Aether clenched his fists, carefully sensing the changes within his body. The sudden level increase was an unexpected gain, saving him nearly 2.5 million experience points.
Level Up: Level 92 (1.23 million / 3 million)
Agility: Peak, Admiral level
Among his core attributes, Agility had returned to the Admiral tier. However, the most noticeable change from absorbing Divinity was the refinent of his body. His movents beca lighter and more precise, and even his Observation Haki showed slight improvent.
According to the diary of the Virgin Goddess, the strength of deities varied greatly. Even among True Gods, so only possessed basic S-rank power, with combat ability inferior to certain mbers of the Seven Warlords of the Sea.
A deity's true advantage did not always lie in raw combat strength, but in their higher level of existence and the mysterious abilities they possessed, much like Devil Fruits. Powerful deities could even live as long as the heavens themselves.
The foundation of all this was Divinity.
The diary described three stages of life evolution, Divine Life, Demigod, and True God.
Aether only needed to accumulate enough Divinity to ignite Divine Fire. Once achieved, he would step into the realm of a demigod. At that stage, illnesses like the one that once affected Gol D. Roger would no longer pose any threat, and his lifespan could easily exceed a thousand years.
In addition, in a life-threatening situation, he could burn his Divinity to temporarily boost his power. However, doing so would co at a heavy cost, essentially sacrificing long-term growth for short-term survival.
As for the two remaining strands of Divinity, Aether had no intention of using them on himself. The hardest part was obtaining Divinity in the first place. Now that he had a foundation, he could gradually strengthen it over ti.
A strand of pure Divinity usable by mortals was extrely rare. It was like the difference between ordinary dragon blood and its essence. Even refining an entire demigod might not produce sothing so pure. Aether decided to keep it for future use.
Aside from Divinity and experience, his biggest gain from this short journey was points. In just twenty minutes, he had earned nearly 200,000 points, enough for two purple draws.
Without hesitation, Aether activated both draws.
Two rewards appeared.
Ancient Red Dragon Leather Trousers (2/5)
Effects: High defense, immunity to mid-level fire attacks, immunity to all low-level spells, enhanced resistance to magic and ntal attacks.
Ancient Red Dragon Leather Boots (3/5)
Set Bonus Activated: Young Red Dragon's Strength
Set Bonus Activated: Adult Red Dragon's Strength, Red Dragon's Breath
Aether stared at the results, his expression turning slightly strange.
Drawing consecutive pieces of the sa set, it almost felt intentional. Still, the value of two Ancient Red Dragon items far exceeded the cost of the draws.
He equipped them imdiately.
The increase from the Young Red Dragon's Strength was minimal, but the Adult Red Dragon's Strength provided a significant boost, nearly a fifteen percent increase in overall power.
At his current level, Aether could already lift a warship with ease. A fifteen percent increase was no small matter.
If soone weaker equipped this set, they could potentially reach the level of a Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral.
It was clearly top-tier equipnt.
"In that case, the full five-piece set should be even more interesting."
He wondered if the system would give him the remaining pieces in future draws.
As he finished organizing his equipnt, he suddenly heard crying from outside.
Aether pushed the door open and saw Shirahoshi sitting at the bow, tears streaming down her face. When their eyes t, both were visibly surprised.
Before he could speak, a massive figure rushed forward and collided with him. Even Aether took a step back from the impact.
A tearful voice followed.
"Brother Aether, where did you go? I couldn't find you for two hours. I thought you left , waaaah!"
Aether paused, then gently patted her head, confusion evident in his expression.
He had only been gone for twenty minutes. How had it turned into two hours?
After calming her down, he finally understood the situation. Ti flowed differently between the two worlds. Twenty minutes there equaled two hours here, a sixfold difference.
"Alright, stop crying. You won't look good if you keep crying. Didn't you say you wanted to beco a pirate? People of the sea don't cry."
Shirahoshi sniffled and nodded, wiping her tears, but she still protested softly.
"Okay, I won't cry anymore. I want to beco the freest pirate and travel the whole world. But Brother Aether, I'm a girl, not a man of the sea."
Aether paused briefly, then let out a quiet breath.
Not long after, with the help of Wadatsumi, the damaged ship returned to Fish-Man Island.
The port was already crowded. Neptune and the three princes had been waiting anxiously. Two days had passed without any news, and the royal family had been deeply worried.
Seeing them return safely and hearing that the crisis had been resolved, relief spread across their faces.
Just as Neptune was about to speak, Shirahoshi swam forward excitedly.
"Father, I want to beco a pirate. I want to join Brother Aether's crew."
The atmosphere froze instantly.
Neptune and his three sons stared at her in disbelief. Then, almost simultaneously, their gazes shifted toward Aether, filled with suspicion.
Aether cleared his throat.
"Neptune, don't misunderstand. I only told her about the Pirate King, and she got inspired, right, Shirahoshi?"
Shirahoshi puffed her cheeks, clearly dissatisfied.
"It's not just inspiration. I want to beco the freest person in the world. I want to travel everywhere."
The silence that followed made Aether feel unusually uncomfortable.
The way Neptune and the princes looked at him made it seem like he had just tried to take their most precious treasure away.
