"Can’t you see what I’m doing?" Irene’s spoiled temper flared up, and she feared nothing. "I just slapped her once, and you’re already feeling sorry for her?"
"Stop this nonsense!" Asher pulled Sophie into his embrace, looking at the red handprint on her face, unable to help frowning.
Luke felt uneasy seeing Sophie get hit. After all, he had been the one to bring her over, and he had promised Nolan that no one would harm her in the slightest, but now...
"Hey, what do you an by hitting soone? How did Sophie offend you? And which eye of yours saw us bullying you together!" Eva couldn’t stand it and went up to Irene, arguing with her.
Luke’s head was about to explode. These were two Little Chilis; if they really started fighting, how explosive would the scene be?
"What does it matter to you if I hit soone? Who told her to be so shaless as to seduce soone else’s fiancé?"

There was only Irene’s muttering in the room; no other sound could be heard. Her heart-wrenching sobs made the atmosphere in the room instantly oppressive.
Asher only felt a severe headache, as if sothing was gnawing and devouring him.
He tried hard to regain so composure.
"Haven’t you said enough? Haven’t you cried enough?" His voice was exceptionally cold. "If you’ve had enough, then please leave; don’t disturb my rest any longer."
Despair surged in Irene’s heart; hoping for his sympathy or love was truly too difficult.
Those things he would give to only one person.
She didn’t want to be a weakling in front of them, didn’t want to shed tears in front of them. They would only watch her like a joke, so why should she humiliate herself?
She wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes with the back of her hand, turned around, and left resolutely.
Rest assured, if she can’t be happy, no one else should think of being happy either!
"Ahem..." Luke deliberately coughed twice, trying to ease the awkwardness.

Asher glared at him fiercely, and he wisely shut his mouth.
It seed like whatever he said was wrong. He couldn’t figure it out.
Actually, just not ntioning Irene and Nolan in front of Asher and Sophie would be enough, but Luke kept bringing them up one after another.
