On the other side of the forest.

Pfft!

A sharp slash cut across the earth, instantly splitting trees and boulders in its path and creating a crack hundreds of ters long.

Whoosh!

The next mont, a sea of flas engulfed the forest. Large areas of trees turned to ash in a matter of seconds, and rocks were lted into glowing red magma. The ground within a hundred ters was scorched white.

Clang!

Oliver moved swiftly, his two swords flashing like lightning as they collided fiercely with Calamodus’s claws. The terrifying force stirred the air, creating a powerful shockwave that scraped the ground clean.

"Hah... hah... This is a real pain." Oliver gasped, looking annoyed at the gradually healing wound on Calamodus’s wing.

"Roar!"

On the other side, Calamodus stood on all fours, eyeing Oliver warily. Although the wounds on its body were healing, they were still bleeding. The tiny two-legged guy in front of it was not as big or as strong as that demon, but he was very troubleso. His two strange weapons were especially sharp, capable of cutting through its scales.

It had to kill him and get out of here quickly, or the demon would catch it, and it would truly die.

"I can’t keep this up. My swords will break." Oliver’s face was grim as he looked at the already chipped Nagamitsu and Yubashiri.

"Armant Hardening - Black Blade!!!"

Hum!

The blades humd, and a black sheen appeared, instantly wrapping both of his excellent grade swords and turning them into black blades.

"Co on, round two begins!" With the black blades in hand, Oliver’s aura soared, filled with killing intent.

"Roar!"

Feeling the astonishing killing intent from the little guy, Calamodus roared, becoming even more vigilant. Its huge body twitched anxiously, and its tail swayed back and forth, lightly hitting the ground.

"Two-Sword Style - Bloodslash!!!" Oliver’s killing intent suddenly surged as he swung his swords.

Two streaks of crimson light appeared from the void, carrying a thick killing aura as they slashed forward.

"Roar!"

Calamodus flapped its wings, and its massive body shot forward. It extended its front claws and struck out at the sa ti.

Clang!

With a crisp sound, the two streaks of crimson light were broken.

At that mont, Oliver moved, disappearing from his spot in an instant, only to be seen as a flash of a blade in the air.

Two-Sword Style - Blink Slash!!!

Clang!

The two figures, one large and one small, flashed past each other. A crisp, tallic clashing sound echoed in the void, and a spark shot out.

The scene fell silent. Oliver and Calamodus had swapped positions, their backs to each other.

"Hmph... You have so real power." Oliver grunted, his face pale as a trail of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.

"Roar!"

Calamodus roared in pain. On its chest, just below its neck, the scales had split open, revealing a long, bloody wound.

Whoosh~

Then, the injured Calamodus went berserk. It turned and opened its mouth wide. A small spark appeared, followed by a condensed stream of flas being sprayed out.

"Damn it!" Oliver didn’t dare to face the flas head-on and quickly dodged to the side.

The high-temperature flas, like a fiery arrow, blazed, forming a fire line, or rather, a fire wall hundreds of ters long. The soil and rocks on the ground were lted by the intense heat, turning into a flowing, lava-like substance.

After dodging to the side, Oliver imdiately started swinging his two swords in a rapid succession. The speed of his swings was so fast that a series of afterimages were left behind, and a continuous stream of solid slashes was sent out.

Two-Sword Style - Myriad Phantom Cuts!!!

Countless pale-blue slashes danced in the air, as if they wanted to tear everything in front of them to shreds. Faced with the onslaught, the enormous Calamodus couldn’t dodge in ti and blocked its face with its wide wings.

Pfft, pfft, pfft...

Slash after slash landed on Calamodus’s wings. If one slash couldn’t cut through its scales, then two, three... In an instant, blood splattered everywhere.

When Oliver’s attack ended, Calamodus’s wings were covered in wounds of all sizes. The scales on its wings were almost all destroyed, and a large amount of blood flowed, quickly staining the ground red.

"Phew~" Oliver lowered his hands, panting.

"Roar!"

Just then, Calamodus lowered its wings and roared in fury. Its four feet pushed off the ground, and its massive body charged forward like an arrow, creating a whistling wind that bent the surrounding trees.

"What?!" Oliver was startled, not expecting the opponent to have the strength to launch a surprise attack after being so badly sliced.

Caught off guard, Oliver could only cross his two swords in front of his chest, hoping to block Calamodus’s charge.

As if a person had run into an ant, the hundred-ter-long Calamodus extended its claws and crashed into Oliver’s swords.

Clang!

With a violent crash, Oliver felt as if he had been hit by a mountain. An overwhelming, imnse force ca at him, a force that no human could withstand.

Rumble rumble rumble!

A black figure was sent flying backward at high speed. A sharp shriek seed to tear through the air, and a conical white sonic boom cloud appeared in front of the figure. It flew hundreds of ters away in an instant, causing devastating damage to the trees in its path. The shockwave flipped them over, leaving a long indentation in the ground.

Oliver finally stopped at the foot of the mountain, where he was embedded in a rock wall. The rock wall within ten ters of him was caved in, filled with countless cracks.

"Puagh... cough, cough, cough..." Oliver barely opened his eyes, spitting out a mouthful of blood and coughing several tis.

"You... bastard~" He struggled to get down from the rock wall and knelt on the ground, weakly muttering as blood dripped from his mouth.

Crack!

Suddenly, a light snapping sound.

Oliver looked over to see a katana three to four ters away. The hilt was simple, and the blade was a chaotic hamon. However, there were three clear cracks on the blade. It would probably break into three pieces if he picked it up.

"Damn it, this is a real humiliation..." Oliver stared at the katana. It was one of his two swords, the Skillful Grade Sword Yubashiri.

After the intense collision, Oliver had montarily lost consciousness, causing the Armant Haki hardening his sword to weaken. It was unable to withstand Calamodus’s imnse power.

If Aeridar were here, he would surely sigh in lant. It seems the fate of Yubashiri being destroyed was still unavoidable.
