[Congratulations, Host. You have obtained an A-rank item: Sandification (S-rank ninjutsu).]
[Sandification]
[—Turns your body into sand, granting immunity to all physical damage. Weak to Water Release.]
Rasa raised an eyebrow.
"Basically the Hozuki clan's Hydrification Technique, except mine turns into sand instead of water. They're weak to Lightning. I'm weak to Water."
"Exactly like Crocodile's Sand-Sand Fruit from One Piece. Or the Desert King's ability from Fairy Tail."
The na alone made it obvious where it ca from.
He frowned slightly.
"Being weak to Water is a real downside. Water Release is way more common than Lightning."
"But that doesn't make Sandification worthless. Not even close."
He was already running the numbers.
First, he lived in the Land of Wind. Sunagakure was nothing but endless sand. Finding enough water to threaten him here would be a nightmare for most enemies.
Second, he had Ground Surface Cracking. One use and he could suck every drop of moisture out of an entire area. Arc-Moon Sand Dune did the sa thing on contact.
If soone tried to hit him with Water Release, he could either counter with Arc-Moon Sand Dune or block with magnetized gold dust.
Alone, Sandification had a flaw.
Combined with his other techniques—and especially while the enemy didn't know about it—that flaw shrank to almost nothing.
Just like Obito's Kamui. When nobody knew what it did, it was basically cheating. Even Minato had eaten shit because of it.
Rasa glanced at the last reward.
"Versus Points Exchange Card."
Sa old card. He'd already used the previous two on Danzo.
"Use."
Six nas appeared on the card.
Ōnoki.
Hiruzen Sarutobi.
A (the Fourth Raikage).
Fuguki Suikazan.
Jinpachi Munashi.
Yagura.
Rasa clicked his tongue.
"No Danzo? That's disappointing."
Danzo was so easy to trigger. One little push and the points poured in.
He scanned the list.
"Fuguki and Jinpachi aren't great right now. They just gave interviews. Plus they're enemies of the Mist, which makes them useful to . Enemy of my enemy and all that."
"Hiruzen and A… not much overlap lately."
"Ōnoki…"
Rasa's mouth twisted. Most of Sunagakure still hated the old bastard and his village. Before the Mist ever started bullying them, Iwagakure had already ground Sunagakure into the dirt.
Now that Sunagakure was strong, everyone was waiting for the perfect excuse to go to war and take back everything they'd lost.
Rasa wanted to wait a little longer. The Sun Disks had already eaten through too many resources, and the village's mid-tier ninja still weren't strong enough to take on Iwagakure head-on.
"Ōnoki can wait."
His eyes settled on the last na.
"Yagura's the perfect target."
Yagura was beaten. Sealed. Still alive. And locked in a prison he couldn't escape. Easy to provoke. Even if he wasn't as sensitive as Danzo, pulling two thousand points off him shouldn't be hard.
Deep beneath the eastern sector of the Sun Disk zone, hundreds of ters underground, sat a specially built prison.
Yagura was inside, still wrapped head to toe in sealing scrolls. Only his eyes were visible.
The second he saw Rasa, pure hatred exploded in them.
He couldn't speak. Couldn't move. The Sun Disk zone attacked any unmarked living thing that entered without permission. That was exactly why Rasa had put him here. Safe. No one from the Mist could reach him.
Rasa didn't say a word. He simply opened the latest issue of the Ninja World Big Events Weekly and held it in front of Yagura's face, headline facing him.
The mont Yagura read it, his eyes burned with fresh, murderous rage.
Rasa watched the emotion points on the card climb at a ridiculous speed.
He smirked.
"Didn't expect Yagura to be this easy to piss off. Good. Two thousand points is going to be simple. This visit alone just pushed him past a thousand."
The more Yagura hated him, the bigger Rasa's smile beca.
The bigger Rasa smiled, the more Yagura seethed.
It was a perfect feedback loop.
"Excellent."
On the other side of the world, after days of arguing, the Mist high council finally made their decision.
Chojuro would beco the Fifth Mizukage.
When the announcent went out, the entire ninja world accepted what they already suspected.
The headline had been true.
The Fourth Mizukage, Yagura, was dead.
