That thought made him irritated.
So he spoke sharply again to cover it up.
"Put it in the basket then," Feng Yiren ordered, holding the basket closer.
Lin Huahua blinked, then she tossed it inside, and she did not even notice how naturally she treated him like a servant holding her basket, because in her mind, this was normal princess treatnt, and she was not used to people refusing her.
Feng Yiren’s jaw clenched.
He hated that it felt... normal.

Feng Yiren watched her movents carefully, and he kept stepping closer whenever she reached for sothing, because he was convinced she would eventually touch poison.
Lin Huahua noticed his hovering and felt annoyed.
"You are too close," she complained.
"I am watching you," Feng Yiren replied.
"I can watch myself," Lin Huahua insisted.
Feng Yiren snorted.
"You cannot even watch your own mouth, because you almost cried earlier when you saw blood."
Lin Huahua froze.
Then she glared at him.
"That was different," she argued, because she hated that he rembered it.
Feng Yiren’s eyes flicked to her face, and he thought that her anger now looked cute instead of terrifying, and that thought made him feel even more frustrated.
So he stepped closer again and said in a low voice, "If you get hurt, I will not carry you."
Lin Huahua looked at him and narrowed her eyes.
"You will carry ," she said confidently.
Feng Yiren stared.
"Why," he asked.
Lin Huahua replied without hesitation, "Because you belong to . Humph." Lin turned away annoyed.
Feng Yiren’s entire body froze for a second. His ears twitched violently. His face turned red imdiately and even his tail stiffened.
This female had never claid him in the past before, because she was too disgusted to even accept it.
And now she was shalessly admitting it like it ant nothing. For a fox beastman those words ant even.
Feng Yiren felt his throat go dry.
If she says it like that again, I might actually lose control.
Lin Huahua did not notice his internal struggle at all, because she was already crouching again, reaching for another plant.
Then suddenly, a thin snake slithered near her hand.

Lin Huahua blinked up at him, startled.
For a second, she could feel how tense he was, and she could feel how his arms tightened around her like he was holding sothing precious.
She bit her lip and looked at his bare chest. In this world the males only wore hide skirts so it was normal for them.
But for Lin Huahua it was not. Because how could she ignore the mouth watering sight in front of her.
Before she could stop herself she found herself leaning forward.

Lin Huahua scolded herself and her heartbeat stumbled.
Then she imdiately got angry again, because she did not want to feel flustered.
"Why are you holding like that," Lin Huahua complained, pushing at his chest lightly.
Feng Yiren released her so fast it looked like he rembered her threat to hit him, then he turned away and coughed.
"I saved you," he muttered stiffly.
Lin Huahua glared.
"I know," she replied, then she added quietly, "Thank you."
Feng Yiren froze again, because he did not expect gratitude.
He did not look back, but his ears turned red.
"Tsk," he said, pretending he was annoyed. "Just do not be dumb."
Lin Huahua wanted to argue, but then she rembered Hu Baiyu’s injured body at ho, and her mood softened slightly.
Mu Qingyi was probably waiting for the spices too so she had to be quick.
She looked at the basket and thought about how she could use sothing here to help him recover, because even if she could not get a dical kit, she could still find herbs that helped wounds.

Lin Huahua smiled softly and placed it in the basket too.
Feng Yiren noticed.

"You are picking that for what," he asked.

Feng Yiren’s fox tail twitched sharply with jealously.
In his mind, sothing hot rose again, because he did not like hearing her say that lion’s na so gently.
So he clicked his tongue and said coldly, "That mute cat will heal anyway."
Lin Huahua imdiately turned and glared at him.
"Do not call him that," she warned.
Feng Yiren stared back.
"Why," he asked, voice tense, because he wanted her to say sothing, anything, that included him too.
Lin Huahua replied simply, "Because he is injured, and he is kind."
Feng Yiren’s chest tightened.
He wanted to say, I am kind too, but his pride would die before it let him say that.
So he only muttered, "Whatever."
They started heading back, and Lin Huahua felt satisfied, because her basket was not empty, and her spice mission was successful, and she also found sothing for Hu Baiyu.
But on their way back to the tribe, since it was already evening most of the tribe people were out and they all stared.
"So it is true our rat princess has really gone mad" One of the tribe people muttered under his breath and Lin Huahua’s eyes widened.
Before she could respond an annoying voice slid into her ears.
"Eh, You’re still alive princess?"
