"Miss Miller." Nolan Davis’s voice was hoarse and weary as soon as he spoke, his sharp eyes slightly sunken and bloodshot.
"I see you’re tired too. You should go rest; I’ll take care of Little Sophie here."
"Mr. Davis, you should be the one to rest. You’ve been taking care of Sophie Smith every night this past week, it’s my turn now." Eva Miller was adamant.
Nolan Davis shook his head, equally unwilling to leave. Sophie Smith had been in a coma for half a month, and today was her first ti waking up.
However, less than five minutes later, she fainted again. She probably didn’t even see him clearly. He thought, the next ti she wakes up, he must let her see him, then he could be at ease.
Neither of them was willing to leave, both staying to watch over her.

A week passed in a blink.
Eva Miller stood by the window, taking out the freshly bought bouquet and placing it in a glass vase, then positioned it on the bedside table in front of the hospital bed.
So of the bandages on Sophie Smith’s body had already been removed, but the head injuries were still severe and not completely healed, so it was still wrapped in those obtrusive things.
Eva Miller fetched a basin of hot water, soaked a towel, and gently wiped Sophie Smith’s body.
"It hurts..." The person on the bed let out a muffled groan. Eva Miller was both surprised and delighted, her hand frozen in mid-air, staring blankly at Sophie Smith, not knowing what to do.
"Eva, I’m a bit in pain..." Sophie Smith weakly spoke, half-opening her eyes and speaking softly.
"Oh, I, I’ll go get the doctor right away!" Eva Miller ran out in a flurry, but it wasn’t the doctor who rushed in first, it was Nolan Davis.
"Little Sophie, you finally woke up." Nolan Davis couldn’t hide his excitent in his voice. He wanted to get closer to her, but was afraid of startling her again.
"Mr. Davis..." Sophie Smith managed to tug at the corners of her lips, wanting to say more, but Nolan Davis made a gesture to silence her.
"Your body is still very weak. Don’t speak, just rest, the doctor will be here soon."
Don’t speak?
But she really had so many things she wanted to ask them.
How long had she been in a coma? Where were Asher Land and Alexander now?
The corners of her eyes inexplicably felt sore, and tears trickled down her cheeks, dripping onto the side of the pillow.
"Where are you feeling uncomfortable?" Nolan Davis stepped forward, bending down anxiously. Was she in pain because of her tears?
She shook her head.
"Asher Land, is he... okay?"
She spoke with a tremble, with an inexplicable fear inside. However, she knew Asher Land’s life was quite tenacious, so he must be fine, she comforted herself.
The room fell silent for a mont. Eva Miller lowered her head, not daring to et Sophie Smith’s eyes.
Nolan Davis just turned his head to the other side.
Their reactions filled her heart with imnse panic.
She struggled and, ignoring the excruciating pain in her body, sat up.
"Little Sophie, don’t move around." Nolan Davis quickly grabbed a soft pillow and placed it behind her back, letting her lean back comfortably.
"Mr. Davis, Eva, please don’t hide anything from . Tell , where is Asher Land now, and is he okay?" Sophie Smith’s voice, though as weak as a mosquito’s hum, was clear enough for Nolan Davis and Eva Miller to hear. Even though they wanted to avoid this question, Sophie Smith’s urgent and helpless eyes left them at a loss.
