[Overall Rating: A]
[Extraction Value: 4,813,700 Zero Coins]
When Charon saw that extraction value, he completely froze.
It wasn't like he had never earned this much before, but those runs had always involved full gear and aggressive raids – and that didn't even include equipnt loss calculations.
This ti?
He had entered with basically nothing.
A knife-run.
Although Zone One had shocked him countless tis – especially with how different its map style was compared to Zone Zero – the final conclusion remained the sa:
Every abnormality could still be solved.
No matter how horrifying a monster looked, the mont it displayed a health bar, it stopped being a real problem.
And also–
Next ti I enter Zone One, I'm bringing full gear. That place is fucking terrifying.
Still, this had been an important lesson.
After all, it was his first ti encountering a second map. Naturally, he had subconsciously assud it would function similarly to the first one.
Not anymore.
From now on, every new map ant fully geared entry.
At minimum, he needed enough power to carry.
As light surrounded them, two figures appeared before the blast door. The familiar cold air brushed against Charon's nose, finally allowing his tense nerves to relax slightly.
God, I missed this place.
Even though less than half a day had passed, it honestly felt like years.
Standing beside him, Ana curiously looked around.
"So this is where Mr. Charon lives?"
The hideout had an industrial shelter aesthetic and covered only a few hundred square ters, but it was extrely clean. There wasn't a single piece of trash anywhere.
Even if Charon accidentally spilled coffee, the hideout automatically cleaned itself without leaving a trace.
Although it didn't look luxurious, Ana imdiately noticed sothing important:
There was absolutely no dust anywhere.
Not even on the floor.
That alone made her feel unbelievably comfortable.
"Yeah," Charon replied. "I can guarantee there are no monsters here. It's completely safe."
"Mr. Charon… can I look around a little?"
Ana's gaze shifted toward Charon's living area. It was simple and modest, but it carried a unique feeling of actual life.
"Sure."
Charon smiled while watching her walk away. Honestly, there wasn't much worth seeing in that shabby room besides basic daily necessities.
Just as Charon expected, Ana had successfully returned to the hideout together with him.
Exactly like Nayuta back then.
Oh right — Nayuta was the Nikke girl who had accidentally wandered into Zone Zero previously.
But Zone Zero was extrely familiar territory for Charon. Back then, he had basically guided Nayuta all the way out and brought her safely to the hideout.
The only strange thing was that after triggering disguise mode together with him, Nayuta had disappeared. Even after returning this ti, she still hadn't co back.
It had bothered him before.
But now, after eting Ana, he finally understood.
Nayuta had probably already returned to where she originally belonged.
After all, girls like them had entered this world by accident. Once Charon brought them out of the map, leaving again through a proper route likely returned them to their own world.
Which ant–
The only true "player" in Zone Zero was probably Charon himself.
Hehehe… ti to check my rewards.
Aside from the 4.8 million worth of loot, he still had the additional 500,000 waiting in his mail.
A knife-run with a net profit exceeding five million.
Absolutely insane.
And if he included the True Mirror Fragnt Ana gave him, along with the crystal shoes she wore, the total value would beco even more absurd.
The hideout was absolutely safe, so Charon let Ana wander freely while he stored the True Mirror Fragnt and the golden pocket watch inside the collection room.
Items like these could never be sold.
Afterward, he walked over to the vending machine and sold every other item he had scavenged from Zone One.
Everything except the damaged courier uniform.
After returning to Zone Zero, all filth covering the outfit had vanished completely, restoring it to the sa clean appearance it had when he first found it.
The uniform had demonstrated surprisingly special effects within Zone One, so Charon decided to store it away for future expeditions there.
...
Zero Coin Balance:
103,453 → 1,205,322
...
Excluding unsellable items, his current earnings were enough to fund two and a half fake full-loadouts, or one and a half genuine full-loadouts.
But that was already more than enough.
Zone One… just you wait.
Charon was already cracking his knuckles, fully prepared to properly deal with that cursed place next ti.
Then suddenly–
A loud rumbling noise echoed from the living area.
Charon froze.
His body moved faster than his brain as he rushed toward the source at full speed.
On his clean military cot, Ana had already collapsed half-asleep, looking ready to pass out at any second.
But beside the bed–
A door had appeared.
A literal door.
It had suddenly materialized on the previously empty wall.
The earlier noise had apparently co from its appearance.
"What the hell?"
Charon stared blankly.
He had lived here for so long, yet he had never once seen the living quarters expand.
Actually–not just the living area.
No area of the hideout had ever expanded before.
Did that make sense?
No.
Absolutely not.
Still, Charon didn't suspect any malicious intent. If this place wanted to kill him, he would've died long ago.
After glancing at Ana–who had sohow slept through the noise entirely–he directly pushed the door open.
Beyond it was a corridor brightly lit by fluorescent lights. There was no gloomy atmosphere at all.
On both sides of the hallway stood two doors.
The left door was wooden, and even emitted a faint pleasant fragrance. A sign above it read:
[Library]
The right side featured a glass door that could simply be pushed open. Even without entering, Charon could already see several arcade machines near the entrance.
The sign above it read:
[Entertainnt Room]
"…What?"
Charon fell into deep thought.
Could these rooms have appeared because of Ana?
He didn't recklessly enter either room and instead stepped back outside.
Exactly how many surprises was Zone Zero still hiding from him?
