"Almost there." Sophie Smith couldn’t help but smile when she heard "Eastern City."
"Asher Land keeps his word, don’t worry." Sophie patted Eva Miller’s shoulder. "We’ll go see Mr. Johnson together then."
"Mm!" Eva couldn’t hide her excitent either.
"What’s making you so happy?" Nolan Davis saw two won with smiles as bright as flowers as soon as he entered the hall, and couldn’t help but feel puzzled.
"Mr. Davis, you’re back." Sophie stood up, willingly taking his coat and briefcase from him.
This only deepened the confusion in Nolan’s heart.
"What’s going on?" Sophie’s actions gave him a montary feeling of being flattered. He’s so easily satisfied; just a little sweetness from her can make him feel a bit smug.
"Nothing really." Sophie didn’t know why Nolan would ask; she was just chatting with Eva, and when he returned, she helped him put his things away. Why, was her behavior really strange now?
In Nolan’s eyes, of course, it was strange.
Her smile and warm gestures like earlier were incredibly precious to him.
"By the way, Mr. Davis, do you want to eat first or take a shower? Amanda isn’t feeling well today; she’s gone to rest. If you need anything, I can help." Sophie continued with her ’strange’ behavior in Nolan’s eyes.
"If I want to eat, will you cook for ? Or if I want to shower, will you help with that too? Does that count as a need?" Nolan eyed her thoughtfully.
"Well..." A hint of embarrassnt flashed across Sophie’s face. "I guess it counts as a need, but I might not be much help."
Ha, he never expected her to help anyway. He was just speaking off the cuff.
"I’ll go take a shower first. Can you ask the chef to prepare sothing simple and light?"
"Okay." With that, she really ran to the kitchen to convey his request.
Nolan ca out of the bathroom, took a dry towel to wipe the water droplets from his hair, and after drying his hair, sat on the sofa without hurrying downstairs.
The image of her brilliant smile lingered in his mind.
He thought, he must be under so spell.

Sophie pushed open the door, imdiately noticing Nolan’s furious deanor.
