"Oh!" Eva Miller slapped her forehead and imdiately rembered, it seed like there was such a thing, look at her mory.
"Now you can rest assured, he and Irene Morton indeed can’t have children." Sophie Smith didn’t know if she was comforting Eva Miller or herself; why did these words sound so helpless?
"They haven’t had children, but what if they slept together?"
"Cut! Don’t wrong my little brother!" Luke Land was sohow already standing at the door, and he had heard everything they said.
"Goodness, Luke Land, are you eavesdropping on us?" Eva Miller imdiately pointed the spearhead at Luke Land, shouting and screaming.
"What do you an eavesdropping, I’m listening openly and honestly, okay?"
Indeed, he knocked on the door before coming in, but the two won were chatting so seriously that they didn’t treat his knocking as anything.
"I say, Sophie, don’t listen to Little Chili’s nonsense; I know what kind of person my little brother is, and he would never do anything to let you down again."
"That’s not necessarily true!" Eva Miller imdiately retorted.
"Little Chili, would you say a few words less?" Luke Land said sowhat helplessly.
Actually, Eva Miller didn’t intentionally want to say such things; she just sincerely hoped that Sophie Smith would pay attention to Irene Morton’s matters and not be so casual.
"Alright, alright, you two stop arguing." Sophie Smith said as she walked to the door, "The matters between Asher Land and are none of your concern. If you have ti, worry about yourselves."
Finishing these words with ulterior motives, Sophie Smith walked down the stairs. Between Eva Miller and Luke Land, she looked from a bystander’s perspective; indeed, there were still many issues.
Sophie Smith spent the whole day with Alexander at Luke Land’s house; actually, leaving Alexander here was sothing she was very unwilling to do. Who wouldn’t want to be with their child every day?
"Mommy, I want to go back with you too,..." Alexander tugged at Sophie Smith’s sleeve, whispering, his big watery eyes staring at her.
"But, your Aunt Irene’s illness hasn’t completely recovered, aren’t you afraid?" Sotis, when Irene Morton’s addiction flares up, it can be quite terrifying, not to ntion last ti she attempted suicide by cutting her wrist. Fortunately, Alexander wasn’t there; if he had seen it, what a fright it would be for a child so young.
"I’m not afraid, as long as I’m with Mommy and Daddy, I’m not afraid."
"Alexander, so good..." Sophie Smith kissed Alexander’s little cheek, her eyes full of love, "It’s alright, Mommy wants to be with you too, Mommy will take you back, rest assured, Mommy will certainly take good care of you, won’t let you be scared, won’t let you get hurt,..."
Sophie Smith murmured to herself, as if reassuring Alexander, and also like persuading herself. She was finding a reason to take Alexander ho.
"Then... Sophie, you really should be careful." Eva Miller saw Sophie Smith off, but still felt uneasy.
"Alexander, is Eva Aunt not treating you well? Wouldn’t you really stay here a bit longer?" Eva Miller made a final attempt to keep Alexander.
"No, Eva Aunt, you’re very good to , really. I’m very happy being with you, but I can’t be away from Mommy, sorry..." Alexander pouted and said.
"Alright, Eva Aunt doesn’t bla you, co and play again next ti." Eva Miller didn’t insist further.
"Then, we’re leaving, Eva, big brother, goodbye." Sophie Smith said to Luke Land and Eva Miller who were standing at the door sending them off, then turned, carrying Alexander, into the snowy night.
