Sophie noticed Asher Land’s face gradually darkening, and quickly smiled to ease the situation.
"Alexander, try eating a bit more before judging the taste, okay?"
This must be the first ti Asher Land has cooked for her, right? She couldn’t quite rember, but she knew he usually hated going into the kitchen.
"If you don’t like it, then don’t eat it." Asher Land said expressionlessly, picking up the car keys from the coffee table, "I’m headed to the office. Call if you need anything."
As he spoke to Sophie, Alexander quickly chid in.
"Uncle, are you sure you’ll pick up if we call?" Alexander’s tone was a bit disgruntled.
"Alexander!" Sophie interrupted him.
Asher Land didn’t say anything and directly walked out of the apartnt.
After he left, Sophie didn’t forget to lecture Alexander.
"Look at your attitude just now, it really wasn’t good."
Alexander remained silent, just focused on scooping a large spoonful of slightly cooled white porridge into his mouth, eating spoonful after spoonful.
Sophie couldn’t help but laugh softly, "Didn’t you say it was just average?"
Why was he eating so enthusiastically?
"It’s just... average. Compared to what I had at the dessert shop last ti, it’s really lacking..." Having his thoughts guessed, Alexander felt a bit awkward, put down the spoon, and hopped off the stool, "I’m full."

After resting for two days, Sophie felt almost recovered, her fever had gone down, and she returned to the office.

"Sophie, Julia said you caught a cold, are you feeling better?" Eva leaned in closer, "How are you taking care of yourself? On such a windy and sunny day, how did you manage to catch a cold?"
"No, it was when filming on set last ti, I accidentally caught a cold." Sophie pulled Eva into a cafe and sat down, "I haven’t seen much of you at the office lately, what’s going on, have the announcents been piling up?"
"Naturally, I’m a top-tier star in the entertainnt world right now." Eva clicked her tongue in admiration, "Of course, there are lots of announcents."
"Oh, by the way." Eva suddenly rembered sothing, "Next week I’m going to France, I’ve been invited to a fashion show. Sister Sunny has extra spots, do you want to try for one? We could go together, it’s a first-class, top-tier show, try to get a spot."
Sophie shook her head, "I’m not interested in that."
What? Not interested?
"Oh my gosh, what would actually interest you?" Eva propped her head in thought for a while, then suddenly squinted her big eyes and looked mischievously at Sophie, "I know..."
"Know what?" Sophie looked at Eva with so confusion.
"I know what will pique your interest."
"How so?" Eva looked as if she had a plan, yet Sophie herself had no idea what she had figured out.
"The only person who can pique your ’interest’ is President Land." Eva said with a aningful tone.
