At the sa ti, the battle outside was still ongoing, with the Chamber of Comrce duo having wreaked havoc in the Dead Forest. Under the frenzied assault of the sand blade, the Poison Man and Half Ghost were in a very bad situation, bearing injuries on their bodies.

But neither of them awaited death passively. The Poison Man used his ability to invade the Water Domain of the Chamber of Comrce man and identified his hiding place. Now, the Chamber of Comrce man was facing the trampling attack of the Half Ghost, having depleted three Water Substitutes to deal with this guy.

Moreover, as ti passed, the situation for the Chamber of Comrce duo beca increasingly difficult, with signs of spiritual power exhaustion beginning to appear for both.

It’s now a fight to the last breath, neither dares to relax. It’s a matter of whether they can eliminate the Poison Man and Half Ghost combination first or if they run out of spiritual power and get counterattacked and harvested by the other.

The battle between the Mirror Ghost and Stone Beast was also not over. The situation had worsened further, with the human and ghost moving from pure lee to ground combat.

The human and ghost struggled intertwined on the ground, with the Stone Beast leveraging its physical advantage to hug the Mirror Ghost from behind, attempting to snap his neck brute forcefully, while the Mirror Ghost protected his neck with one hand, freeing up another arm for a fierce elbow strike to the Stone Beast’s heart.

Currently, both the Stone Beast and Mirror Ghost were in bad states. The Stone Beast was beaten with a bloody face, and his right wrist had been dislocated, while the Mirror Ghost had one of his left legs broken, forcibly snapped by the Stone Beast’s brute strength.

The human and ghost were battling madly in the muddy ground without any pattern. Both possessed high-level Protective Magical Artifacts and had slightly inferior attack power. They had been wrestling for so long that neither could inflict a fatal wound on the other.

In terms of strength, the Stone Beast held absolute superiority, but in agility and intelligence, the Boundary Ghost, derived from Yang Xiao, was so much stronger.

From the start, the Mirror Ghost fiercely assaulted the lower third of the Stone Beast, but surprisingly, this guy’s defense was so abnormal, even below was as solid as a rock.

The Stone Beast was now deep in a killing spree, his level of ferocity greatly increased. He felt extrely suffocated; had it been a normal opponent, he would have caught and torn them apart long ago.

But this guy was different, this guy was as slippery as a loach, couldn’t be caught, couldn’t be hit to death, and was full of sneaky tricks.

The enraged Stone Beast roared, his helted head tilting back before violently headbutting the Mirror Ghost, their heads crashing together trendously.

The next instant, the Stone Beast suddenly opened his mouth wide, tearing at the edges, revealing a mouth full of yellow, shark-like barbed teeth.

If Yang Xiao was there, he would have imdiately determined that these teeth were also a Magic Artifact, given how inhuman they appeared. These barbs crossed each other, numbering in the dozens, each nearly the length of a finger segnt. Logically, a human mouth couldn’t hold these; they seed to suddenly grow at the mont of opening.

The Stone Beast aid this bite at the Mirror Ghost’s neck. If it landed, half the neck would be bitten off. The Mirror Ghost blocked with his hand, the bite landed on his right forearm, directly shredding clothes and tearing off a chunk of flesh and bone.

That wasn’t all. One unsuccessful hit, the Stone Beast went berserk again, biting again at the Mirror Ghost’s neck. But this ti, a Black Stone appeared in the nearly severed right hand of the Mirror Ghost.

At the critical mont, the Mirror Ghost swiftly stuffed the stone, along with his right hand, into the gaping mouth of the Stone Beast.

The Stone Beast, with intelligence reduced to the freezing point, sensed no deceit, didn’t dodge, and just bit down, imdiately severing the Mirror Ghost’s right hand.

Simultaneously, amid violent spiritual power fluctuations, several black lights of varying specifications suddenly shot from the Stone Beast’s stone-shelled cheeks. A few other black lights aid in other directions, but were blocked by the helt and armor, preventing them from piercing the Stone Beast’s body.

The power of the Black Stone activated, exploding inside the Stone Beast’s mouth, rendering his armor useless. The terrifying black light instantly pierced the Stone Beast’s head, vaporizing his scarce brain tissue and directly killing the creature.

The Stone Beast was dead, his glaring scarlet bloodshot eyes gradually turning lifeless. The Mirror Ghost attempted to pull his hand from the mouth, sadly finding it severed, leaving only the stump of a palm. He finally broke free from the Stone Beast’s body, using his left hand to dig out the Black Stone from the monster’s mouth.

The Mirror Ghost looked at his severed palm, then at the row of sharp teeth in the Stone Beast’s mouth, showing a thoughtful expression.

anwhile, the other side of the battlefield was unusually quiet. Nalan Shuo stood there, his gaze fixed ahead at a ragged tent behind which sat a person—the captain of the Japanese Apostle team, code-nad Curse Blade, the target of Nalan Shuo’s mission.

Curse Blade had lost an arm, was bloodied all over, his face covered by a black mask, only exposing a pair of thin, narrow eyes. His head slightly lifted, similarly gazing in Nalan Shuo’s direction, the two exchanged a distant stare.

In Curse Blade’s embrace was an oddly-shaped Divine Statue, blind-eyed, entirely blood-red, hands together in a praying gesture, extrely strange.

The statue’s material was odd too; its surface sowhat rough but uneven, with a frosted texture, seemingly cast from blood-infused soil.

At first glance, Nalan Shuo recognized the statue’s origin: the Blood Guanyin Statue, used to suppress vengeful spirits, very sinister.
