Irene Morton’s expression in the bathroom was strange, her body seed to yearn uncontrollably for sothing.

Irene hugged her knees, burying her head, crying intensely. Seeing this, Sophie hurried forward.

Sophie knew Irene must have gone through a nightmare, her heart began to uncontrollably ache for her. Perhaps before, she wished Irene would vanish from her sight, but now, seeing her helpless appearance, those thoughts vanished instantly.
Asher Land restrained his anger, bent down again, lifted Irene from the sofa, and headed downstairs, Sophie following closely.
Sophie opened the car door for them, "Let drive, you... stay with Irene."

After hesitating for a mont, she still drew her gaze back to the road ahead, her lips involuntarily curling into a faint smile.
By the ti they returned to the Land Family estate, it was already past two in the morning.
Asher Land carried Irene out of the car and took her to the guest room. He placed her on the bed, and as he was about to turn to leave, Irene grabbed his wrist.
"Brother Asher..." She lifted her gaze, her eyes red and swollen as she looked at him.
Asher Land said nothing, only stood there stiffly, then looked down at her.
Irene knew her current appearance must have disappointed him. Did he already completely loathe her?
