"Fla Lash."

The fire blade hissed as Lucien whispered the na. Three small, unknown runes appeared, circling the fire blade in a ring.

They were golden, burning with fla. They fused into the Fang.

The blade turned red as magma. Then sothing magical happened—it slowly twisted and coiled until it beca a whip.

Red like molten rock, releasing waves of heat. Runes etched along its length.

All of this happened in an instant.

The alpha wolf’s fur stood on end, sensing the danger. But it could not stop its montum or change direction.

The tip of the blade, or now whip, was pointed to the sky.

And at a perfect timing, it extended, piercing through the head of the Alpha.

With the heat, it scorched it and lasered out as it destroyed the brain.

In that mont, it retracted back. It happened in a split second.

The Alpha wolf was still sailing in the sky but it had already sailed to death.

It still maintained that movent but wasn’t able to land; its body fell to the ground.

Ding!

[Host has killed a level 3 Initiate Realm Mistfang Alpha Wolf. You are rewarded with 50 EXP and 10 SP.]

[Host has leveled up. 5 to all stats.]

Seraphina watched this in surprise.

Her face beca a bit red as she looked at Lucien with an obsessive gaze.

The remaining Mistfang wolves howled sadly as they watched their alpha lose its life.

They looked at Lucien with ferocity but couldn’t do anything as they ran away.

They knew there was no way they could defeat Lucien. If their alpha which was stronger than them was killed, who were they?

Lucien was surprised by how intelligent the wolves were. He thought they would attack him in ferocious anger.

Anyways, he wasn’t letting them off.

He swung the whip to the side and it elongated with insane speed, burning everything in its path.

The whip snapped forward – a line of molten light.

It caught the first wolf mid-stride. The creature didn’t scream. Its body simply split. Smoke rose from the halves.

Lucien flicked his wrist. The whip curled left, took another wolf across the flank. The beast tumbled, fur on fire, rolling in the dry grass. It didn’t get up.

Three more ran. The whip chased them like a hungry serpent. One by one, they fell – backs torn open, heads cleaved, bodies burning.

The forest filled with the sll of charred fur and cooked at.

In seconds, all of them were down. None reached the treeline.

Lucien retracted the whip. It coiled back into a blade, runes fading.

Lucien panted; his body seed stressed. That move he used stressed his body, taking a lot of his Originat.

When he checked his MP through his status, he saw that he had 120 left – just that attack within a minute had taken 150 of his MP.

With the special trait, Genesis Scribe, and his SS-rank Origin Fire Elent, he was able to pull that off.

He had just realized that the Fla Lash skill he picked wasn’t suitable for a blade or sword – it was ant for a whip.

That ant he wouldn’t be able to bring out its full attack power due to the weapon.

So he used his Origin Fire Elent to create a whip around the sword with the Fla Lash skill.

He couldn’t say how he did it. He just followed his instinct.

Ding!

[Your wife, Seraphina, is impressed by your battle and your battle tactics. You are rewarded with 200 Eternal Devotion Tokens and 1 random Gacha Ticket.]

Ding!

[Seraphina Drax’s Obsession Link has deepened. Obsession increased by 10%. The bond tightens.]

"Didn’t expect that tactic." Seraphina chuckled.

Lucien sat cross‑legged and imdiately began recovering his Originat.

As he did so, he felt a wind blow. Goosebumps rose on his skin.

He opened his eyes, his brows furrowed. He felt sothing now.

After a while, he turned to Seraphina and asked, "Didn’t you feel anything?"

"No. Is sothing wrong?" She shook her head.

"Nothing." Lucien pushed it out of his mind. Maybe he had sensed wrong.

After he had absorbed Originat to the brim, they continued their search for the Thornback Boar.

They encountered nurous Volkoids. Lucien leveled up again to Level 9.

Now he needed 1000 EXP to level up.

The sun had almost set when they found their target.

A massive shape erged from the trees – as tall as a man at the shoulder, its body a wall of dark, bristled hide.

Thick, bony spikes ran down its spine like a ridge of ancient bones. Its head was low, wide, with tusks that curved up like sickles.

Mud and dried blood caked its flanks. Its eyes were small, black, sunk deep beneath a heavy brow ridge.

When it moved, the thorns clicked together like dry bones, and the ground trembled faintly.

This was the Thornback Boar.

Seraphina faded into the shadows, not making her presence known.

The forest had grown quiet. Even the insects held their breath.

Lucien moved carefully. The boar was dragging a corpse to a location, and Lucien quietly followed.

The beast’s hooves scraped against roots and stones. Blood dripped from the carcass in its jaws, leaving a dark trail on the leaves.

It wasn’t the right mont. Thornback Boars are known for their great defense. Unlike the Mistfang Wolves and Cottontail Impalers, they moved alone.

Lucien kept his distance, staying low, using the trees as cover.

He quietly followed until the boar reached a location and began to feast.

The beast dropped the corpse – so kind of deer – and tore into its belly with tusks that looked like curved daggers. The sound of ripping flesh filled the clearing.

Lucien made his presence unknown and launched a sneak attack.

He crept closer, the Fang of the Unnad Dark held tight. One step. Two. The boar’s head was down, buried in its al.

He lunged.

CLANG!

The sound of tal clashing woke Lucien. He couldn’t pierce its skin with just the weapon.

The blade had struck the boar’s flank and bounced off like hitting stone. Sparks flew. The beast didn’t even flinch.

He had appraised it and knew it was at level 6 Initiate Realm. According to the system, its weakness was its neck.

But it was hard – unless he sent it flying into the sky and attacked.

The neck was thick, layered with muscle and bone. Only a clean, powerful strike from above might work.

The Thornback Boar sensed an assailant. It turned to Lucien with its red eyes.

Those eyes were small but burning – like two coals of anger. It snorted, a cloud of hot breath fogging the air.

It attacked Lucien imdiately, but Lucien defended, making it take a few steps back.

He braced the Fang against the boar’s charge. The impact jarred his arms, but his feet held. The beast stumbled back, shaking its head.

With this, its anger rose, and it began to drag its hooves on the ground, preparing its charge.

It scraped the earth like a bull, digging deep furrows. Its thorns bristled. Its muscles coiled.

Then it charged, head down – its tusks and thorns were its weapons.

The ground trembled. The beast beca a battering ram of flesh and bone, kicking up dirt as it thundered toward him.

Lucien saw it. He couldn’t run, and he didn’t want to dodge. The only way was to block it.

If he dodged, the boar would turn and charge again. If he ran, it would catch him. There was no escape.

And he was prepared for it.

Lucien made sure his feet were glued to the ground, putting the Fang in front of him.

He planted his stance, bent his knees, and held the blade like a spear.

And they clashed.

With his strength, he was able to stop its charge.

The impact sent a shockwave through his bones. Dust exploded around them. But his feet didn’t move. The boar’s montum died against his blade.

But this was only its pure physical strength charge.

As Lucien prepared to counterattack, his instinct scread for danger.

A sixth sense, sharpened by battle, warned him.

Unconsciously, he turned to his side.

"Oh damn." Lucien cursed.
