Whoosh!
A fierce gust of wind blew past, and a hundred-ter-long black giant beast flew a dozen ters off the ground, its wings flapping as it charged.
"A beast is a beast. Has it gone insane..." Oliver scoffed, but his expression grew more serious. He stumbled a few steps and picked up his other sword, the Skillful Grade Sword Nagamitsu, which had been dropped nearby.
When Oliver had first fought Calamodus, he could still feel the creature’s desire to flee. But now, it was still chasing him like a maniac, even after he had been sent flying so far. It was clear that the beast had gone berserk. It wouldn’t run again until it had torn him to shreds.
Furthermore, the wounds on its wings were almost fully healed. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be able to fly. This regeneration ability was truly terrifying.
"Good. It’s ti to get back what I lost." Oliver tightened his grip on Nagamitsu, his expression growing colder. The killing intent radiating from his body was almost tangible, and a faint red mist even began to appear around him.
Hum!
A black sheen surged forth, and in the blink of an eye, Oliver’s Armant Haki had coated his right hand and the sword in it, turning them pitch-black.
"Armant Hardening, One-Sword Style - Black Blade, Crimson Purgatory!!!"
Just before Calamodus’s charge, Oliver disappeared from his spot.
A mont later, a red mist hung in the air. Killing intent surged, and several blood-red slashes appeared from nowhere, forming a lethal stance that made one feel as if they were in a Shura’s hell and would be instantly killed.
Whoosh!
The air suddenly beca turbulent. A strong wind blew and then quickly dissipated as Oliver and Calamodus passed each other, standing back-to-back.
Pfft, pfft, pfft...
In an instant, several long, jagged wounds appeared on Calamodus’s massive body, and large amounts of blood sprayed out. The surrounding ground was also cut by invisible blades, with five or six cracks, each a hundred ters long, appearing at the sa ti.
"Hmph~" Oliver’s face turned pale, his legs gave out, and he fell to his knees.
"Ugh, blegh~" With his hands on the ground, Oliver vomited a large mouthful of blood.
The difference in power was too great. With Calamodus’s size and strength, it could easily overpower the fire dragon Vegapunk created on Punk Hazard; it could even take on a few of them at once.
"Roar, roar~"
Calamodus howled in pain. This ti, the wounds on its body didn’t heal as quickly as before. They were healing very slowly, and a very faint red-and-black mist was coming from the wounds, seemingly hindering its regenerative ability.
"This tangible killing intent... it seems it’s still too weak." Looking at the wounds on Calamodus that were slow to heal, Oliver smiled faintly and said with a tired grimace.
"Impact Cannon!"
A familiar roar suddenly ca, and then a flash of white light appeared. A huge, elephant-foot-like pillar of air extended from a distance, like a runaway train, smashing everything in its path and hitting Calamodus head-on.
Boom!
Rumble rumble rumble!
The air pillar, over five ters in diater, displayed astonishing power, pushing Calamodus’s body to the side. It even sent the beast tumbling for over a hundred ters before the attack finally dissipated.
At this mont, Calamodus was sprawled on the ground, and the massive air it exhaled was enough to stir up rocks and broken wood. The scales on the part of its waist hit by the Impact Cannon were completely shattered, its flesh was a bloody ss, and a round mark had been left on its body. The surrounding area had also been caved in.
Whoosh!
A black figure appeared next to Oliver.
"Heh~ Your beggar’s clothes... I guess you’re not going to be king anymore." Oliver looked at Aeridar and scoffed.
"What about you? Are you planning to stay next to ?" Wearing his own tattered, dirty clothes, Aeridar glanced sideways at Oliver and sarcastically retorted.
Damn it. Both of us are covered in dirty, tattered, bloodstained clothes. So what? Are we going to keep insulting each other?
"Where is the big shot?" Oliver looked around and asked. He couldn’t see Yonko Kaido anywhere, and he didn’t believe his captain had reached the level where he could take down a Yonko.
"I let the big shot go to our camp for a drink," Aeridar said with a wry smile. "Today, we both lost repeatedly. You lost to a beast, and I lost to a Yonko. I used my full power, but I still had to rely on the vibration power to give that monster a tiny, insignificant wound."
It was true. Since they had set sail and built up such a large force, they had never lost so miserably.
"Today’s defeat has shown how big and strange the world is," Oliver said with a sigh. To be so helpless against a re beast, it seed he had grown complacent over the years.
"Save the philosophical musings for later. I still have to drag that big guy back to the ship." Aeridar twisted his neck and disappeared from his spot the next mont.
A hundred ters away, Calamodus, who had just gotten back up, suddenly found another tiny two-legged guy in front of it, but this one was different from the last one.
Bang!
Then, Calamodus felt a sharp pain in its head as a huge force struck it.
Rumble!
Calamodus’s head snapped down, instantly creating a huge crater in the ground. Half of its head was buried in the earth, and the massive airflow created a small-scale hurricane around it.
In reality, the consecutive battles with Kaido and Oliver had already exhausted Calamodus’s stamina. Now, due to its severe injuries and blood loss, its reaction ti was even slower.
"Has it gotten weaker..." Landing on the ground, Aeridar looked at his fist, a smirk playing on his lips.
"Rokushiki: Infinite Soru!"
Rumble!!!
Aeridar’s body vanished instantly, leaving behind the shattered ground with cracks spreading outward.
Bang, bang, bang, bang...
Rumble, rumble, rumble...
Aeridar was incredibly fast, moving back and forth around Calamodus. His body left a trail of afterimages, making it impossible for the beast to catch him.
Each punch and kick carried imnse force, hitting Calamodus’s body relentlessly. Shattered scales flew, and blood splattered everywhere. In just a few minutes, Calamodus’s massive body was covered in all kinds of wounds.
Boom!
With one final blow, the earth trembled and shattered. A powerful shockwave stirred up a cloud of dust. Calamodus’s body was half-buried in the rubble, unable to struggle any longer.
