"Tell the truth!" Asher Land’s tone was aggressive. After spending so much ti with her, he could tell which of her words were true and which were false.
"The truth is just like this. If you don’t believe it, that’s up to you." Irene Morton naturally wouldn’t confess truthfully. She wasn’t stupid. Why should she speak against herself in front of him?
"How long are you going to keep acting recklessly?"
He drove the car extrely fast, its speed matching the fury rising in his heart.
"I, what recklessness have I committed? I really just care about you. She called late at night, asking you to go out. Am I wrong for not wanting that? You’re also a patient, why should she order you around like that?"
"I want to." Asher’s words were clear, "So, don’t fool yourself into thinking you’re caring about . In my view, you’re just being unreasonable and reckless."
"You!" Irene’s chest heaved violently; what recklessness, what unreasonableness.
"Ha, I guess you’ve yet to see be more unreasonable." She chuckled lightly, turning her head towards the window.
He braked suddenly, stopping the car by the roadside, causing Irene’s body to lurch forward due to inertia.
"What are you doing..." she muttered in dissatisfaction. In these years, she had beco increasingly wanton with Asher Land.
Even though he was angry, even though he was upset, she would sotis fear, yet she acted recklessly, daringly.
"Is your heart perverse or twisted?" Asher’s tone was slightly mocking. "You know I hate the most unruly won, but you repeatedly go against like this. You still wish I’d like you?"
His indifferent words ’You still wish I’d like you?’ left Irene suddenly despairing.
He doesn’t dislike unruly won; he just doesn’t like her.
That, Irene understood perfectly.
Years ago, she’d stayed at the Land Family villa in Eastern City. Back then, Asher Land and Sophie Smith weren’t so ’lovey-dovey.’ Sophie Smith would often challenge him too.
Yet, sohow, he cherished her deeply.
For a mont, she seed to lose even the strength to speak. Her body and heart were exceptionally weary.
"Brother Asher, let tell you the truth..." Irene’s lips curled into a helpless smile. She’s said this more than once; she says it repeatedly only to remind him.
"As long as I’m alive, I won’t let go of you. Why, in these four years, did you fail to see what I’ve done for you?"
Whenever Asher Land heard her ntion these four years, he felt discomfort.
"You won’t let go as long as you’re alive?" Asher’s lips twisted slightly, his gaze shifting to her.
"Then maybe we should just die together."
Irene’s expression was full of surprise. She stared at Asher’s profile for a long ti. He had suppressed the emotions on his face, whether anger, sadness, or helplessness...
Now, he was just expressionless.
Irene couldn’t discern whether he was serious or joking.
"Brother Asher, what do you really want to do..."
"Are you scared?"
He sneered, started the car again, slamd the accelerator, and the car seed to fly.
"Ah!" Irene couldn’t help but scream.
