Puff...puff...?

Hearing such sounds,

Both Lumiere and her assistant were sowhat puzzled.

They had felt no new spell fluctuations, nor had they heard Ronald’s voice chanting any incantation.

So this was not the effect of so kind of spell.

Then what did this noise signify?

Pulling such inexplicable stunts during battle?

Just noise, void of any magic power?

Amidst such a night, further obscured by the "violent" force transford into a black mist, Lumiere and her assistant dared not make any rash moves in an instant, fearing any action would play right into Ronald’s trap.

In the exchanges with a holder of an original to,

Any missed detail could very likely lead to one’s defeat by the opponent’s spell.

Several seconds of silence passed.

As the ’puff puff’ sounds continued around her, Lumiere finally couldn’t help but speak up:

"Moore, did your spell really not detect anything just now?"

"..."

The boy answered very decisively:

"My spell was aid to take his life; would I not tell you if I had found sothing?"

"..."

It couldn’t possibly be...

Ronald really escaped, could he?

Lumiere was very clear on her companion’s abilities. If Ronald was within his range of attack, there would be absolutely no reason for him to have escaped the power of the blue lightning arches.

But the result was that they completely failed to capture his figure...

What kind of spell was Ronald preparing?

As the two, shrouded in darkness, still wrestled with these uncertainties, Ronald, who had already stepped outside the residence, leaned gently against a tree in the courtyard, his eyes carrying a complexity of emotions.

From the beginning of their encounter until now, most things had been under his control.

Even before Ronald had truly engaged in combat, he had prepared several different types of battle strategies.

However, in terms of outcos, it seed his fancy strategies might have been needless.

The use of spells, linguistic persuasion, and the details of specific actions.

Lumiere and her companion had done quite well in these aspects, worthy of being called qualified casters.

It’s just unfortunate that when facing Ronald,

This qualification beca a hindrance to their fighting.

Typical battles among mystery-side individuals usually concluded with a display of spellcasting finesse and clever combat tactics.

Ronald, however, did not operate in this manner now.

Although he, too, had been shackled by this in the past, he had reorganized his thoughts a few days before and now had no intention of relying solely on spells.

Thus this evening, when Lumiere’s companion demonstrated traits which the "violent" force couldn’t handle, Ronald’s thought process had already undergone a significant change.

—In such a situation,

—What could be used to create the most direct effect?

—And the kind that could decisively settle the battle!

A relatively simple thod then erged in Ronald’s mind.

The ’violent’ force’s black mist swirling through the residence also assured Ronald that this plan was feasible.

Before Lumiere’s arrival,

The residence’s inhabitants, like ordinary citizens of Springs City, went about their daily lives, and the financially comfortable ones among them certainly had plenty of supplies stored for the winter.

Among these supplies, there was no small amount of flour.

So the result beca quite simple.

The black mist carried these bags of flour and it didn’t take long for them to move from the storage into the second floor of the enemy’s residence.

Firelight and Moore heard the ’puff puff’ sound, which was actually the sound of these flour bags being torn open and the flour inside being scattered into the air!

Once the flour from these bags dispersed, Ronald quickly utilized the properties of the black mist to control the dust around the two enemies, without them imdiately noticing.

Thus, this arrangent, which only made a sound but had no magical fluctuations, was completely beyond Firelight and Moore’s expectations.

Accustod to the battles of the mystical side,

they couldn’t even anticipate such an obvious tactic, could they?

Leaning against a tree, Ronald watched the spot where he had broken through the second-floor window, his expression inevitably tinged with sentint.

"Just like that, I won."

"It was really too easy..."

At this mont, the concentration of dust in the room was completely sufficient; all that was missing was a spark to ignite it.

Muttering softly to himself, Ronald’s right hand fingers lightly rubbed together.

At that instant,

the several unconscious ordinary people inside the mansion were imdiately propelled out of the building by the force beneath the floor.

anwhile, the ever-obedient black mist prepared a fla,

igniting it within the room where the two enemies were located.

Boom—

The room, filled with a mixture of black mist and flour, beca entirely opaque, and then ignited instantaneously, causing a severe shockwave and dust explosion that imdiately had noticeable effects within the house.

—The most classic phenonon of a dust explosion.

—And one of the more common dangers encountered in everyday life.

—Its power was also sufficiently lethal.

Then, under the trendous sound of the explosion,

Boom—

a second explosion occurred.

With Ronald’s ticulous design, the room’s conditions certainly matched for the greatest lethality; negative pressure squeezed in fresh air, and the stirred-up dust ignited again.

Walls crumbled, air shook, Firelight burst forth.

Even standing at a safe distance in the courtyard, Ronald could feel the magnitude of the explosion’s power.

Facing such an intense impact head-on,

these two fellows surely couldn’t co out of it without a scratch, could they?

Rising from the tree, Ronald imdiately controlled the black mist to drag the two people out of the explosion’s debris.

Such an exaggerated commotion could not be kept secret.

He needed to act quickly before people gathered.

"Hmm?!"

Next, upon seeing the two enemies being dragged out by the black mist,

Ronald couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

Firelight was already directly knocked unconscious by the fierce explosion, but it seed that thanks to the protection of her defensive spells, she was not in mortal danger.

But her companion nad Moore,

was not so lucky.

Directly facing the dust explosion before his eyes, this fellow’s body...

No, perhaps it should be said that the corpse was shattered beyond recognition.

Ronald could even see fragnts of the corpse in various states, along with very obvious sutures and stitched wounds on them.

What caught his attention even more,

were that most of these wounds appeared to be old.

So even showed very clear signs of decay.

So, this boyish-looking Moore was not human,

but a constructed being of magic...

Unable to help it, Ronald shook his head with a subtle expression:

"This really isn’t a person at all..."
