.
Unfortunately, he still couldn’t manage to exchange more than a few words with the Saintess.
But today, he had finally seen Yue Xi truly smile at him. It wasn’t that she had never smiled at him before, but this was a completely different kind of smile.
He didn’t quite understand it, but he knew it was different. He liked this smile very much.
It wasn’t until Yue Xi was far in the distance that Jian Shisan finally said woodenly, "Yes, of course."
Jiang Zuo sighed from a distance. ’This Jian Shisan is pretty lucky.’
’If Yue Xi had no feelings for him, it’s hard to say if he would have ever made any progress in his entire life.’
Soon, Yue Xi and Xuanwu arrived before Jingyue and the others. Jingyue scratched her head and said with a laugh, "Master, what a coincidence! You’re here too."
Su Qi snuffed out the fla in Jiang Zuo’s hand and said with a smile, "It’s so dark here, I can’t see a thing. Senior Sister, let’s go back."
Yue Xi looked at her two disciples and said, "I’ll let it slide today. Next ti, I’ll make you so uncomfortable you won’t know whether to stand or sit. Then I’ll put you in confinent for a few months."
Jingyue laughed. "Ah, it seems Master is in a good mood."
Su Qi nodded as well. "Of course she’s happy. She’s getting married."
Yue Xi’s brow furrowed. She then immobilized the two of them from a distance and said to Jiang Zuo, "I’m borrowing your wife for two days."
With that, she left, taking Jingyue and Su Qi with her.
Xuanwu followed them out.
Leaving Jiang Zuo all alone.
"..."
’Aren’t any of them going to help get out of here?’
’Though, Su Qi and Jingyue are probably going to get a beating.’
’It’s fine if she’s gone for two days. I’ll enjoy the peace and quiet.’
As for Yue Xi disciplining Su Qi, Jiang Zuo had nothing to say about it.
He couldn’t just assu Su Qi was being bullied and go on a rampage to save her, right? He wasn’t a reckless fool.
Just then, Jiang Zuo walked over to Jian Shisan and said, "Stop reliving the mont. You’ll get used to it."
Jian Shisan snapped back to his senses and said, "Thank you."
Jiang Zuo didn’t say anything. He wasn’t bothered about why Jian Shisan was thanking him; asking would be a hassle, so he just kept quiet.
Then, Jian Shisan raised his sword and declared, "I can beco stronger."
Jiang Zuo shook his head. "Power is only one part of life, not the whole thing."
Jian Shisan nodded, then asked, "Aren’t you leaving?"
Jiang Zuo said flatly, "I’m just an ordinary person. I can’t get out."
Jian Shisan was speechless.
Afterward, with Jian Shisan’s help, Jiang Zuo finally left the restricted area of the Holy Land.
Jian Shisan’s injuries were severe, so he left quickly. Yue Xi had told him to leave only after his wounds healed, and he was determined to do just that.
As for Jiang Zuo, he naturally headed for the Rainy Cottage. The room he had rented there shouldn’t have been given up yet.
But halfway there, he saw Chu Qing and Chu Qing.
The two of them were carrying all sorts of bags, big and small, filled with who-knows-what.
Upon seeing Jiang Zuo, Chu Qing exclaid in surprise, "Elder Po Xiao? Didn’t you go to Liyuan Island?"
Chu Qing also greeted him politely, "Hello, Uncle Po Xiao."
Jiang Zuo was genuinely a little surprised by this Chu Qing.
This Chu Qing’s attire wasn’t that strange here, and she was so polite that you couldn’t find any fault with her.
If it weren’t for the fact that it was the middle of sumr, there would be nothing strange about her appearance at all.
If she didn’t forge tal, she would be completely normal.
But in reality, she was a total freak.
A person who was often ntally unhinged.
And to top it all off, her Cultivation was high.
There’s but a single step between a genius and a madman. Eight or nine tis out of ten, a genius is a madman, but a madman is rarely a genius.
What a waste of a perfectly good girl.
’Then again, when I went mad, I went completely mad.’
’I won’t let myself go mad again now. If I go mad in this life, I’ll be beaten to death.’
Jiang Zuo looked at Chu Qing and asked, "What are you two up to?"
Chu Qing said, "We’re getting so things ready. My sister didn’t want to go fishing, so she brought shopping. We have to go back in a few days, and we can buy things here that we can’t get back ho."
With so many people gathered here, there was bound to be a market. The resources available were naturally much more abundant than in a single, fixed region.
After saying a few more things, Chu Qing took her sister to prepare for their next purchase.
From Chu Qing, Jiang Zuo learned one thing: the sacrificial rite was ending early.
The ten-day rite had been shortened to seven days, so it would be over in two more days.
So much had happened that the Holy Land couldn’t wait for the rite to be over.
The people who were here for the fishing felt the sa way, especially since a tyrannical aura had just appeared, making many of their legs go weak.
The Holy Land had truly been plagued by disasters this year.
Liuyue Xue, Mo Yan, and Chen Yi were fishing in a remote corner. With the powerful and arrogant ones gone, they could only keep a low profile.
Mo Yan wasn’t one to keep a low profile, but Witch Dan Xue had been keeping a close eye on her recently, so she didn’t dare to make a scene.
This was especially true since Chi Xue Child and the others weren’t around.
Mo Yan said, "Why do I feel so stifled?"
Chen Yi said coolly, "You’re the one who’s stifled. We’re not the ones being watched."
Demon Cultivator Mo Yan scoffed. ’That Witch Dan Xue only knows how to slander my na with fake headlines. If she has the guts, she should fight for real.’
’At least then I could fight back a little, instead of not even having a chance to argue my case.’
’That Witch Dan Xue is simply despicable and shaless.’
Mo Yan then changed the subject. "I heard a mysterious cave-dwelling appeared in our Demon Cultivator territory. It’s supposed to be ancient. Are you guys interested in checking it out?"
Liuyue Xue typed on her phone: Your injuries haven’t healed. Going would be suicide.
Demon Cultivator Mo Yan said, "We can drag Boss Po Xiao along with us! He can take the lion’s share, and we’ll just get the leftovers. If sothing happens to Boss Po Xiao, we can even help arrange his funeral."
Xiao Xiaomo said, exasperated, "Another Clothes Tomb? You want Boss Po Xiao to give you two more sets of clothes? Why don’t you ever learn your lesson?"
Just then, Liuyue Xue felt her phone vibrate. It was a ntion from Chi Xue Child.
Chi Xue Child: "@Liuyue Xue, I’ve got sothing to tell you all. We just got out of the Celestial Tribulation Space. It was a Celestial Tribulation model we’ve never seen before, with a thod of Crossing the Tribulation we’ve never seen before. My advice: go study up. At least morize the content."
Mo Yan, who was looking over, saw it and imdiately ntioned Chi Xue Child: "Why did you only @Liuyue Xue? Are we invisible? And what’s this about Crossing the Tribulation?"
