A prison is never a place a normal person would choose to stay; the darkness and filth inside can only truly be felt by those who have experienced it.
Lisa originally wanted to follow Oliver Johnson, but Oliver drove her away without any rcy.
"Won’t it be bad for you to do this?"
After all, Lisa is his woman.
"Bad?" he replied casually while driving.
"Your girlfriend won’t be mad when you take out to eat like this?"
Girlfriend? It seems she misunderstood.
"Lisa can only be considered my personal doctor; my health isn’t great, so she’s the one who usually looks after ."
Personal doctor? Isn’t in good health?
"Mr. Johnson, what’s wrong?"
"It’s nothing, just a small ailnt from my ti in prison."
Sophie Smith lowered her head, maintaining silence. She knew that the pain Oliver endured was certainly more than just a little bit, and far more serious than his words suggested. But in front of her, he acted indifferent, perhaps because he feared she’d worry or feel guilty.
The car stopped at a Western restaurant, and Oliver opened the car door for her.
He was as ticulous and considerate as always, choosing dishes according to her taste, even carefully slicing her steak...
Sophie felt sowhat overwheld by such care.
"By the way, what brings you to the United States?" The atmosphere at the table was too quiet, so Oliver asked.
"Oh, Asher Land is having surgery here; I ca over to accompany him."
Hearing Asher Land’s na, his expression visibly stiffened for a mont.
"Have you... gotten married?"
Married?
Sophie shook her head, "We registered the marriage, but haven’t held the ceremony yet. Asher said when he recovers, we’ll go to Bali Island for the wedding."
As she spoke, her lips couldn’t help but curve upwards.
Satisfaction and happiness were written all over her face.
For so reason, Oliver felt a bit of bitterness in his heart.
"What about your child?"
He rembered that when he went to prison, Sophie was about to give birth.
"The child is doing well; his na is Alexander, and he’s five years old."
After Oliver asked Sophie a few questions, she finally opened her heart and told him everything he didn’t know over the years, regarding herself or Eva Miller.
Oliver listened with intense focus.

"Mr. Johnson, it’s late; I should be going back."
"I’ll take you."
"No need." Sophie thought for a mont and added, "I’ll just take a taxi back."
She left Oliver her contact information.
"Mr. Johnson, if I send you a wedding invitation, you must co." Sophie’s expression was not joking. He curved his lips slightly and nodded.
After putting her in the taxi, Oliver turned around, about to head to the parking lot, only to find Eva Miller standing behind him unexpectedly.
"Miss Miller?"
Oliver never thought he’d et Eva Miller here.
Earlier today, when Sophie went out, Eva followed right after.
Seeing Sophie go to the hotel where Oliver was staying, and then the two coming out to eat together, all friendly.
His attitude toward Sophie was always different, unlike when she went to find him last ti; he was cold and indifferent.
