"Hiss—!"
Luffy's heart suddenly sank.
This is bad.
"Oooh… scary."
Kizaru wore his usual punchable expression. Behind his tinted glasses, a strange gleam flickered.
A scorching aura of destruction gradually gathered around his right leg.
Hands still in his pockets—
He kicked.
Luffy focused.
Countless blue lightning bolts wrapped tightly around his arm.
He threw a punch.
"Light-Speed Kick!!"
"Thunder Fist!!"
BOOM!!
Foot and fist collided.
The atmosphere collapsed layer by layer, and the clouds in the sky were crushed apart by the violent shockwaves.
Then—
The two began shifting positions.
Moving at speeds comparable to teleportation, they clashed again and again.
Their figures beca blurred until the entire sky above the Sabaody Archipelago seed filled with overlapping silhouettes—like a mosaic covering the heavens.
RUMBLE!!
Their fierce battle seed to anger the heavens themselves.
Within the pitch-black storm clouds, countless purple lightning serpents surged wildly.
Cold rain struck people's faces.
Only then did they suddenly wake up.
Without realizing it—
They had all been completely absorbed in the battle.
Whether civilians or pirates—
At this mont, they all felt like frogs at the bottom of a well.
Before this, they only knew the na of an Admiral—
Now they were witnessing the true might of one.
Everyone clenched their fists, trembling uncontrollably.
"Hey, Curly-brow."
Zoro stared up at the sky, then glanced at the frowning Sanji.
"Think you can help Luffy?"
Sanji let out a self-mocking laugh.
"There's no way… they're too fast."
"No matter how fast a human is… how could we possibly outrun lightning and light?"
A heavy sense of helplessness spread through the group.
It was always like this.
They had trained harder.
They had grown stronger.
And yet…
They still felt powerless.
At that mont—
Usopp stepped forward, trembling slightly.
But his eyes were firm.
"Let try!"
"You?!"
The crew looked at him in surprise and confusion.
Only Nami lowered her head in thought—then suddenly looked up.
"Is it that Devil Fruit Luffy gave you?"
The others imdiately looked at Usopp with excitent.
Usopp nodded.
The mont Kizaru appeared, Usopp had already placed a mark on him.
Even that single instant had consud nearly 1% of his stamina.
If he hadn't quickly moved it into a permanent mark slot, he might have collapsed from exhaustion.
Usopp raised his slingshot.
But instead of aiming—
He closed his eyes.
Inside his mind, a golden mark shone brilliantly.
Luffy…
I won't let the Devil Fruit you gave go to waste.
Usopp opened his eyes.
"Unleash your potential—Sogeking!"
"Sixfold Armant: Gunpowder Star!!"
Usopp released the shot.
A streak of fire flew forward.
Along its straight trajectory—
Five golden rings suddenly appeared in the air.
Visible, yet untouchable.
WHOOSH!!
The flaming projectile transford into a vivid firebird as it passed through the rings.
Each ring it crossed—
Made it faster.
Stronger.
More violent.
"Hm?"
Kizaru's smug expression twitched slightly.
Even the Admiral looked confused.
An attack that originally posed no threat was suddenly increasing in power dramatically.
It reminded him of soone—
The World Destroyer, Byrnndi World.
At the mont Kizaru was distracted—
A lightning-wrapped fist slamd straight into his face.
WHOOSH—BOOM!!
Kizaru was blasted away, turning into a streak of golden light before crashing heavily into a giant mangrove tree.
At the sa ti—
The firebird changed direction.
"Oooh… scary!"
Kizaru leaned against the crater in the mangrove tree and watched the incoming firebird.
He slowly raised a hand.
A thin light shield ford in front of him.
But—
At the instant the firebird touched the shield—
Another golden ring appeared between them.
"Oh?"
Kizaru's expression beca unusually interesting.
BOOM!!
The mangrove tree snapped in half.
Kizaru was blasted away, his body blown apart into fragnts of light.
"Six rings…?"
Luffy narrowed his eyes.
Usopp's Gunpowder Star alone couldn't hurt Kizaru.
But with six rings—
That was equivalent to 64× amplification.
It should at least cause minor damage.
anwhile—
Usopp collapsed heavily to the ground, his face pale.
His stamina and ntal energy were completely drained.
Yet he forced out a weak smile.
"I… I did it…"
"USOPP!!"
The crew looked at him with newfound respect.
It felt as though they were seeing him for the first ti.
(Note: The stamina consud by amplification varies depending on the object. Amplifying a bullet 100× and amplifying a cannon shell 100× require vastly different energy.)
But just as everyone was celebrating—
A streak of golden light shot toward Usopp.
Its speed was beyond imagination.
This ti—
Even their Observation Haki didn't warn them.
Ti seed to freeze.
The smiles were still on everyone's faces—
When the golden light condensed into Kizaru.
He raised his leg—
And stomped down toward the fallen Usopp.
ZZZZT!!
Black lightning suddenly chased after the light.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa!!!"
Kizaru widened his eyes.
He crossed his arms in front of him as top-tier Armant Haki covered them.
BOOM!!
A fist wrapped in destructive lightning slamd into his arms.
WHOOSH!!
Kizaru was blasted away once again.
Luffy stood where he was, still holding his punching stance.
Crackling black lightning surrounded him like a cage.
"Thanks for the help, everyone."
"But you need to leave—now!!"
Luffy pressed down on his straw hat.
His deep pupils turned crimson.
"He's strong… but I promise I'll co back."
Luffy vanished.
Black lightning tore across the sky as he chased after Kizaru.
Only then did the others react.
Cold sweat stread down their faces.
Ever since awakening Observation Haki, they had never experienced sothing like this.
It was like suddenly becoming blind—
Not even knowing how you would die.
Kizaru transford into golden light and flew backward.
The streak of light shot off the island—
Across the sea.
"What… was that?"
A Marine soldier on a warship rubbed his eyes.
"Was it my imagination? I swear sothing just flew past—"
At that mont—
A bolt of black lightning flashed past him.
"WHAT?!"
His eyes nearly popped out.
"Oooh… scary. What a troubleso ability."
Even while flying backward across the ocean, Kizaru remained relaxed.
The destructive lightning surged through his body, trying to paralyze him and damage his organs.
But when his Armant Haki flared—
Every trace of lightning was expelled instantly.
Kizaru flipped in midair.
The golden light reversed direction—
And shot toward Luffy.
From above, one could see it clearly:
A golden streak and a black streak forming a straight line across the ocean.
Moving at nearly the speed of light—
Even a distance of 100 kiloters vanished in an instant.
Their auras rose higher and higher.
At the mont they reached their limits—
Kizaru raised his leg.
Blazing light spread across it.
Luffy clenched his fist.
Violent lightning coiled around it.
Their attacks landed simultaneously.
At that mont—
It felt as though the entire world shook.
The atmosphere collapsed layer by layer.
The clouds were crushed into nothingness by the shockwave.
Gigantic waves over one hundred ters high surged across the sea.
Warships and pirate ships tossed about like fragile leaves, on the verge of capsizing.
A blinding white light erupted.
The shockwave blasted both fighters away.
The surrounding Marines and pirates were struck by the aftermath and collapsed to the ground.
They couldn't even stand.
All they could do was cling to whatever they could grab.
CRACK!!
The sturdy deck of a Marine warship began breaking apart.
Pirate ships fared even worse—
Many were completely shattered into dust.
Of the ships still floating—
Less than one in ten remained.
BOOM!!
The violent currents blasted the two apart again.
Luffy tumbled across the ocean surface.
Lightning crackled around him as he forcefully stabilized himself and charged forward again.
Kizaru's leather shoe skimd lightly across the water, drawing a perfect arc.
His Marine justice coat fluttered in the wind.
He raised his right hand slightly and glanced at the watch on his wrist.
Then he frowned.
"Haha… only three hours until I get off work."
"So…"
"I guess I should get a little serious."
Golden light gradually reflected off his tinted glasses.
Kizaru leaned back slightly—
Then suddenly changed direction.
Turning into a streak of light, he shot straight toward the sky.
The hundred-ter waves couldn't hinder either of them in the slightest.
Thunder and light intertwined.
A terrifying vacuum storm ford in the air.
Every collision between them caused heaven and earth to lose their color.
The violence of lightning.
The burning intensity of light.
Both were displayed to their absolute extres.
