After a while, Yugao returned dressed in battle-ready attire, the purple blade on her back, and a fox mask on her face.
Since she'd left Konoha with Obito, she typically wore a mask when taking missions from the underground gold exchange to avoid trouble.
She didn't use her real na either... her code na was "Murasaki."
"I'm ready."
"Alright then, let's go."
Obito placed a hand on her shoulder, and the two of them vanished in a blink.

They reappeared beside a marked tree trunk.
"This is…?" Yugao looked around, montarily stunned by the sudden scenery change.
"The Flying Thunder God technique," Obito explained. "The signature jutsu of the Fourth Hokage. He used it to make his na... the Yellow Flash."
"I see…" Yugao suppressed her surprise, then asked,
"Where are we now?"
"We're still in the Land of Water," Obito said seriously, sounding like he was reading from a bingo book of high-level bullshit.
"The Fourth Mizukage is busy sealing the Three-Tails not far from here. The Terumi clan of Kirigakure has chosen this mont to stage a rebellion."
"With the Fourth tied up, I've been given a commission to handle them."
"The mission: Exterminate the Terumi clan. If they can't be wiped out, stall them until the sealing is complete."
"Tailed Beast…" Yugao's expression shifted.
She'd already seen the power of a tailed beast—the Nine-Tails, that night.
She hadn't expected her mission to be tied to a major shinobi village like Kirigakure… or its internal civil war.
She asked next, "Any intel on the Terumi clan?"
"According to reports, they're dispatching more than a dozen Jōnin and over thirty Chūnin. Estimated ti of arrival...tonight."
"A dozen Jōnin?!" Yugao was stunned.
"What, you scared?" Obito glanced at her.
"Hardly." She glared at him before continuing,
"Any other intel? Their route? Ninjutsu specialties?"
"They'll probably co from over there," Obito pointed. "As for ninjutsu..."
"The Terumi clan has a Kekkei Genkai—Boil Release. It creates thick, corrosive, high-temperature fog."
"Boil Release combines water and fire nature. Given we're in the Land of Water, they're probably also good at Water Release, and maybe so Fire Release too."
"You'll likely need to rely on Murasaki's defensive techniques. Given chakra consumption, I recomnd a quick fight."
"Got it." Yugao nodded, pulling out two scrolls from her pouch.
She opened one and made a few seals.
Poof! Poof!
A pile of wire, kunai, shuriken, and explosive tags appeared.
Without delay, Yugao began setting traps in the forest.
As ti passed, night fell. The land beca bathed in soft moonlight.
In the second half of the night, black shadows flickered through the forest mist.
"Hn~"
The middle-aged man leading the group suddenly halted, raised a fist, and signaled a stop.
Dozens of figures behind him froze instantly.
After a few gestures, four shinobi dashed ahead cautiously, scouting.
The main force stayed back and followed at a distance.
What they didn't know was that two figures were already standing quietly on a tree branch nearby, hidden in the night.
The steel wires blended perfectly with the dim forest, nearly invisible.
Obito ignored the scouts. Once the main force was within the trap zone, he signaled Yugao.
She swiftly cut the wire beside her.
Whiisssshhh
The silence shattered with the faint hiss of tal slicing the air.
"Enemy attack!" the shinobi shouted in alarm.
From all directions, kunai and shuriken flew through the night like a hurricane, raining down on them in waves.
Clang!
Pfft! Pfft!
Unghh!
The sound of tal clashing and weapons striking flesh echoed throughout the forest.
Boom…
A flicker of fla drew eyes to the glowing tags at the ends of kunai.
"Oh no—!"
BOOM!!
"AHHHHHH!"
Deafening blasts erupted, the firelight blinding in the dark.
"Tch~" Obito clicked his tongue as he watched the fiery chaos.
Yugao, huh.
This chick pulled out the rich-girl playbook.
