Ren understood Akainu's style perfectly. Had it been Kizaru, he could have chatted and joked while trading blows. But this was Akainu—the man who embodied "Absolute Justice." From the mont he appeared, the ti for negotiation had ended.
"Prepare for battle!"
With a thunderous roar, Ren was the first to lunge. His fist, coated in the dark lightning of Conqueror's Haki, swung forward. An invisible shockwave scread directly toward Akainu!
"Arrogant brat!" Akainu's face was as grim as stone. Magma erupted from his body, and his right arm swelled into a massive dog-head of molten rock dozens of ters wide, clashing head-on with Ren's strike!
BOOM!
The world seed to tear in two—half a desolate grey, half a hellish volcanic red. For a heartbeat, the sea stood still before being obliterated into white mist!
The terrifying shockwave swept outward. Hina and the others braced themselves, their eyes filled with unmasked shock as they looked at the Admiral.
"An Admiral's power is actually this imnse?" "Last ti, didn't Aokiji fail to even match the Captain?" "Idiots," Grus noted, his eyes sharp. "Ren is just playing around. Otherwise, this fight would be over in an instant."
Grus could see it clearly. Ren was currently using only Haki; not a single one of his other strange, "out-of-bounds" abilities had been deployed. Yet, even so, he was stalemating an Admiral!
Krillin and Law drew their blades, watching their Captain trade blows with the Magma Man. They then turned their gazes toward the Vice Admirals who were maneuvering to provide support.
"We can't let them interrupt the Captain's duel," Law said with a cool smirk. "Let's go!"
Law's eyes turned sharp. He kicked off the deck, his figure vanishing. A second later, he appeared above a Marine warship, swinging his long nodachi downward!
Swish—!
A blue arc of energy flashed. The warship was sliced clean down the middle, and the Marines on board suffered heavy casualties as the vessel groaned and buckled!
"Hmph." Law's lips curled up. Just as he prepared a second strike to finish the ship, a glint of steel streaked toward him from the distance!
"Room."
The domain expanded. Law's body was suddenly replaced by a piece of driftwood, which was instantly pulverized by the incoming slash. Law reappeared on one of the severed halves of the ship, locking eyes with his attacker.
"You dodged it?" Vice Admiral Momonga remarked, stroking his signature mustache.
The next instant, both n vanished. When they reappeared, they were mid-air, their blades clashing!
CLANG—!
Two blades coated in Armant Haki sparked violently. As they poured strength into the struggle, the screeching of tal on tal filled the air.
Swish!
Law exerted a burst of force, shoving Momonga back. Seizing the montum of the Admiral's retreat, Law opened his palm. A blue sphere of light instantly engulfed them both.
"Scalpel!"
Flash!
Several slashes flickered. Momonga felt no imdiate threat, but his body suddenly fell apart—limbs and torso separated into various floating segnts!
However, despite being partitioned, Momonga felt no pain. He even tried to command his severed arm to swing back at Law.
"Shambles."
Law's body swapped places with Momonga's right hand. Momonga's own arm swung wildly into the space Law had just occupied, slamming into the warship below and cleaving it further. The miserable Marines were forced to abandon ship, swimming toward the neighboring vessels.
Momonga was montarily dazed. Why was his arm over there? He looked closer and realized his entire body had been "unpacked."
"How is this possible?! What kind of ability is this? I felt no danger at all!" Momonga shouted in disbelief.
"No danger? That's because there was no danger," Law chuckled. "Allow to re-introduce myself. I am Trafalgar Law, a surgeon. And currently, I'm the doctor on Ren's ship."
The next mont, Law's blade flashed. He sliced Momonga's head clean through the center. A veteran Vice Admiral of the old guard fell right then and there.
Thud.
Landing on a floating piece of wood, Law mused, "I guess if I just slice the head, they really do die. My previous research into this fruit was far too narrow."
Before he could finish his reflection, several cries of rage echoed. Three more Vice Admirals were using Moonwalk to charge at him across the sky.
"Momonga!" "You pirate scum! How dare you murder Vice Admiral Momonga!" "Die! I will tear you apart!"
Facing the incoming onslaught, Law's expression didn't flicker. He remained cold and composed. "A 'just' gang-up, is it? Perfect. Let see what I'm truly capable of now. Room!"
While Law engaged the three Vice Admirals, Krillin had also lunged forward, landing on the prow of a separate warship. The leader of this vessel was a rugged middle-aged man with a scarred face. Seeing Krillin, he sneered.
"Krillin the 'Nation-Ender.' To think you'd seek out!"
Facing that title, Krillin simply gave a wide, calm smile. Then, a tide of pressure erupted from his body. Everywhere it passed, Marines collapsed, their eyes rolling back into their heads.
"Conqueror's Haki!" The Marine's face grew serious. Soone with the qualities of a king could not be taken lightly. His muscles bulged, and in a flash, the man transford into a massive, black Yak!
The mont Krillin saw the transformation, his calm facade shattered. His teeth clenched as he glared at the beast. "So... it's you."
"Moo—!!" The Yak let out a low, mocking bellow. "Nation-Ender? What a joke! You're nothing but a pathetic stray dog! I'll send you to reunite with those peasants right now! Yak Charge!"
Rumble!
The Yak thundered forward. The warship beneath its hooves capsized instantly from the force, flipping 180 degrees into the sea. The massive Yak leaped into the air, looming over Krillin.
"Die, brat! Ox-Demon Fire-Train!"
The air shrieked as a wave of killing intent enveloped Krillin, threatening to tear him to pieces! Krillin stood perfectly still, looking as if he were in a dazed stupor. But a closer look revealed his lips moving, whispering a soft mantra.
"It really was you. The one who razed my country, slaughtered my people, and then had the gall to call the 'Nation-Ender.'"
His voice was eerie in its calmness, as if he were telling soone else's story. But the next second, he exploded into motion. The rapier at his waist was drawn, unleashing a blur of a thousand strikes!
"Thousand Blade Slash!"
A dense web of blade-light swallowed the Yak. When the light faded, the beast stood frozen in mid-air, suspended by the sheer speed of the attack. Two seconds later, as Krillin sheathed his blade with a soft click, sprays of blood erupted from every inch of the Yak's hide!
Squelch!
Blood rained down like a storm, staining the sea crimson. Krillin landed on a piece of debris, a small smile playing on his lips as he admired the scene.
"In the end... you were nothing special."
The massive Yak crashed into the ocean, dead before it hit the water.
