His slender fingers casually tapped the steering wheel. Through the rearview mirror, he saw the woman in the backseat looking as pale as a frightened bird.

Isabella Yates’s face turned white, and when she spoke, her voice trembled a bit, "President Land, please forgive this once, I beg you..."
"It’s nothing, people need to learn so lessons in life, only then will they know to repent, right?" He chuckled lightly, his tone relaxed. Last ti Ana Scott frad Sophie Smith, he taught him a lesson, and now there’s another Isabella Yates. He really didn’t know how many enemies Sophie had...
So, how could he possibly feel assured letting her live alone?
He didn’t know how long the car had been driving before it finally stopped.
"Get out of the car."
"President Land..." Isabella roughly understood what Asher Land ant. He had brought her to a desolate mountain wilderness, even scarier than the outskirts last ti. It was already past ten at night—was he really going to leave her here?
Outside, there were the sounds of insects, and so unidentifiable things were calling. She was even afraid of being bitten by a snake if she went out.
"I said get out of the car, didn’t you hear?"
Isabella was nearly in tears, "President Land, please give another chance. I really won’t do it again next ti."
"Next ti’s problem, we’ll talk about it next ti."
Asher Land’s attitude was resolute. Seeing the expression on his face wasn’t good, Isabella didn’t dare to continue opposing him; otherwise, she would surely die even more miserably.
She wisely got out of the car and closed the door.
Standing beside the car, she hoped Asher Land would leave a leeway for her. Maybe he would forgive her this once, considering she’s a woman. The car drove off, instantly rging into the night.
She imdiately took out her phone to call Edward Harrison for help.
Unfortunately, in the wilderness, there was no signal at all.
Oh my god, Isabella felt like her entire heartbeat had slowed half a beat. It was terrifying, truly too terrifying!
She didn’t know how long Sophie was locked in the bathroom in the suburbs that day, but it must have been very uncomfortable.
Fear spread through her, and she seed to empathize with Sophie.

When Asher Land got ho, Sophie was standing in the hall, anxiously trying to call his phone.
Seeing him co in, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.
"Where did you go? I called you, but you didn’t answer. Didn’t you say you were going to the company? But the secretary said you weren’t there..." She began to nag uncontrollably, not even knowing what she was nervous about. Who could bully Asher Land? It’s usually him bullying others...
"Nobody called you?" He asked with a smile on his lips.
"Hmm?" Sophie didn’t understand what he ant.
She rembered last ti when Ana Scott’s incident was exposed, she imdiately called him as requested by Ana. So, did Isabella Yates not call for help today?
"I don’t know what you’re talking about." Sophie shook her head, pushing him upstairs, "Go take a shower, it’s getting late."
Asher Land didn’t say anything further and went upstairs towards the bathroom.
