Deep within the Forest of Upper Yard
Zoro followed behind Nami with an annoyed expression.
"The ruins should be this way!" Nami said as she led the way.
Behind a nearby tree, a Shandian warrior gripped his spear tightly.
"So those are the Blue Sea people Wyper ntioned?"
Without hesitation, he charged forward.
"I'll eliminate you!"
Not far away, Zoro glanced at him calmly.
"A guerrilla fighter, huh? What a pain."
Zoro stepped forward quickly, dodged the spear thrust, and casually punched him in the face.
The Shandian collapsed instantly—sleeping peacefully.
"Zoro, you're a swordsman. Defeating enemies with your fists—what happened to your pride?" Nami mocked.
"Hmph. He wasn't even worthy of making draw my sword," Zoro replied disdainfully.
anwhile, nearby, a God's Army soldier was begging desperately.
"Please spare ! I surrender! I surrender!"
Bang! Bang!
The soldier dropped dead.
From the bushes erged a Shandian who clearly wasn't ordinary cannon fodder. He held two guns and leapt out.
"Hey, hey. If you're not one of the priests, don't bother . I'm in a hurry," Zoro said calmly.
"Then I'll leave it to you!"
Nami imdiately ran behind a nearby tree with quick, nimble steps.
"Tch… troubleso woman," Zoro muttered.
The Shandian raised both guns and pulled the trigger.
The bullets shot out accompanied by bright yellow flashes, almost like flashbangs.
Using the Waver on his feet, he zipped across the trees at high speed, firing shot after shot.
Yellow flashes flickered constantly.
But Zoro simply moved lightly, dodging every bullet.
"A glowing gun, huh? What a cheap trick."
Zoro stopped walking and slowly drew his sword.
"But have you ever heard of… a flying slash?"
"What nonsense!" the Shandian shouted as he fired ten shots in rapid succession.
"Oh? I'm not even using Armant Haki. Whether you survive will depend on your luck."
Zoro swung his blade.
One-Sword Style — 36 Pound Phoenix!
Thirty-six blue slashes, each roughly ten centiters long, intertwined and spiraled through the air in a curved trajectory.
The slashes collided with the bullets, crushing them effortlessly before carving deeply into the Shandian's chest.
The warrior collapsed.
He wasn't just another grunt.
He had a na—
Braham.
Across Upper Yard
The battle between the God's Army and the Shandians continued.
The God's Army mainly relied on:
Waver shoesSlash DialsFla Dials
anwhile, the Shandians used:
Waver shoesGuns and artilleryImpact Dials
The forest echoed with explosions and gunfire.
The Ruins of Shandora
Robin had already arrived.
Standing before the ancient ruins buried by ti, she explored excitedly.
Gunfire and explosions echoed throughout the forest, naturally reaching her ears.
"This forest is getting more lively by the minute," Robin said thoughtfully.
"This place should be residential structures far from the main city…"
"I wonder if the important city ruins are still intact."
Just then, a soldier from the God's Army jumped onto the ruins, causing fragnts of stone to crumble and fall.
"Oh? A woman?" he sneered.
"This road leads to the Shrine of God. Continue any further and you'll be committing blasphemy against God."
"Get down from there!" Robin said angrily. "You clearly have no idea of the historical value of these ruins!"
"Hah! Who do you think you're talking to? I'm acting under God's orders. With this Slash Dial, I'll deal with both the Shandians and you Blue Sea people!"
But the next second—
"Six Fleur."
Six arms suddenly sprouted from the soldier's body, locking him firmly in place.
"Anchor Fleur."
CRACK!
With a violent twist, the soldier was thrown off the ruins.
He died instantly.
anwhile — Sanji in the Forest
Sanji sprinted through the jungle.
"I wonder how Usopp and Chopper are doing…"
He looked toward a massive vine stretching into the sky.
"Guess I'll check over there."
He dashed toward the Shrine of God.
Suddenly—
His Observation Haki flared.
His expression sharpened.
A rocket shot straight toward him.
Sanji lifted his leg and kicked.
BOOM!
The rocket was sent flying and exploded violently against a tree, sparks scattering everywhere.
"Hey… that's pretty rude, you know," Sanji said calmly, staring at the man before him.
"I don't think there's anything to talk about between us," the man replied.
It was Wyper, leader of the Shandians.
The rocket launcher in his hands was still smoking.
"Well, then it can't be helped."
Sanji lit a cigarette.
Another rocket ca blasting toward him.
Sanji tilted his head slightly.
The rocket brushed past his ear and exploded, destroying the entire tree behind him.
Then Sanji raised his leg.
Each incoming rocket was kicked back toward Wyper.
Explosions spread across the battlefield.
"If that's all you've got, this fight should be over now," Sanji said calmly.
"Oh? Then let's try another tactic."
Wyper inserted a strange object into the launcher.
A foul sll spread instantly.
"Hm? Gas?" Sanji muttered, a faint red glint flashing in his eyes.
"The Wind Dial inside is filled with gas," Wyper explained proudly.
"This move is called the Burning Cannon! The blue-white flas produced with the gas can burn any target to ashes!"
The next second—
A stream of blue-white fire erupted from the launcher.
Sanji lightly pushed off a tree branch and jumped to another tree, easily dodging the attack.
The flas pierced straight through the massive tree.
Imdiately after, Wyper kicked forward while riding his Waver.
The Jet Dial on the Waver boosted the speed of his kick dramatically.
But—
Sanji calmly blocked the attack with his leg.
Then he pushed back.
CRACK!
Wyper's right Waver shattered.
At the sa ti, his leg bones broke.
His entire body slamd into a giant tree, kicking up thick smoke.
Sanji calmly took a drag from his cigarette.
"Sorry about that."
"While awakening Observation Haki, it seems my Armant Haki awakened too… by accident."
He lowered his gaze.
His already-black leather shoes were now coated in a deeper, shinier black.
Back at the Sacrificial Altar
"Old man, ti for your dicine!" Usopp said, holding several pills.
"These are Chopper's special herbal dicines. They work really fast!"
"Don't praise like that…" Chopper said shyly while grinding herbs.
"The war in Upper Yard has begun," Gan Fall said.
"The priests and God's Army have all been deployed. The Shandians have also entered Upper Yard."
"This war… can no longer be avoided."
"But at the very least, I'll fight for peace."
Gan Fall swallowed the dicine.
"Thank you, both of you."
"No, we should be thanking you!" Chopper said emotionally.
"We're too weak. If you hadn't helped us earlier, we would've been killed by Shura."
"Weak?" Gan Fall smiled.
"That's only because you haven't adapted to sky combat yet."
"Sky combat?"
Gan Fall took out a Dial.
"This is an Impact Dial. It absorbs the enemy's force and converts it into a powerful shock."
He attached it to his hand and pressed his palm against a tree.
BOOM!
A massive crater appeared in the previously smooth trunk.
"It's usually fixed to gloves or bracers for combat," Gan Fall explained.
"Usopp… isn't that—?" Chopper said in shock.
"Yeah! That's the trick that round priest used!" Usopp realized.
"Besides Impact Dials," Gan Fall continued,
"there's also the Reject Dial, which is ten tis stronger but extrely dangerous to its user."
"A Heat Dial used for cooking can heat up a spear."
"And if you place a Fla Dial in a bird's mouth, you can even create a rare fire-breathing bird."
"Old man… do you have any spare Dials we can use?" Usopp asked eagerly.
"Afraid not," Gan Fall laughed.
"I'm just a lone old man. The only Dial I have is this Impact Dial."
"Then why explain all that to us?" Chopper asked, confused.
"Just sharing so knowledge."
"WHAT?!!"
Gan Fall jumped onto Pierre.
"Alright, I'm heading out."
"Pierre!"
He flew toward the Shrine of God.
"Stay safe, you two!"
And so—
All the strongest fighters in Upper Yard were now heading toward the ancient ruins of Shandora.
