"Why are you targeting us like this? Your words are so harsh."
After confessing the matter of the Mangekyō Sharingan to his father and having a long talk with his younger brother Sasuke, Itachi left ho as the ti grew late and headed toward Kazuki’s house.
"I have so business to attend to tonight, so I’ll head back first. Itachi will be coming to my place."
Before leaving, Kazuki gave Tsunade a heads-up to prevent her from overthinking and assuming he was skipping overti to run off early.
"Uchiha Itachi?"
Tsunade rubbed her sore shoulders and asked, "That kid ca to see you during the day, didn’t he? Was it about Sasuke and Orochimaru?"
"Partly."
Kazuki smirked strangely. "After all, you know Orochimaru’s reputation. It’s normal for him to be worried. Besides, Itachi’s concern for Sasuke borders on excessive—I’d call it ’little brother obsession.’"
Tsunade: "..."
Obsession your ass!!!
Others might have the right to say that, but Tsunade didn’t—because she herself had once been a doting older sister.
Otherwise, she wouldn’t have pulled strings for Nawaki, bypassing the usual protocols to forcibly assign him to Orochimaru as his student. She had outright skipped the Ninja Academy exams and the Hokage’s official assignnt process, shoving him straight into Orochimaru’s team with the unspoken ultimatum: Just take him, no questions asked.
"Aside from Sasuke’s matter, he also ca to confess so personal issues. That’s about it."
There was no need to publicize Itachi’s awakening of the Mangekyō Sharingan, but there was also no reason to hide it from Tsunade.
"Congratulations. The Uchiha clan will add another strong shinobi to the village."
"Tch, spare . Since when does the Uchiha clan lack strong shinobi?"
Tsunade wasn’t impressed.
After all, the Uchiha already had plenty of elite jōnin—fighters capable of taking on two or three regular jōnin at once. Their numbers alone made up a tenth of the village’s total jōnin force.
One could only imagine how formidable such power was.
Are you stupid, or just overworked?
Are we even talking about the sa level of ’strong shinobi’ here?
If it were just another Uchiha jōnin, Kazuki wouldn’t have bothered ntioning it to Tsunade.
Who cares? It’s not like it’d make a difference.
But Itachi awakening the Mangekyō was a different story.
Once he mastered the power of these eyes, his strength would leapfrog past elite jōnin level—reaching the threshold of a Kage.
"Don’t tell that kid, Uchiha Itachi, has..."
Tsunade wasn’t a fool. Just because she hadn’t imdiately connected the dots didn’t an she was clueless.
The mont Kazuki looked at her like she was an idiot, she realized:
This wasn’t just any strong shinobi the Uchiha were adding—but a pillar of strength.
"Congratulations, you guessed right. Sadly, no prize."
Kazuki snapped his fingers and grinned mischievously.
"You—!"
Tsunade was so angry she wanted to hit soone. So I was slow for a second—must you keep mocking ?
You could laugh at Tsunade, call her dumb—but you couldn’t keep laughing, because she would lose her temper.
Seeing Tsunade on the verge of exploding, Kazuki finally turned serious:
"That’s why I need to head back early—to pass on so experience to Itachi. I don’t want him abusing the Mangekyō’s power. These eyes grant imnse strength, but they can also make one lose themselves in it. Worse, overuse leads to blindness."
"Fine, go ahead. I’ll join you later. And make dinner."
"..."
Make dinner my ass. Go eat your office rations.
After shooting Tsunade a disdainful look, Kazuki wisely vanished before she could erupt.
Cook? Not happening. At most, he’d grab takeout on the way ho.
After a long day, he had zero interest in slaving away in the kitchen—especially since his cooking skills were diocre at best.
If he were a great cook, he might’ve shown off. But with his lackluster skills, anything he made would just get nitpicked. Why bother?
"Go pack so als from my usual place and deliver them to my ho."
After leaving the Hokage’s office, Kazuki handed money to an ANBU operative, instructing them to pick up food from his regular restaurant.
"Yes, Lord Advisor."
The ANBU took the money and imdiately set off.
"..."
From inside the office, Tsunade listened to Kazuki ordering ANBU to fetch his dinner and nearly laughed in exasperation.
Why not have them do your laundry while you’re at it?
And sweep the floors, fold your clothes, maybe even deep-clean your house!
The thought made her massage her temples.
It reminded her of the ti Kazuki had posted a mission—assigning fresh genin teams to clean his house.
The pay was absurdly high for a D-rank mission, almost C-rank level.
Naturally, every new team scrambled for such tasks.
Who wouldn’t want easy money?
Sure, cleaning sucks—but it beats trash duty, unclogging toilets, chasing cats, or digging ditches.
Tsunade half-expected Kazuki to turn the Mission Assignnt Hall into a farce.
Luckily, he didn’t need deep-cleaning every day—just twice a month. Still shaless, but manageable.
By the ti Kazuki got ho, Itachi was already waiting at his doorstep.
"Co in."
Unlocking the door, Kazuki motioned for Itachi to follow.
Itachi obeyed quietly, stepping inside.
Grabbing two bottles of water from the fridge, Kazuki tossed his coat onto the sofa and gestured for Itachi to sit.
"To put it simply, an Uchiha who awakens the Mangekyō Sharingan gains a massive boost in all aspects of combat. I won’t bother with the details—you’ve probably felt it yourself."
After taking a sip of water, Kazuki continued:
"What I will explain are the ocular techniques and the use of Susanoo. The Mangekyō Sharingan is powerful—but its strength cos at a cost. Overuse drains the user severely."
