At the mont when Lumiere reminded her assistant,
Ronald’s gaze equally fixed tightly on this fellow.
—Another troubleso one.
The spell he had cast before was rciless.
Despite the ’Assault’ transforming into a black fog that had already enshrouded him, the River of Blood, which should have boiled the sinner’s flesh to decay, did not exert its intended effect.
The boy allowed the black fog to entangle him, appearing unconcerned in his deanor.
Indeed, this fellow had already acted in accordance with the spell’s requirents, yet the ’Assault’ was indeed unable to interfere with the other’s body.
"..."
Quietly stepping back two paces, Ronald knitted his brows.
He did not feel a sensation of his spell being neutralized as with Lumiere, nor did he detect any defensive spells resisting the erosion of the Divine Cody.
After ruling out these two possibilities,
The reasons that could explain the current phenonon were in fact only a few.
So... was this fellow not within the influence of the Divine Cody’s spell?
No sooner had this thought vaguely ford in his mind than Ronald almost imdiately affird the hypothesis.
—The reason was simple.
Because the purpose of his journey suggested that Lumiere herself was also likely not human.
Birds of a feather flock together, people in groups divide by kind.
It was quite reasonable for Lumiere to have non-human assistants who naturally fell outside the influence of the Divine Cody.
—Things had gotten a bit troubleso.
Once the target had such elents, most of the spells in Ronald’s hands would be rendered ineffective.
However, it wasn’t as though there were no solutions...
Conceiving a plan in his mind as quickly as possible, Ronald naturally waved one hand. Imdiately, the ’Assault’ infused with the River of Hell’s blood began to spread again, soon engulfing the entire manor within its spell’s range.
"..."
Thus, the manor fell into a brief silence.
Although the ’Assault’ could not dispatch the opponent cleanly, the tangible black fog’s ability to obstruct sight was not diminished in the slightest.
Suddenly deprived of vision, anyone would find themselves in a stalemate for a mont.
In this way, Ronald gained so room to maneuver for himself, while Lumiere and her companion, having lost sight, did not dare to move rashly for the ti being.
It was in this pitch darkness that Lumiere’s assistant spoke up:
"Hey, Lumiere."
"What the hell is going on?"
"I only received your ssage this afternoon; how could we have encountered such a prickly fellow tonight?"
Lumiere imdiately replied:
"If he weren’t such a difficult opponent, why would I have called you? But it is indeed a little unexpected that he could find my hiding place so quickly."
Hearing the tension in Lumiere’s voice, the young voice asked again:
"Let’s not talk about that now."
"So, do you have any effective thods to deal with our current enemy?"
"..."
Lumiere, hidden in the black fog, began to show a hint of resignation on her face.
Though she was reluctant to admit it, she still began to explain:
"Moore, you must understand that my spell and his co from the sa source, so they easily neutralize each other. And as a result, it’s hard for either side to take each other down quickly."
The young man continued to inquire:
"So now it all depends on ?"
"You’re completely useless now?"
While leaning her body back against the wall, Lumiere continued:
"Moore, you know my attitude towards you."
"We must help each other now."
"If I didn’t understand that, I wouldn’t have co, okay!" Lumiere’s words seed to put the young man in a particularly bad mood. Abruptly halting his companion’s speech, he too waved a hand, then turned to the impenetrable darkness before them, "Caster over there, listen up!"
"Out of basic rcy, just disperse this dark mist now, then co out and surrender to accept my slave contract, and I will spare your life."
"Listen, if you continue to remain silent, then don’t bla for getting rough."
"..."
From within the black mist, silence was naturally all that ca forth.
When facing an enemy, Ronald never had the habit of being easily deceived by the opponent.
He was making his preparations now.
What he needed was to wait for the right mont as much as possible.
Until these two people showed the slightest flaw, then he would imdiately grasp the chance that would secure his victory.
Following that, the specters controlled by Ronald began to converge in the upstairs room and started to attack Lumiere and her companion relentlessly.
Enslaved by the power of the river of blood, these specters had no hesitation whatsoever.
Wielding their spectral claws and sharp teeth, they launched arrogant, relentless, and frenzied attacks, with many specters even gradually starting to dissipate under the influence of the spell.
Dealing with these sudden assaults out of the darkness.
Lumiere stood silently in her spot at that mont.
Her summoned reinforcents, when faced with the attacks, were mostly using swift motions to dodge the frequent assaults launched by the specters.
Finally, after successfully dodging once more,
This man nad Moore couldn’t help but shout out,
"This is so annoying!"
"Since my goodwill is ignored, then pay the price for it!"
Crackle—
Suddenly, pale blue sparks began to shimr on the young man’s body.
Aside from where Lumiere stood, this blue electricity quickly spread throughout the room with unstoppable force, destroying everything around it.
Glass shattered, wooden floors showed signs of scorching, and even the air carried a slight scent of charring.
—It was a spell related to electricity.
However, when all these things had completely vanished, Lumiere’s summoned help stood in place, an expression of confusion starting to show on his face.
—The result of the attack was entirely different from what he had expected.
Using the electricity over a considerable area to seek out the enemy, then launching an attack.
This was a type of spell that Moore particularly liked to use.
Yet, even though the electrical glow had swept across much of the property, the result was that Ronald’s figure was not captured at all.
Where did the person run off to?
As the young man pondered, Lumiere, who was also hiding in the room, asked,
"Moore, how did it go?"
"Did you catch him?"
The young man’s expression was sowhat tense, but he also knew that he should not deceive his own companion during battle.
So he simply replied,
"No, that guy seems to have left this area."
"My spell interfered with most of the estate, but I still couldn’t find any trace of him!"
Hearing this reply, Lumiere’s expression also froze slightly.
What’s going on?
She had been searching for Ronald since the afternoon, how could he give up the idea of pursuing her the mont they t!
Such behavior didn’t match the logic of a normal person’s actions.
At that instant, Lumiere and Moore heard a sound simultaneously.
Puff-puff—
