Unlike the defense battle against the monsters at the port.
In Dantrian’s absence, the battle on the Sunset Ocean had turned into a one-sided situation.
Without Dantrian, who could face off against an artificial deity head-on, the Defenders of Springs could no longer sustain the forrly chaotic combat situation, and they could only gather together and make a forced attempt to resist the attack from the Wizards of Barrier Mountain.
And the result of that...
Was that except for the director of the Investigation Bureau and a few others.
These people belonging to the Defenders of Springs were nearly all injured, with the most severely wounded being incapable of any action other than moving.
"Ladies and gentlen, it seems your queen has abandoned you, hasn’t she?"
At this mont, naturally, there were Wizards from Barrier Mountain intending to add to the psychological pressure of their enemies, their mocking taunts imdiately emanating from beneath their robes.
However, the Casters on the side of Springs remained very quiet.
The investigators who had been through such battles had beco the backbone of the team, these powerful individuals who had experienced countless incidents were well-versed in matters of life and death.
Instead of engaging in verbal skirmishes that toyed with emotions with the enemy,
they preferred to make the most of their ti building up defenses to withstand the next wave of attacks.
Behind them,
the situation aboard the military ships had completely descended into chaos.
With Dantrian gone, Barrier Mountain had successfully pulled more Wizards to launch an attack here, and the close-combat personnel from the protection and defense units had already been caught in hard fighting, even becoming unable to fulfill their duty of protecting their comrades.
——The scales of victory.
——Had completely tipped in favor of Barrier Mountain’s Wizards.
In the original tiline, Dantrian had not organized the troops in advance, and it was only after the Wizards raiding Springs launched indiscriminate attacks on the present Casters that the attackers fell into a disadvantage.
But now?
The organization by Dantrian had instead beco a catalyst for falling into a disadvantageous position.
The other schools’ Casters in the city had not been attacked and simply saw the Wizards from Barrier Mountain as assailants challenging the queen’s authority—they naturally had no reason to join the battle imdiately.
Added to this was the sudden ergence of sea monsters from the water.
The current situation in Springs was undoubtedly at its worst.
"..."
Yet, regarding the present circumstance, it seed the artificial deity had a different understanding of it.
When it took the opportunity of Dantrian’s absence to lead the Wizards of Barrier Mountain in suppressing this group of Casters, the figure of the artificial deity suddenly stopped mid-air, simultaneously lifting its head slightly.
Though its eyes were tightly shut,
it seed to still be attentive to sothing in the sky.
This abnormal behavior was naturally noticed by the Wizards of Barrier Mountain, and a Wizard garbed in a white robe imdiately approached the artificial deity, then quietly asked:
"Modimo, what is this...?"
The artificial deity shook its head slightly, its voice almost murmuring softly:
"The Three Pure Ones..."
"How could he possibly appear here?"
"That’s impossible, isn’t it?"
The white-robed Wizard furrowed his brow.
Although the deity’s voice was low, he imdiately grasped the implication behind the words.
"The Three Pure Ones..."
The white-robed Wizard was about to continue questioning.
But before he could speak up, a bright light flashed from the sky and halted directly at the center between the Wizards of Barrier Mountain and the Casters of Springs.
At that mont, people on both sides fell silent all at once.
The person who suddenly appeared was a young man, wielding an elegantly designed black Longsword, its brilliant scorching light protecting both him and the wings behind him.
And what was even more astonishing was—
The re Magic Power emanating from this man was enough to make everyone recognize the gap between him and a normal Caster.
For comparison,
If the Magic Power content of a holder of an original text was one hundred,
Then based on this man’s current performance, he had at least over five hundred in quantity—this was a disparity of well over five tis!
The air went silent for several seconds.
The chief of the investigation bureau recognized the identity of the newcor from his silhouette.
He then asked in surprise,
"You... Ronald Adler?"
"..."
Ronald nodded slightly and then raised his hand to gesture his friendly stance towards Springs. His choice to not imdiately rush to the battlefield upon his return was predominantly due to Patricia’s substantial injuries in the water.
Ronald had taken Patricia back to the city first to ensure she was properly settled.
Only after that did he return to the battlefield in the port district as swiftly as possible.
Speaking of the outco—
He should not have arrived too late.
It was at that mont that the white-robed wizard from Barrier Mountain spoke up,
"How could you possibly appear here..."
"No, Ella... What about Ella and Glenta!"
Ronald did not imdiately grasp what was being asked.
He pondered for a few seconds before realizing that the nas in question were those of the council mbers he had eliminated in the "Infinite Negative Domain."
Consequently, Ronald flashed a brilliant smile.
At the sa ti, he summoned the original text of "The Origin of Species" into his hands to display,
"Take a look at this, what do you think?"
"..."
The white-robed wizard’s eyes widened instantly.
He recognized the cover of "The Origin of Species" and naturally understood what it ant.
"Ella was a crucial person who guaranteed our eternal life!"
"And you... You dared to kill her!"
As his words fell, the white-robed wizard’s body surged with magic power, and he showed a fierce glare, about to fly towards Ronald.
However, just before that happened.
The artificial deity extended his hand to stop him.
"Stay calm!"
"The spell for eternal life is not exclusive to Ella’s casting, don’t lose your composure in front of the enemy."
The relentless ferocity in the white-robed wizard’s eyes did not abate:
"Modimo!"
"That was Ella!"
"And Glenta and Alston, all three of them went together. And now... but now..."
The tragic fury in the white-robed wizard’s tone was deeply genuine.
However, the artificial deity did not show any distress over the loss of the three council wizards.
It simply turned its head to the white-robed wizard and gently opened its own crimson eyes:
"I said—stay calm."
"..."
His words carried a magical command.
Upon hearing such an almost authoritative reminder, the white-robed wizard finally snapped out of his uncontrollable rage.
In the end, he glared at Ronald resentfully.
Only then did he step back behind the artificial deity.
"Ronald Adler."
The artificial deity resud speaking, first stating Ronald’s na.
Ronald still smiled and said,
"What’s the matter? Do you intend to catch up with before the fight, or seek vengeance for those three?"
"Emotions should not affect the battle," the artificial deity declared calmly, denying this notion, and then proceeded, "What I want to know is how you could appear here—and if you were able to escape the seal, then why is it that the people I left to watch over the seal are unhard?"
Ronald smiled and then lifted the Longsword of Saint Catherine towards the adversary:
"Do you think I would answer a question from an enemy?"
"The delusions of a fool!"
