During their subsequent trip along the forest path, the snowflakes fell more slowly from the sky.

Without wind, this often ant the snowflakes grew larger.

By the ti the trio reached the entrance to the Warden’s residence, the streets around them had begun to accumulate a layer of white enough to obscure their original hues.

Bathed in the light of dusk, the entire residential area seed quiet and serene.

This ti, noticing the arrival of Ronald and his companions, the guard at the entrance of the Warden’s residence took the initiative to ask,

"Are you... the one who ca this afternoon?"

"Yes," Ronald nodded, taking out the sa excuse Nicole had used in the afternoon, "I’m still bringing soone over, please notify the butler."

"..."

"I understand."

After hesitating for a few seconds, the guard turned and ran to the main house’s entrance before knocking on the door and speaking with soone inside.

A few minutes later, the very sa butler from the afternoon appeared at the door.

He approached Ronald at an unhurried pace, but the mont he prepared to speak, he froze.

The butler’s gaze shifted gradually from Ronald to Patricia.

He hardly gave a second glance to the witch, looking like a typically guilty prisoner, who was being escorted by the pair.

The butler’s voice was sowhat tense as he asked,

"Is that... Lady Nicholas?"

"Yes, it’s ."

Patricia nodded openly in acknowledgnt and then gestured towards the sorceress with her eyes, introducing in a calm tone,

"As you can see, we are responsible for bringing this guest here."

"There are no other purposes for our visit today."

Considering Patricia’s words for a few seconds, the butler then solemnly replied,

"Please, co inside and have a seat."

"The master has just finished his work for the day and will soon be ho. It’s best to let the master personally handle new visitors who arrive ’unannounced’ without an appointnt."

Saying this, the butler already signaled the guard to open the gate, gesturing for the two to co in quickly.

"..."

Seeing the butler’s warm manner, Patricia straightforwardly asked Ronald,

"What do you think, Ronald?"

"If you have other things to attend to, I can wait here by myself."

"I promise nothing will go wrong."

Ronald could hear the sincerity in Patricia’s tone and understood her thinking.

The butler obviously intended to receive guests because of Patricia’s arrival, and she didn’t want to waste Ronald’s ti for such a reason, hence her question.

However, to be honest, he was also very interested in the original holder of Biberonwich, and found it acceptable to seize this opportunity to et him.

So, Ronald shook his head as well,

"I’m off duty for today and still have so ti to spare."

"Good."

With their decision aligned, the two followed the butler’s steps, escorting the sorceress inside. Passing through the gate and entering the house, Ronald entered the residence of a true noble for the first ti since his arrival.

He had to admit, the Warden, who not only possessed the original spirit texts of Biberonwich’s mysterious side but also held the dual title of the chief administrator of prisons, maintained an impressively high standard of living.

The mansion, primarily brick-white in color, had interiors that were spacious and bright. The hallways and the main hall were adorned with eye-catching paintings on the walls, clearly worth a fortune at just a glance.

Even the servants they encountered working in the house appeared to be in both better physical and ntal health than the average people on the streets of Biberonwich.

Upon reaching the second floor’s dedicated guest room, they found the furniture was not only exquisitely selected but also comfortable.

The whole house, both in terms of decorative furnishings and the internal layout facilitating movent, exhibited the standard of living befitting the upper class.

Ronald and Patricia had just settled into their chairs when the butler who had led them in began to speak:

"May I ask if the two of you have any preferences for drinks?"

"So tea is fine."

"Please wait a mont." The butler bowed slightly, showing a formulaic polite expression, "I will have soone bring it over imdiately, please wait for a short while."

"I should not disturb you further."

"If you need anything, simply command the servants at the door."

After finishing his words, the butler imdiately turned and left, a hint of hurry in his step.

It seed that while welcoming Ronald and Patricia, there were indeed other matters awaiting his attention.

"..."

The door gently closed, and the figure of the butler also disappeared from the room.

The air in the room fell silent for a few seconds before Patricia was the first to speak:

"I apologize, Ronald."

"It was sowhat inconsiderate of ."

The young lady felt she had been too careless. Having had limited interaction with the locals during her days in Biberonwich had made her sowhat relaxed.

Under normal circumstances, she should not have been seen by the butler at the door.

Otherwise, anyone who was aware of her identity would not fail to invite her in for a visit upon her arrival.

And out of proper etiquette, she also found it inconvenient to refuse directly.

"It’s alright, it’s an opportunity for to gain so experience."

Hearing Patricia’s apologetic tone, Ronald was quite relaxed.

"In fact, I have not been in Biberonwich for long either, and there was nothing much left after work ended today, so this is actually quite nice."

Saying this, Ronald’s gaze drifted to the female magician beside them.

The butler probably, for the sake of solidifying his excuse, had not sent soone to take Jennifer away, so she was still following them.

Throughout the walk here, the female magician was indeed very quiet, barely interacting with them.

Knock knock knock—

After a few minutes, the sound of knocking appeared at the door, followed by a timid voice from the outside:

"May I co in?"

Patricia replied out of habit:

"Please do."

The owner of the voice pushed the door and entered.

She appeared to be a young maid in her early twenties, dressed in a long wide-sleeved maid’s gown.

In her hands, she held a silver tray steadily, upon which was a whole set of white porcelain teaware with a floral pattern, as well as two pale-yellow, fluffy cakes.

Placing the tray on the table between Ronald and Patricia, she imdiately picked up the teapot and began skillfully pouring tea for the two.

After delivering tea and cakes in front of them, she respectfully retreated to the door:

"Do you have any other requests?"

Patricia waved her hand:

"That will be all for now."

"Yes."

Bowing once more, the maid left the room, not forgetting to say:

"I will wait by the door. Should you need anything, please do not hesitate to call."

As her voice faded, the maid gently pulled the door closed but did not lock it.

Ronald and Patricia exchanged glances before finally attending to the cakes and tea in front of them.
