Camie said happily as she pulled out a Den Den Mushi.
"Hatchan makes the best takoyaki in the whole world!"
Purururu—
The Den Den Mushi was quickly answered.
But the voice on the other side wasn't Hatchan.
"This is Macro," the voice sneered.
"We've captured that octopus together with the Flying Fish Riders."
"Camie, if you don't want him sold off…"
"Co to this location."
Click.
The Den Den Mushi hung up.
Camie froze.
"I'm sorry… could we save the takoyaki for next ti?"
"I have to go rescue my friend!"
She looked apologetically at the Straw Hat Pirates.
"Camie…!" Sanji said anxiously.
His eyes drifted toward Luffy.
The aning was obvious.
Luffy, however, remained calm.
"If Nami agrees… we'll go."
The entire crew froze.
Wow… that's so obvious flirting.
Nami's face turned bright red, and she avoided eye contact with Luffy.
"Huh?" Luffy blinked in confusion.
What's going on?
Your grudges should obviously be handled by yourself.
After a mont, Nami regained her composure.
She glared at Luffy slightly.
"We can help you rescue Hatchan."
"But in exchange, you have to tell us how to get to Fish-Man Island."
"And takoyaki!" Luffy added instantly.
"Thank you!" Camie said gratefully as she sat beneath the mast.
Soon the Thousand Sunny began sailing toward the headquarters of the Flying Fish Riders.
Flying Fish Riders Headquarters
A masked man crushed the wine glass in his hand.
Fragnts cut into his palm as wine mixed with blood.
"The Straw Hat Pirates…"
"Finally… finally…"
"I've waited for this day!"
One of the subordinates nervously spoke up.
"Boss… are we really going to fight them?"
"That's a pirate crew with a 1 billion Beli bounty!"
Panic spread among the group.
"A billion?!"
"I've never even seen soone worth that much!"
"What kind of monster are they?"
"They must be so kind of devil!"
BANG!
The masked man slamd his hand on the table.
"No more talking!"
"I will kill him!"
"I will kill the man who ruined my entire life!"
"No matter the cost!"
The masked leader was Duval.
Arrival at the Base
Soon the Thousand Sunny approached the desHination.
Shell huts scattered across the tidal flats.
Broken ship hulls ford wooden walkways.
Flying fish flags fluttered above the buildings.
Palm-leaf roofs covered low houses built among exposed reefs.
Ships anchored in the shallow waters.
"So this is their base?" Franky said.
"They actually built houses on the sea."
The Sunny slowly sailed into the inner harbor.
Everything was strangely quiet.
No ambush.
Just a single cage hanging above the sea.
Inside it—
"Hatchan!"
Pappag and Camie shouted from the railing.
"We're here to save you!"
Inside the cage, Hatchan turned his back toward them.
His heart sank.
It's them… it really is them…
He sprayed ink from his nose, covering himself in black in a poor attempt at disguise.
But it was completely obvious.
Luffy stood at the bow and shouted.
"Hey Hatchan! What happened to Arlong and the others?"
The mont he heard the na—
Hatchan froze.
"Arlong?!"
"He, Chew, and Kuroobi were all captured by the Marines!"
"I was the only one who escaped!"
"I opened the takoyaki shop I always dread of!"
For a mont—
The air froze.
Luffy and Hatchan made eye contact.
Both instantly turned their heads away, sweating.
They definitely recognized …
anwhile, the innocent Camie walked over to Zoro.
Her eyes sparkled with curiosity.
"Do you all know Hatchan?"
"Are you friends?"
Zoro crossed his arms and snorted.
"Friends?"
"Not even close."
Then he looked at Luffy.
"So captain… what do we do?"
Luffy blinked.
"Didn't I say we'd follow Nami's decision?"
Everyone froze again.
So you already knew…
Luffy walked over to Nami and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"You decide."
"Whatever you choose is fine."
"Luffy…"
Tears welled up in Nami's eyes.
She suddenly threw herself into his arms.
"Thank you!"
"It's nothing," Luffy replied casually.
He wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Um… Nami," Camie said timidly.
"Will you still save Hatchan?"
Nami hesitated.
Then she looked up at Luffy.
A warm smile spread across her face.
"Fine."
"Compared to Arlong's unforgivable cris…"
"Hatchan wasn't that bad."
She stepped out of Luffy's embrace, her mood clearly much lighter.
"Alright!" Luffy stretched.
"Battle ti, everyone!"
He extended his arm—
And yanked the cage onto the ship.
CRASH!
One punch shattered the bars.
"Straw Hat Luffy… thank you so much!" Hatchan cried.
"Yeah yeah," Luffy said.
"Just make us takoyaki later."
Then his tone changed.
"Everyone—defend the ship."
"Sanji, the boss inside that hut is yours."
He pointed at a straw house.
"Got it."
Sanji used Sky Walk and headed inside.
Soon bubbles began rising from the sea.
One by one—
Flying fish burst out of the water, gliding through the sky.
Flying Fish: capable of flying for five minutes.
"…Are they mocking us for not flying?" Luffy scratched his head.
A wave of invisible power spread out.
Conqueror's Haki.
The flying fish riders rolled their eyes and dropped from the sky.
In an instant—
Only Duval remained standing.
In battles between the strong—
The weak don't even qualify as spectators.
Inside the Base
Duval charged forward riding a massive iron bull.
"Co on!"
"As long as I kill you—"
"Everything will have been worth it!"
"Even if I die with you…"
"I'll take you down, Black Leg Sanji!"
Sanji frowned in confusion.
"Why do you hate so much?"
"Do we even know each other?"
"You bastard!"
Duval roared with fury.
"You commit cris everywhere and then pretend you're innocent!"
He launched a barrage of harpoons.
"But even if you say that—"
Sanji vanished like an arrow.
He dodged the attacks, grabbed the bull's head, flipped into the air—
And delivered a spinning kick.
BOOM!
Duval was kicked away.
His mask shattered.
Sanji lowered his head calmly, lighting a cigarette for a stylish finish.
Then—
"Hahahahaha!"
"Yohohohoho!"
Luffy and Brook collapsed on the ground laughing uncontrollably.
Tears stread down their faces.
The rest of the crew stared in disbelief.
"So that kind of person actually exists…"
Sanji slowly looked up.
His fists clenched in rage.
Because Duval's face—
Looked exactly like Sanji's old wanted poster.
Duval stood up, overflowing with resentnt.
"Do you know what it feels like?"
"One day, suddenly everyone is trying to kill you!"
"Why was the Marine Headquarters chasing ?!"
"Because after you beca a famous pirate—"
"I had to spend every day hiding!"
"What did I do wrong?!"
"Give my life back!"
BAM!
Sanji kicked him flying again.
"How is that my problem?!"
"What do you an it's not your problem?!"
"Who else could possibly be responsible?!"
"Shut up!" Sanji shouted.
"I hate that wanted poster too!"
Anger and resentnt clashed.
The battlefield turned into chaos.
"I kind of understand that guy," Franky wiped tears from his eyes.
"But Sanji was really depressed about that wanted poster for a while," Chopper said sympathetically.
anwhile—
"Yohohoho!"
"Hahahahaha!"
Brook and Luffy were still laughing hysterically.
"Luffy! Brook!"
"I'll deal with you two later!"
Sanji rushed forward.
His kicks struck Duval's face repeatedly.
Nose.
Cheeks.
Teeth.
Chin.
Under Sanji's relentless kicks—
Duval's face gradually changed shape.
"What a miracle!"
Luffy was laughing so hard he nearly couldn't breathe.
"Sanji… you're too funny!"
"You're the one who's laughing too hard!" Nami scolded while patting his back.
"Nami-saaaan…"
"I think I'm dying…" Brook groaned dramatically.
Nami glanced at him.
"Get lost."
Soon the Thousand Sunny and Hatchan's takoyaki boat departed.
The Flying Fish Riders waved them off.
"If you ever need help—please contact us!"
Duval waved enthusiastically.
He pulled out a mirror and admired his reflection.
"Wow…"
"I look handso now!"
"From today on—"
"My life will finally be rose-colored!"
