Seii and the eight other ninjas with mastery over the large-scale Earth Release Ninjutsu acted fast and began altering the terrain.

First, they used the Earth Release: Moving Earth Core, a B-rank Earth Release Ninjutsu, to create multiple 30x30 square ters wide and 10-25 ters high elevated platforms behind and in front of the town walls.

Seii had to say that the commanding ninja was an expert at controlling the battlefield and defending against hordes of chakra beasts.

Sure enough. Even though the outco of many battles in this world depended on individual strength, group battle tactics were still highly developed.

After all, it could beco quite handy in the large battlefields where most ninjas have similar strength, or against the chakra beasts, the nesis of humanity.

Seii could clearly feel that while he was altering terrain on a large scale, and setting up traps within it for the chakra beasts.

Although the final battle would still be quite intense and many would die, the preparation would at least make head-on fights against the chakra beasts in the middle and final stages easier, potentially saving many lives.

In addition to Seii's nine-mber Earth Release group, the Earth-style experts stationed in the eastern and western checkpoints also contributed.

By the ti they were done altering the terrain, the chakra beasts were still seven to eight kiloters away.

However, they were approaching fast.

So, Seii imdiately rejoined his original group consisting of Senju Haku, Uchiha Sorata, Abura Shoji, and Hyuga Ginjo.

At first, they were worried that Seii had spent too much chakra during the terrain change operation.

However, when Seii released the restraint (a simple seal to hide chakra capacity) on his chakra, it beca clear to everyone that they had nothing to worry about.

Although Seii contributed most during the earth alteration earlier, he still had more than 90% of his chakra reserve thanks to his growth in recent years.

Plus, his chakra recovery speed had improved a lot, too.

Seii guessed that his passive recovery ability was enough to recover the chakra he had just spent within half an hour.

He assud that in a decade or two, his chakra recovery capability should reach or surpass his uncle, Senju Hashirama.

He could recover from chakra exhaustion and refill his chakra reserves completely within thirty to forty minutes of passive chakra regeneration.

He couldn't say for sure.

He decided to ask him once he finished this battle against the chakra beasts and returned to Konoha.
