The place where the two ca from was naturally where Hamor City was located.
And at this mont, the target Ronald and Catherine were speaking of could only be the caster who had been tracking them from the city, with no other options.
Thus, just a few minutes after they finished speaking,
a rustling sound ca from the forest ahead.
Just by listening to the sound, one could know without needing to investigate that the number of people tracking them was definitely not small.
Quickly, this suspicion was confird.
In the direction leading to Hamor, a small team of over ten people appeared in Ronald and Catherine's view, including casters with strong magic fluctuations and strangely shaped summoned creatures.
However, the most striking one was their leader.
Who was also a familiar face to Ronald and Catherine — the Great Demon Lama!
"Damn..."
The mont he rushed out of the forest, Lama was obviously planning to use an imposing reprimand as an opening for the tracking force.
But when he saw Ronald and Catherine standing in the forest, smiling at his group, the Great Demon swallowed his words.
Those causing trouble here... turned out to be these two guys?
Lama had this thought, followed by confusion and bewildernt.
The two people in front of him had clearly agreed on a pact with his summoner, Dalman. Then what reason did they have for stirring up such a severe incident during these tense tis in the city?
Even if it was to obtain the details of the teleportation spell...
To put it bluntly —
In Lama's view, with the strength Ronald and Catherine possessed, if they truly wanted to use any ans necessary to obtain the secret, they could have taken thorough military action without any alternative maneuvers.
If their current behavior was for this reason, it made no sense!
Thoughts raced in his mind.
However, the Great Demon could not guess the truth.
In the end, unable to understand Ronald and Catherine's reasoning, he could only signal his team mbers behind to 'make no unnecessary actions' and then walked over with a smile.
"Mr. Ronald, we are tracking two casters who just left the city. Have you seen any trace of those two guys?"
Lama was completely giving them a way out.
To the point of pretending to be blind, unable to see the bizarrely shaped chanized core creature nearby, or the several human corpses lying at the base of the tree.
Of course, another thought crossed Lama's mind.
He was pondering how not to escalate the situation and bring his people back to the city alive. Or at least keep himself alive if that couldn't be achieved yet.
The Great Demon felt nervous and uneasy.
But fortunately, the situation on the field was much better than what he feared.
Ronald stepped forward, giving Lama a reassuring look:
"Lama, no need to be so tense."
"The attacks we carried out in the city tonight were not to destabilize Hamor, but to help you eliminate so very deadly hazards."
"Attacks in the city?" Upon hearing this, Lama hadn't even reacted when a young man behind him quickly stepped forward, speaking in what he thought was a small enough voice, "Mr. Lama, there have been four to five murders in the city tonight. This is very serious!"
Upon hearing this reminder,
Lama's expression twisted painfully, looking both awkward and uncomfortable.
Of course, he knew the young man behind him was reminding him of the current dangerous situation. But if the two people in front were truly malicious, then this well-intended reminder could beco the fuse that led to their annihilation!
"There must be so misunderstanding here!"
"How could Mr. Ronald and Miss Catherine..."
"..."
"As for the attacks this young man ntioned, we are indeed responsible for them."
At this point, Ronald spoke again, pinning the young man's reminder on himself.
He also perceived the group's current tension, so instead of building suspense, he directly explained the situation:
"Actually, just this afternoon, we noticed so sneaky summoned creatures in the city. After detailed investigation, we discovered they originated from [Entropy], a dangerous force intending to invade this world back then..."
Ronald calmly narrated his experiences and the ins and outs of the day's actions.
After hearing his account,
the group that had chased from Hamor City showed a rich variety of expressions on their faces.
Especially with the Great Demon Lama's assurance.
These Guardians of Hamor did not have much doubt and accepted Ronald's explanation.
So when they looked again at the core creature on the ground, now chanized, their eyes held not only dread and fear, but also more anger and hostility towards this enemy invading their city!
"Mr. Ronald, it's truly embarrassing,"
Lama, once again acting as the leader of this team, spoke, but his tone no longer contained his previous nervousness and fear.
"This matter should have been handled by us in Hamor, but it ended up troubling you two to take such painstaking actions."
"A re trifle," Ronald brushed it off without concern.
He intended to say so just words like 'since we're all human, it's natural to lend a hand in such matters,' but Catherine, hearing what Ronald ant to say, interrupted directly at this point:
"So consider it our reward!"
"In the coming two days in the city, you better let us taste all the delicious food you have."
Compared to Ronald's politeness, Lama was even more pleased to see Catherine directly asking for benefits.
So the Great Demon quickly nodded in agreent.
The attentive look on his face, as if Catherine wanted any exotic delicacies, he would imdiately go and fetch them for her.
Catherine was quite satisfied with Lama's response.
She even stepped forward and said to this Great Demon who was still working late at night:
"But by the way, you being out here working overti so late is really unlucky."
"Why not give it a try, why don't you go over and ask that guy a few questions?"
The object of Catherine's words was naturally the core creature motionless on the ground.
Upon hearing the invitation,
Lama's eyes flashed with countless thoughts, and he quickly nodded in agreent:
"Ask! Of course, I must ask!"
"Lady Catherine, your suggestion is very important to ! How could I be careless in such matters?"
