"What do you want!" Irene Morton was sowhat impatient, shaking her arm, but couldn’t shake off Sophie Smith’s hand.
"Don’t go in. If you need money, I’ll give it to you."
Irene’s eyes were a bit stunned. By all logic, she hated her so much; seeing her end up in this situation, shouldn’t she be clapping and rejoicing? What now, pretending to be nice, for what reason?
"Are you afraid I’ll go find Brother Asher, so you’re offering money?" Irene chuckled, "Go away. As long as I close the deal tonight and get the money, I won’t bother him for a month."
Irene deliberately said such irrelevant words, even if she didn’t make the so-called deal and didn’t get a penny. Even if she had to beg on the streets, she would never go to Asher Land.
"What kind of deal?" Sophie felt an ominous foreboding. She raised her eyes to look at the n stopping Irene; they all seed malicious.
"I just need to drink with them, that’s all. If I drink them down, they’ll give a large sum of money," Irene said matter-of-factly.
A woman competing with n in drinking? Isn’t that a bit too much?
"Miss Morton, seems like you haven’t finished your words." One of the n laughed, "If you don’t drink us down, you won’t get the money and will have to entertain the brothers tonight."
"You!" Irene’s body instantly stiffened, "When did I say that?"
"Everyone in the private room heard it." Shalessly, the man stretched out his piggy hand and pinched Irene’s chest, "Don’t say the ga is unfair. I drink one cup, you drink half, so you should accept the loss, right?"
"Get lost!" Irene pushed away the man in front of her and dodged to the side, "I didn’t say that if I don’t drink you guys down, I’d entertain you tonight..."
"Haha..." A burst of laughter echoed around, "Miss Morton, you can’t be like that. If you win, you take the money; if you lose, you act like nothing happened. Moreover, when you said it, all the brothers in the private room heard."
They heard everything?
Weren’t they all part of a gang in the private room? They conspired to say whatever they wanted.
Irene felt like she had fallen into a massive trap, hiding in the corner, trying to avoid the n’s dirty hands.
"Co on, let’s settle this in the private room?"
"I’m not playing anymore. I don’t want you to buy the drink either; isn’t that enough?" Irene indeed felt unsure now, competing in drinking with those n wouldn’t be easy. If she didn’t win, would she really let herself be humiliated in front of those n?
"Ha, a wine seller with quite the tone. When do you get to call the shots? Play if you want, leave if you don’t? No chance!" The man snorted, reaching out to grab Irene hiding in the corner, strongly pulling her towards the private room.
"Let go! It’s a fair trade, don’t force , I’m quitting!" Irene struggled fiercely, punching and kicking the man, looking completely unkempt.
Her gaze carried a hint of seeking help, looking towards Sophie Smith.
"Help ! Sister Sophie!" Irene’s voice was sowhat choked, her expression pained and desperate.
She had already mistreated her body once; she really didn’t want to go through such a thing again.
