"G-Grandpa?!"
The Straw Hat crew stared wide-eyed at the white-haired old man whose forehead was bleeding and whose anger had reached its peak.
At that mont, Vice Admiral Garp clenched his fists.
But inside, he was shaken.
He had never imagined that Luffy had beco this strong. True, he had been careless—but the number of people who could dodge his Fist of Love and counterattack imdiately afterward was extrely small.
Clearly, Aokiji had done an excellent job keeping things secret—even Garp hadn't known.
But very soon, the entire Marine Headquarters would learn about it.
On the Open Sea
The sun shone brightly, while the sea breeze remained cold.
A man rode a bicycle across the ocean, leisurely gliding over the surface. One hand held the handlebars, the other held a Den Den Mushi.
"Buru buru—!"
"Kuzan, I've heard everything about the Enies Lobby incident."
A calm voice ca through. The Den Den Mushi vividly mimicked the appearance of Fleet Admiral Sengoku, complete with his seagull hat and round glasses.
Sengoku sighed.
"Although Enies Lobby was destroyed and the Straw Hats escaped, the matter isn't directly the Marines' responsibility. The World Governnt didn't obtain the Pluton Blueprints, either."
"You handled things well."
"Fleet Admiral Sengoku…" Aokiji sighed softly and looked up at the blue sky.
"What I want to talk about is the pirate Monkey D. Luffy."
"Monkey D. Luffy?" Sengoku sounded surprised, then continued.
"He destroyed Enies Lobby—there's no turning back now."
"Garp has already gone to Water 7. Kuzan, you should go take a look as well. After all, Garp is your ntor."
"The next ti we et, Straw Hat Luffy will be our enemy."
"Aokiji—rember that as an Admiral, justice must co first."
"I didn't hold back."
Aokiji suddenly said.
"…Hmm?"
"Wait—WHAT?!"
The Den Den Mushi's eyes nearly popped out.
"You an—?!"
"Ara ara… It's hard to explain right now." Aokiji scratched his head.
Silence filled the air.
After a long pause, Sengoku finally spoke again.
"If you were to set his bounty… how much would you give him?"
"Ara ara…"
"At least 1.5 billion Berries."
Aokiji looked at the Den Den Mushi seriously.
"1.5 billion…?" Sengoku's voice sounded tired.
He didn't doubt Aokiji. Kuzan might be lazy, but he wasn't careless about matters like this.
But 1.5 billion…
Even King the Wildfire, the top of Kaido's All-Stars, had a bounty of only 1.39 billion.
Pirates who could reach that level could be counted on one's fingers across the entire sea.
The Four Emperors, the Seven Warlords of the Sea…
Sengoku, once known as the "Tactician", suddenly felt his age.
He stood up from the Fleet Admiral's chair, clasped his hands behind his back, and walked slowly to the window.
Clouds drifted across the horizon.
Where exactly is this world heading…?
Water 7 — Straw Hat Residence
Garp's fists cracked loudly.
"LUFFY! Don't you think you owe this old man an explanation?!"
"Explanation? What explanation?"
Luffy tilted his head, completely lacking any sense of danger around his grandfather.
Suddenly—
A fist filled with "love" smashed into Luffy's face.
BOOM!
Luffy's body crashed through the wall.
"Hey, Grandpa! That hurts!"
Luffy climbed out of the rubble, looking annoyed.
"I threw you into bottomless ravines!"
"I left you alone in jungles at night!"
"I tied you to balloons and sent you flying into the sky!"
"I did all that to train you into becoming a Marine!"
Garp roared with blazing anger.
Sanji, cigarette in mouth, twitched his eyebrow.
"I think I just discovered the secret behind his insane vitality…"
"But why?! The mont I take my eyes off you, you beco a pirate!"
"And not just any pirate—you stord the World Governnt's stronghold!"
Garp covered his eyes with one hand.
"With things like this…"
"How is your grandfather supposed to protect you…?"
The entire Straw Hat crew froze.
"Grandpa… I'm sorry."
Luffy lowered his head, tears glistening in his dark eyes.
"But being a Marine… just isn't for ."
Garp looked at the crying Luffy and froze.
After a long silence, he clenched his fist again.
"Luffy!"
"The next ti we et… I will capture you!"
At the Courtyard Gate
Zoro, led by two Marine subordinates who had earlier tried to extort him, finally found his way back.
"Sorry about trying to scam you earlier!"
"Don't worry about it," Zoro said with a wave. "Thanks for the directions."
Then he ran toward the courtyard.
Zoro drew his three swords and charged at the Marines.
CLANG—!
He moved through them like a storm.
Veteran Marines who had fought alongside Garp for years fell one after another like wheat before a scythe.
"You two—go try," Garp said to the n behind him.
"Yes, sir!"
The blond Marine Helppo drew the two kukri blades from his waist and spun forward into the battlefield.
"Hm? Kukri blades?"
Zoro knocked aside a Marine's sword and looked at Helppo charging toward him.
For so reason… the sight irritated him.
Still, Zoro didn't hesitate.
Yubashiri humd faintly as a blue glow flickered along its blade.
With one swing—
A slash tore through the air.
Slash!
Helppo was struck across the chest, blood spraying as he was blasted backward onto the grass—unconscious.
"Soru!"
The pink-haired Koby suddenly appeared like a teleport.
"Another one?" Zoro muttered.
Sensing Koby and the surrounding Marines closing in, Zoro lowered his three blades.
"Three Sword Style — Black Rope: Dragon Twister!"
A violent tornado of sword energy erupted.
Grass, dirt, and even trees were torn up as the storm swept across half the courtyard.
The Marines—including Koby—were thrown into the air.
When the wind died down, they fell back to the ground, covered in wounds and completely unconscious.
"…What the—"
Bogard, Garp's adjutant, stared in shock.
He glanced at Zoro's bounty poster.
80 million Berries.
How does he feel stronger than pirates worth over 100 million?
Even Garp was stunned.
Without even using Observation Haki, he could tell—
Zoro already possessed the strength of an elite Vice Admiral.
"…Forget it."
Garp patted Bogard's shoulder.
"Go repair the wall."
"Huh?" Bogard forced a smile. "Then why did you break it in the first place?"
"It looks cooler if you enter like that," Garp said proudly.
Then he pointed at the Marines.
"You guys—fix it!"
Bogard sighed.
"You too, Vice Admiral."
"…Fine."
Inside the Building
Nami pointed to the massive hole Luffy had made earlier.
"Aren't you going to help fix that?"
"Huh? I don't know how," Luffy shrugged shalessly.
Then he looked at the elegant Robin.
"Besides, Robin will help, right?"
Robin tilted her head.
Then smiled.
"Of course."
She crossed her arms.
"Thirty Fleur."
Dozens of arms sprouted instantly, grabbing tools and working at incredible speed.
Luffy blinked.
"Hey, Grandpa…"
Ding! Mission issued: "Filial Grandson!"
Beat up Garp and send him running in panic.
Reward: Secret Technique of the Iron Fist
Luffy: "..."
"What's wrong?"
Garp asked while holding a hamr in one hand and picking his nose with the other.
"Uh… Grandpa…"
"Can you let beat you up once?"
The room went silent.
"You think that's possible?"
Garp flicked the booger away expressionlessly.
"Well… I an…"
Luffy hesitated. The reward was extrely tempting.
"You've got so nerve!"
Garp appeared in front of him instantly, grabbed his collar, and began punching his head repeatedly.
"AAAAH!"
"Stop!"
"I was wrong!"
"Grandpa, I was wrong!!"
Monts later, Garp calmly returned to repairing the wall.
anwhile, Luffy's head had grown a whole row of giant bumps.
The Straw Hats ignored him.
The Marines pretended not to see anything and continued working.
Let Vice Admiral Garp have his fun.
The Family Bombshell
"Oh right, Luffy," Garp suddenly said.
"Have you ever t your father?"
"Once, I guess."
"What? When he saw you off at Loguetown, he didn't tell you who he was?"
"Nope."
The Straw Hats began whispering among themselves.
"Luffy's dad?"
"Now I'm curious too."
BANG!
Garp slamd his hamr down.
"Your father's na is Monkey D. Dragon!"
"He's a revolutionary!"
"WHAT?!!"
The Marines' jaws dropped.
"Dragon?!"
The Straw Hats broke into cold sweat.
Robin quickly regained her composure.
"Luffy… your father is an extraordinary man."
"The Revolutionary Dragon… has a son?!"
"So Straw Hat Luffy is Dragon's son… and Dragon is Vice Admiral Garp's son?!"
"What kind of family is this?!"
"This is the first ti I've even heard Dragon's full na!"
The Marines were completely stunned.
"…Ah, maybe I shouldn't have said that," Garp scratched his head.
"Hahaha… Just pretend I never said anything."
"WHAT?!"
"You can't just take that back!!"
Departure
"Well then—we're leaving!"
Garp assembled the Marines.
"Since you're my grandson, I'll report that I chose not to capture you on this island."
Then he picked up the unconscious Koby and Helppo.
"When you wake up, you're getting extra training!"
Their fate was decided while they were still passed out.
"Alright, see you!" Luffy said cheerfully.
"That's it?!"
Garp punched him again.
"Don't you feel anything?! Idiot! I'm your long-lost grandfather!"
"What do you want to do?! I've just been getting beaten up this whole ti!"
"Even so, I still want my grandson to show so respect, you moron!!"
By the Window
Nami, Chopper, and Sanji watched quietly.
"Yeah… that personality definitely runs in the family," Sanji sighed.
"I hope Luffy doesn't get his face ruined," Nami said worriedly.
"Don't worry!" Chopper declared confidently.
"I'm the ship's doctor!"
