Suddenly, large raindrops fell from the sky, pelting her face and making it sting.
"We’ve arrived!" A series of soft footsteps ca from ahead, closing in on her.
The beam of the flashlight fell directly on Sophie Smith.
Sophie’s body was roughly pulled up, and a pair of large hands rcilessly tore away the black tape covering her mouth.
Sophie let out a muffled groan, the pain was intense.
The rain fell harder and harder, and besides the sound of rain pounding on the car windows and the umbrella, Sophie couldn’t hear anything else.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Sophie scread at the top of her lungs, but in an instant, her shouts were drowned out by the rain.
She thought she had always been gentle and friendly to others, and apart from Irene Morton, she couldn’t think of anyone else she’d made enemies with.
Oh no, perhaps there were so minor figures in the entertainnt industry, like Isabella Yates or Ana Scott, but Asher Land had taught them a lesson back then. She didn’t think Isabella Yates and Ana Scott would have the guts to kidnap her.
"Miss Smith, long ti no see."
A deep, low voice of a middle-aged man.
Wait, she felt like she’d heard this voice sowhere before.
"You... you are Enzo Land?"
The one in Europe, always opposing Asher Land, his second uncle?

She steadied herself, took a deep breath from the bottom of her heart, and pretended to remain calm.
"No one would be willing to die for , even if you discard my body in the wilderness now, no one would collect it for ."
"Miss Smith, what are you saying? You hold the Third Young Master Land’s true heart. How could he bear to let you be discarded in the wilderness?"
Though Sophie’s eyes were covered, preventing her from seeing Enzo Land’s expression, she seed to imagine the sinister and ruthless look on his face.
"I have nothing to do with him anymore, so don’t overestimate ."
Sophie was so tense that she almost couldn’t make a sound. Enzo Land intended to use her to threaten Asher Land, and that fool Asher would undoubtedly rush over without hesitation. She didn’t want to see him hurt all over again for her sake.
"Whether that’s an overestimation, you’ll find out soon enough," Enzo Land said with a click of his tongue. "If he doesn’t co, maybe I’ll be rciful enough to send you back."
Enzo Land dared to say this because he was absolutely certain in his heart that Asher Land would co.
Even if Enzo Land wanted him to die right in front of him, for the sake of this woman, he would do it without fail.
The only thing that could leave Asher Land in shambles was the woman in front of him.
