Gold dust twisted into thick ropes and snapped tight around Obito Uchiha's arm.
Lightning surged along the glittering strands.
A sharp, numbing pain shot up Obito's limb. His eyes went wide with shock.
"Kamui!"
Everything had gone completely sideways.
Obito never imagined Rasa would spot him first—let alone counterattack before he could even blink. His genjutsu hadn't landed. Not even close.
"How… how is this possible?!"
Obito was still young, but the Mangekyō Sharingan had sharpened his instincts. He reacted instantly. An invisible vortex spun open and his body phased out of existence.
Pat.
A single drop of bright red blood hit the sand.
Beside it lay a scroll.
Rasa's eyes narrowed.
"Obito Uchiha… what the hell are you doing in Sunagakure? If you were going anywhere, it should've been Kirigakure."
He hadn't expected an ambush from the masked Uchiha. By the ti he sensed the threat, there was no ti to set a perfect trap. Obito's Kamui made him slippery as hell.
"This little bastard… was he trying to put under genjutsu? Control , then control the whole village like his personal chess piece?"
Rasa ordered a sand soldier forward. It scooped up the scroll and unrolled it. No traps—just page after page of ninja-world intelligence. His gaze locked on one section: the part about Rin Nohara.
Everything clicked.
"In the original tiline, Obito took over Yagura to get revenge on Kirigakure for killing Rin. But now he's unsure. Too many stories floating around—Sunagakure, Iwagakure, Konoha, the Uchiha, the Takechi clan… So he ca here to check if we were the ones who set Rin up."
Rasa's voice dropped, cold and venomous.
"This little shit. Next ti I see you, you're not walking away."
He felt zero warmth toward Obito. Not even the sa grudging respect he gave Hiruzen. Obito had betrayed Minato and Kushina—people who had only ever shown him kindness. The sa kid who got to run free while Shisui was watched like a hawk. All because of Minato and Kushina's protection.
Rasa rembered the raw pain on Minato's face when that ssenger arrived during their fight. That had been the news of Obito's "death."
"Since you ca looking for trouble in my village, I'll return the favor."
He already knew exactly what the third rumor would be.
"Send for Ebizo. Now."
The Anbu vanished. Minutes later, Ebizo stepped into the Kazekage's office, looking years younger. The Mist's surrender had lit a fire under every Sand shinobi. For the first ti in the entire war, Sunagakure had claid a real victory—and it felt damn good.
"Lord Kazekage."
"Ebizo. I've got a job for you."
"Na it."
"Konoha and Kirigakure have already split. The war's over. But I want their relationship to get even uglier. If they kiss and make up, we'll be the first target on their list. Sunagakure can't afford another war this soon."
Ebizo nodded. "What do you need?"
"Start with the Kirigakure Anbu attack on that Konoha squad. Spread the word that it was all Danzo's doing—self-sabotage so Konoha could ditch the Mist like dead weight. ntion that Danzo dragged Orochimaru here to offer peace. Make it stick."
Rasa didn't like Obito. He didn't like Danzo either. Both had tried to screw his village. Two birds, one stone.
Ebizo thought for a second. "What if the Mist actually investigates and finds out it was their people?"
"Impossible. That move helped nobody in Kirigakure. It was Madara's setup all along—they're victims too."
"Understood."
[Ding!]
[The rumor you spread — "The Evil Danzo Shimura, the Betrayed Kirigakure, the Innocent Konoha Ninja" — has begun spreading.]
[Remaining activation points: 1. Activate to boost persuasiveness and earn points.]
[Activate?]
"Activate."
[Activation successful.]
Ebizo was still walking out the door when Rasa glanced at the system panel. Points were ticking up—slow, but steady.
So the ninja world already had pieces of this rumor floating around. My version just filled in the blanks.
Still too damn slow. If I don't push it harder, I'll be waiting forever for the next draw.
He watched Ebizo leave, then pulled out the Versus Points Exchange Card with a smirk.
