Hiashi concluded his words, confident the elders would take them seriously.
As for his true intentions...
Building a reliable connection between the Hyūga clan and the village was genuine—it would benefit both the clan and Hinata.
At the rate Kazuki was progressing, Hiashi believed that one day, Kazuki might beco the person who could protect Hinata.
Hiashi was absolutely unwilling to see his daughter branded with the Caged Bird Seal, bound and controlled. His brother Hizashi’s sacrifice had left a deep scar, casting a shadow over Hiashi’s decisions.
Kazuki, however, had no idea about Hiashi’s hidden motives.
At that mont, he was preoccupied with how to deal with Tsunade’s temperantal outburst.
In Kazuki’s ho within the Uchiha compound, the sun was already high in the sky.
The Fifth Hokage, who had been sleeping soundly, finally began to stir.
"Ha..."
Groggily opening her eyes, Tsunade’s initial confusion quickly turned to pain.
The aftereffects of her hangover were brutal. Despite her strong ninja constitution, the pounding headache and overwhelming nausea were hard to bear.
Rubbing her forehead, she mumbled, "Shizune, get a glass of water."
As she pulled the blanket closer with her legs, Tsunade’s eyes suddenly widened. She reached behind and touched her backside.
"Hiss~~~"
A stinging pain flared up, as though soone had smacked her repeatedly.
That’s when Tsunade fully woke up.
Sitting upright, she realized she wasn’t in the Hokage office’s rest area. In fact, her clothes...
Looking down at her rumpled, hiked-up clothes, her head filled with questions.
What happened?
Why are my clothes like this? And why does my butt hurt so much?
Though Tsunade was known for her casual and carefree personality in private, she was certain she didn’t have a habit of pulling up her clothes while sleeping—if anything, she would have just taken them off entirely.
Which ant... soone else was responsible for her disheveled state.
Coupled with the pain in her backside, her expression darkened as she stord to the bathroom.
Pulling up her clothes to inspect, she found a series of handprints marking her skin.
Even though she had been blackout drunk, Tsunade could roughly piece together what had happened.
"Kazuki!!!!"
Looking at her pale and disheveled reflection in the mirror, Tsunade clenched her teeth and fists.
He spanked ? And took advantage of ?!
After a quick wash-up, Tsunade left Kazuki’s house with a scowl on her face.
"What happened last night?" Tsunade asked, her face devoid of expression.
She trusted the ANBU had observed the situation and likely knew more than they let on.
At the very least, they would have seen what happened after leaving the barbecue restaurant and heading to Kazuki’s house.
As for what transpired inside the house... the ANBU probably refrained from snooping too much, fearing they might see or hear things they shouldn’t.
An ANBU ninja appeared at Tsunade’s side, bowed, and reported, "You and the advisor drank heavily at the barbecue restaurant. Both of you beca extrely intoxicated. It was the advisor who carried you back to his ho to rest."
"And then?"
Tsunade imdiately picked up on the nervousness in the ninja’s tone.
Damn it, drinking really is a disaster. I have to cut back next ti.
"Well... you were restless, and the advisor, to calm you down, uh, smacked your... um... backside..."
"..."
Tsunade froze for several seconds.
This all happened in public?!
No, wait... it was late at night, so there weren’t many people around. Still, the ANBU saw everything.
My god, my reputation is ruined.
A rare blush spread across Tsunade’s pale face as she clenched her teeth again.
"Kazuki, you’re dead at."
"Notify Kazuki. Whatever he’s doing, tell him to report to the Hokage office imdiately."
"Yes, ma’am."
The ANBU left to deliver the ssage, while Tsunade stord off to the Hokage office.
"Lady Tsunade, did you not sleep well?"
Noticing her sour expression, Shizune assud Tsunade hadn’t rested properly.
"Don’t even start. My face is practically gone! Ugh, why did I drink so much? And you, Shizune, why didn’t you stop ? Now look what’s happened!"
Slumping into her chair, Tsunade grabbed at her hair in frustration.
"I got carried ho by that brat Kazuki, and on top of that, he spanked ! To make it worse, the ANBU saw everything!"
"..."
Shizune was stunned, her eyes nearly popping out of her head. Did all that really happen after I left?! Kazuki’s guts are as big as ever.
As for the fact that they had slept in the sa house and Kazuki had taken advantage of her, Tsunade left that part out—she was too embarrassed to ntion it.
How could I make such a that kind of mistake at my age?!
Even thinking about it made her mortified. And really, who took advantage of whom here?
"Don’t just stand there. Make so tea and prepare so food—I’m starving," Tsunade ordered, showing no interest in tackling the mountain of paperwork on her desk.
anwhile, Kazuki, having just finished his al, received the ANBU’s ssage.
I knew I couldn’t avoid this. Might as well face it head-on.
He realized that Tsunade’s personality made it better to confront her directly. If he dared to avoid her, the next ti they t, he’d face her wrath tenfold.
Wiping his mouth and leaving money behind, Kazuki casually headed toward the Hokage office.
He already had a strategy in mind and believed there was a good chance Tsunade wouldn’t blow up at him. After all, they both cared about appearances. So things were better left unsaid to avoid unnecessary awkwardness.
As Kazuki arrived at the Hokage office, he ran into Shizune carrying food.
"Kazuki!" she called, hurrying over with a gossipy grin. "How much did you drink with the Hokage last night? You even spanked her!"
"Huh?"
Feigning confusion, Kazuki pointed at himself in disbelief. "No way. I did sothing like that? I don’t rember a thing."
Tsunade had a blackout, so Kazuki can have one too. If she forgets, I’ll forget right along with her.
"Eh?!"
Shizune stared, hoping to catch him off guard, but his response left her speechless.
I guess it makes sense. If Tsunade blacked out, why wouldn’t Kazuki? You can’t exactly bla him.
Watching Kazuki stride into the Hokage office, Shizune quickly followed.
In the office, Tsunade was still slouched in her chair, showing no inclination to work.
The door clicked open, and Kazuki stepped inside.
In an instant, Tsunade leaped from her seat, her anger igniting like a fla.
"Kazuki! How dare you show your face here?! Spill it—what exactly did you do last night?!"
