Sophie Smith woke up very late.
Before, she could sleep late when she was with Asher Land, but now she was at the Davis Family, and Eva Miller ca yesterday. It really seed a bit unreasonable to still be in bed this late.
She was about to get up when she found soone lying beside her.
"Why... why didn’t you get up?"
"Can I go downstairs?" Asher Land glanced at her with so annoyance, "My naked body is only for your eyes."
"..."
Sophie hurriedly got dressed. She had sent his clothes to the laundry room yesterday, so she needed to retrieve them imdiately.
Otherwise, he’d be stuck in this room all day.
Sophie ran downstairs, and as she passed the hall, she bumped into Nolan Davis and Eva Miller having a lively conversation.
"Morning..." Sophie greeted them awkwardly.
"Sophie, do you call this morning?" Eva Miller frowned, glancing at her watch, "You really woke up late, didn’t you? Where’s President Land? Did he not get up either?"
"Wait a mont, I’ll be right with you," Sophie smiled apologetically and dashed to the laundry room. She collected Asher Land’s clothes and headed upstairs amidst Eva Miller’s amazent and Nolan Davis’s helpless gaze.
She tossed the clothes onto the bed.
"Get dressed quickly and go downstairs. It’s all your fault that I got up so late!"
"Bla ?" he chuckled, "Don’t make excuses if you can’t get up yourself. I only did it three tis with you last night,"
"..."
Three tis? Only?
Is three tis considered few?
Watching him leisurely get dressed, Sophie had the urge to fling a pillow at his handso face.
Despite her frustrations, she didn’t act on them.
She walked up to him, raising her hand to button his shirt and tie his necktie.
It had indeed been a long ti since she had served him this way.
"Well, who usually does these things for you?" She straightened his suit, asking casually.
"The maid."
"Oh..."
Seeing her lowered head, he couldn’t tell what was on her mind.
"Who else did you expect? Irene Morton?"
His light words still struck her heart.
She had expected Irene Morton would do these things for him.
She didn’t reply further, and after they changed clothes, they went downstairs.
Although it wasn’t very early, Nolan Davis still instructed the maid to prepare a delicate breakfast.
Sophie and Asher Land sat at the dining table, with Eva Miller curiously observing them.
"Did you sleep well last night?" Eva Miller asked, resting her chopsticks against her chin inquisitively.
In the early morning, their faces didn’t look quite pleasant.
"Yes."
"No."
Sophie said yes, while Asher Land said no. So was it good or not...?
"Sophie was very clingy last night and kept pestering , so I didn’t sleep well." Asher Land said with a helpless tone, yet his mood inexplicably improved.
"Sophie, I didn’t realize you had quite the need for that," Eva Miller exclaid in surprise.
"Isn’t it? I haven’t been around her lately, and she can’t find anyone else to satisfy her needs."
Eva Miller and Asher Land chid in together, leaving Sophie blushing, almost infuriated to the point of passing out.
"Asher Land, stop talking nonsense. Who was pestering whom?"
It was clearly him who was clingy last night, wasn’t it?
