Asher Land kept dragging Sophie Smith and walked very far.
He opened the car door and let her sit inside.
She remained silent the entire ti, which made him feel uneasy.
"I’m sorry..."
Sophie looked up at him, wondering what he was apologizing for this ti?
"This matter doesn’t seem to have anything to do with you..." She smirked self-deprecatingly, "Irene deliberately wants to embarrass ."
She turned her head towards the window, her face expressionless, her eyes filled with confused emotions.
Although she felt a bit sad now, it was only temporary. She just needed so ti to compose herself. She wasn’t that fragile.
...
Golden Era Consortium’s eting room.
Asher Land sat at the head of the long table, confidently resting his long legs.
Perhaps this would be his last eting at the consortium here.
He just hoped to handle the affairs here quickly and then take Sophie back to Eastern City.
"What do you an?" Enzo Land shouted angrily, slamming the table and standing up, "You’re going to transfer to South Africa?"
"Uncle, why not?" Asher Land spoke slowly, "Golden Era’s business in Asia and Europe has already expanded. We’re exploring the Aricas. Expanding globally could boost Golden Era’s growth. If you could secure the diamond and gold cooperation projects we need in South Africa..."
He didn’t an much by it; it was just that having Enzo Land at headquarters didn’t sit well with them. He could cause major trouble at any ti. Sending him to South Africa and ’entrusting him with important responsibilities’ where he wouldn’t have the chance to return to the European Headquarters might be a solution.
Enzo Land was always impulsive, and Asher Land’s nonchalant attitude truly upset him.
Not to ntion that Enzo was, after all, one of their elders, and Golden Era was founded by him and Nathan Land together. Why should Asher Land easily take over the consortium and keep it in his hands?
Asher Land, although young, had a remarkably strong presence.
He certainly had the credentials to lead Golden Era. His competence was undeniable, and the company’s high officials knew in their hearts that if a leader had to be chosen for Golden Era, Asher Land would be the first choice.
He lightly lifted his head, and beneath his neat short hair, his eyes, sharp like an eagle’s, always brought a chilling fear. Just casually looking at a spot increased the pressure instantly.
"Third Young Master Land, are you determined to oppose ?" Enzo Land snorted coldly, "There are so many people in the company; why did you specifically choose to send away?"
"After all, I am your uncle, and I’ve gotten older. What do you an by transferring far away?"
"Uncle, your words are not quite right." Luke Land stepped forward, "Didn’t you always tell to work tirelessly for the company? Now that the opportunity is right before you, aren’t you contradicting yourself in front of so many employees?"
"You!" These three brothers were in the sa boat. They now held significant power, and opposing them put him at a disadvantage.
Right now, Enzo Land had no strength to fight back, as the company’s sentint sided with Asher Land, coupled with Nathan Land’s will. These three brothers’ reigns were firmly established, ...
But it’s absolutely impossible for Enzo Land to sit back and let things happen.
"Give a little ti to consider this matter." With that said, Enzo Land ignored everyone in the eting room and walked out directly.
