"Ah!! Ahhhh!!" It’s the voice of Sato Shouta.
This startled Hasegawa Hideji, who had already built up strength for a second kick, but suddenly had to stop, nearly twisting his back in the process.
Yang Xiao quickly stepped forward, pushing aside the crouching Hasegawa Hideji, and shouted into the room, "Mr. Sato, are you inside?"
"Yang...Mr. Yang!" Sato Shouta’s voice was clearly joyful, "Mr. Yang, you’re here too? Don’t let him kick the door, I’m not coming out!"
"You’ve misunderstood, he ans no harm, we all ca to ensure you’re safe," Yang Xiao tested, speaking through the door to the person inside.
At the sa ti, Yang Xiao gestured to the people behind him, signaling everyone to spread out to avoid crowding in case of any unexpected situations.
Under the coercion from Yang Xiao and the others, Hasegawa Hideji had no choice but to promise through the door that he absolutely ant no harm; kicking the door was an accident.
"I don’t believe you, unless you swear that if you hit when the door opens, you’re a dog!" Sato Shouta was genuinely afraid of this Hasegawa Hideji guy, thinking not long ago he really might kill him.
Hasegawa Hideji’s face darkened, but he still gritted his teeth and swore, "I, Hasegawa Hideji, swear, if I harm Mr. Sato this ti, I’m a dog."
"Take out the words ’this ti’, and say it again!" Sato Shouta’s clever voice ca from inside.
Hasegawa Hideji couldn’t take it anymore, he raised his leg to break the door, but was stopped by the others, while Yang Xiao calmly persuaded, "Mr. Hasegawa, be careful of provocations; that thing might be waiting for you to go inside!"
Putting his pride and life on the scale, Hasegawa Hideji could differentiate what was more important, so he patiently swore again as Sato Shouta demanded.
This ti there was finally a reaction inside; after the rustling sound of footsteps, the door opened, and Sato Shouta looked at so many people outside, feeling a bit bewildered for a mont.
Sato Shouta tried to take a step forward and found everyone taking a step back almost simultaneously, their eyes filled with caution looking at him.
"What... what’s wrong with you all?" Sato Shouta asked cautiously, "By the way, soone scread downstairs earlier. What happened?"
"You heard it?" Instead of answering, Yang Xiao asked, "Why didn’t you co out to check?"
"I... I was a bit scared." Sato Shouta replied in a low voice, glancing at Hasegawa Hideji beside him.
"Before the screams, did you hear any strange noises?" Jiu Shan Sha Yue asked.
"What counts as strange noises?"
"Thumping sounds, like... soone hopping on one leg, and crashing sounds, like hitting a wardrobe," Jiu Shan Sha Yue explained, while keeping a close eye on his pupils, analyzing his micro-expressions.
But Sato Shouta’s face showed no flaw, still looking as awkward as before and sowhat frightened, "No... no I didn’t."
Sakurai Miyuki, who had co together with them, felt anxious, "How could there be none, the sounds ca from this floor, I heard it clearly!"
"Really nothing, I... I’ve been inside the room the whole ti, didn’t hear anything, if you don’t believe it... you can co in and see!" Sato Shouta anxiously defended, while stepping aside, the inside looked normal, the ceiling lights on, soft light flooding the room.
Sakurai Miyuki was about to step inside to check; after all, everyone was here, there was nothing to fear, but at the last mont, Yang Xiao pulled her back to his side.
"Mr. Sato, it’s inconvenient to stand at the door and talk, why don’t... you co out first, and we’ll chat in detail." Yang Xiao said with a smile.
"Co out? Oh, alright." The next mont, Sato Shouta stepped out the door, just like that walking out fluidly as everything seed normal.
