As a farr, no one is better at farming than him!
Seeing the eager little follower, Calyrex smiled, "Then I’ll trouble you to do the sowing."
The soil in the icy snow was sowhat hard and tough, not easy to till.
But fortunately, Naoki had ample experience to help him manage this situation; it wasn’t too hard for him, just needed a bit of ti.
Koraidon and Calyrex stood aside watching him work.
As Naoki tilled the land, he asked, "Do you rember things from before?"
"Things from before?" Calyrex wasn’t sure what he ant; he carefully recalled and then shook his head, "I have been sleeping here for a long ti due to losing my power, and mories from long ago are all fuzzy now."
"Losing power?" Naoki felt a sinking feeling in his heart, "Is it because people from Galar forgot about your existence?"
"I... I don’t know." Calyrex tried to recall but simply couldn’t rember anything: "I only rember sothing very bad happened, I used up a lot of energy, and then I’ve been dormant till now..."
"Hmm?" Hearing this unfamiliar information, Naoki froze in place.
He carefully recalled the story, finally realizing sothing wasn’t right.
Because in both the DLC storyline of The Crown Tundra and the Calyrex he saw now, they appeared to be in a near-amnesiac state.
Moreover, in the ga, Calyrex only rembered having a Horse-type Pokemon but couldn’t rember having two horses.
Thinking of this, Naoki tentatively asked, "Then do you rember how many horses you have?"
"Two." Calyrex looked at his little follower in confusion, not understanding why he asked such a thing.
Naoki was even more perplexed; this isn’t right?
Seeing his expression, Calyrex carefully recalled and then said, "It’s because of the belief you brought to that I rembered; at first, I only rembered having a Horse-type Pokemon, and the rest was unknown."
"I see..." Naoki thoughtfully nodded.
It seems his activities in the Paldea Region have indeed helped Calyrex quite a bit.
However, one concerning point was the "very bad thing" Calyrex ntioned, which led to consuming a large amount of energy and falling into sleep.
The bad thing, was it referring to the awakening of Eternatus?
The land was almost plowed, Naoki placed radish seeds in the holes, covering them with soil, and asked:
"Do you know about Eternatus?"
"Eternatus..." Calyrex repeated this na, a hint of confusion in his eyes.
Naoki asked again, "Then what about Zacian and Zamazenta?"
Calyrex still didn’t rember.
Naoki thoughtfully nodded, "I see..."
He carefully recalled the storyline and background of Sword and Shield.
If envisioning Zacian and Zamazenta as heroes of a fantasy tale, and Eternatus as the demon king.
Then would Calyrex play the role of a king in it?
A king coronates the heroes, then the heroes go to fight the demon king...
A very traditional hero versus demon dragon story.
If that’s truly the case, then the reason Calyrex didn’t appear during the Darkest Day makes sense.
He likely foresaw the awakening of Eternatus beforehand and used his power to massively relocate the Pokemon in the forest!
Naoki rembered, the Pokedex entry for Calyrex in Shield described:
"It is said that it moved vast forests and the creatures dwelling within to other places in one night, saving the forest’s creatures from the crisis of a teorite’s fall with the ability to see all events past and future."
Falling teorite, wishing star, Eternatus from outer space...
Thinking of this, Naoki’s expression beca even more complex, he looked up at Calyrex before him.
After Calyrex’s slumber, sword and shield heroes Zacian and Zamazenta also retreated after fending off the Darkest Day.
The Galar Royal Family took the opportunity to claim their glory...
Sensing his little follower’s gaze, Calyrex’s eyes were filled with puzzlent and confusion.
"Calyrex, does your previous promise still hold?" Naoki asked.
Calyrex solemnly nodded, "Of course, I would not break my vow!"
Naoki smiled slightly, saying to Him, "Alright, I’ve decided what I want."
Calyrex looked at him, "Speak."
Naoki seriously said, "After I help you find your horses, would you co with them to live with in the Paldea Region, at my ranch?"
