Now reading: Chapter 391 - 388 The Initial Confusion from Mystic Overlord: Reading Gives Strength, a Fantasy novel by Lost Solar Sail.

"So, that explains a lot of things," Ronald mused.

"..."

In the hidden library of the monastery, Ronald continued to organize and read through the books.

It was late into the night, and his daily limit on reading was about to be reached.

So, having arranged the records he had examined back into the wooden box, Ronald walked out of the hidden library at a leisurely pace.

The old monk sat by the fireplace at the entrance, his eyes fixed intently on the flas before him.

It seed that during the day Ronald spent going through materials, the old man had not left his post at all.

"Mr. Ronald, are you done?" the old monk asked.

Ronald nodded gently,

"Yes, I’m done."

"Today’s findings have been quite extraordinary, thank you very much."

The old monk slowly stood up and then walked into the library for a glance.

"We’ll tidy up the library here and then close it up."

"It’s getting late, Mr. Ronald. If you would like sothing to eat, there should still be food in the monastery’s kitchen. Feel free to help yourself."

"..."

Reminded by the old monk, Ronald suddenly realized he hadn’t eaten yet: breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper—he had forgotten such important things!

"I won’t bother you then."

"Take care."

After saying goodbye to the old monk with politeness, Ronald turned and walked out of the monastery.

The weather tonight was unexpectedly clear.

The Springs sky, usually shrouded in clouds, was now crystal clear, with twinkling stars hanging high, and even the air seed fresher than usual.

"It really is..."

"It must be an illusion..."

Walking down the street with few pedestrians, Ronald shook his head with a smile.

Perhaps it was because he had obtained so much information at once today; his mood was so buoyant that he found everything more pleasing than usual.

Ronald prided himself on his detective ability and considered himself accurate in observing the details of daily life.

Based on his usual observational details and what he actually saw in the library today, the books the church had opened up to him were unquestionably authentic.

There were no heart-stopping adventures, no life-or-death battles, no scheming and undercutting.

Only simple negotiations and requests.

The fog that had been looming overhead since his arrival had been largely dispersed in one go.

Thus, the true purpose of the "Nine Commandnts" beca glaringly obvious, the essence of the original texts was getting closer, and among the church’s collection, Ronald noticed a na that particularly concerned him.

—Hops Adler.

According to the records in the file, this person was one of the main forces behind the End of the Dark Age, and his actions were extrely ’impactful’.

In the battle against Casters who opposed reform.

This holder of original texts single-handedly defeated three major mythological schools of trendous influence at the ti, even killing the holders of original texts who were at the headquarters of those schools and captured a considerable number of original texts.

During the Dark Age, large schools that owned and successfully interpreted original texts had more than one such text. The fact that Hops Adler could achieve such staggering results on his own spoke volus about his personal strength.

Besides his formidable combat prowess,

another reason Ronald took notice of this na was Hops’ surna—the sa as Ronald’s own.

—Adler.

Combining this with his earlier deductions, Ronald believed that Hops was very likely an ancestor of the original owner of the body he now inhabited, which provided a very understandable explanation for more things, such as the change in attitude of the princess towards him.

As the royal family ruling the world’s foremost nation.

Understanding that period of the Dark Age and thus recognizing the Adler surna was only to be expected.

```
But if all of this was true,
Ronald would have to find an opportunity to return to the Adler family ancestral mansion.
Although he inspected the mansion on the night he crossed worlds, he didn’t find anything unusual.
However, Ronald hadn’t forgotten that there was a locked room in the mansion.
Perhaps, that unopenable room concealed so significant secrets.
After all, in the data he examined today...
it recorded the fate of Hops Adler.
This caster, known as one of the strongest in the Dark Age, disappeared suddenly while in the process of rectifying the world.
Later, as society erged from chaos and regained stability,
it took decades before soone unexpectedly found the caster in a rural area.
Tis had changed.
By then, the elderly Hops had not explained his past experiences, nor had he revealed any information to outsiders, living out his days like a regular country noble and dying peacefully in the remote village where he retired.
There was no news at all in his hands.
Naturally, Ronald would not speculate wildly about reality.
Reasoned conjectures could be made under certain conditions, but without any clues, it would only be delusion.
He continued his way to the rented boarding apartnt.
Ronald lowered his voice to open the door and made his way back to his room.
He simply boiled a pot of hot tea, then started chewing on a few slices of bread.
"..."
Ronald had always harbored so doubts.
When he first arrived in this world, he adopted a very cautious attitude towards his surroundings, and there were things he decided not to probe into.
But with the acquisition of "Divine Cody" and today’s encounter,
perhaps it was ti to take so things out for study.
After finishing the only al of the day, Ronald slowly got up and walked to the bookshelf, where he flipped through a pile of books to find a notebook.
——"Ronald Adler’s Diary"
Ronald was very certain in his heart.
This diary was an ’anomaly’.
That’s why, even though he clearly left the room, he had retraced his steps to take this ’diary’ with him again.
After escaping from the illusion built by the original work, everything around him seed to maintain consistency with the illusion.
But the "Ronald Adler’s Diary" on the desk was in a different state.
In the illusion, the diary was open with ink stains on it.
Yet, in reality, the diary’s cover was closed!
Such an obvious discrepancy had caught Ronald’s attention, but at the ti, clueless about the mysterious aspects, he didn’t dare to probe rashly and simply took the diary with him.
Now, in light of subsequent experiences...
Ronald was becoming increasingly aware of the uniqueness of that first night after crossing worlds.
When he obtained the book "Rain Mist Divine Hamr",
he had gone through and passed an original text trial!
However, unlike "Daedalus’ Book", apart from the original spells of "Rain Mist Divine Hamr", Ronald did not acquire any abilities related to lightning or rainy nights!
Original spells were not like ordinary spells.
Having successfully passed the trial, where were the spells Ronald should have received, which he could use at will apart from the original text?
The answer, as of today,
was already quite clear.
