Instead of resting, Leon moved slightly to the side and summoned sothing else.

Fwoosh!

Just like when Celeste had taken a break before, a faint glow appeared as the [Primordial Dragon of Chaos] egg materialized in front of him, resting quietly on the ground.

Its presence alone felt... powerful.

Leon stared at it, his expression slowly turning neutral again as his thoughts shifted.

’This is making realize sothing...’ He crouched slightly, his eyes fixed on the egg, ’The longer I delay its hatching... the weaker it’ll be later.’1

Pets weren’t just companions. They were also sotis even the deciding factor in a fight.

If Celeste fought soone stronger than her, she might lose.

But if Pyra was there with her... That fight could turn completely. Especially once Pyra evolved.

And this egg was far beyond that. If it hatched, if it grew, if it reached its full potential... It could beco sothing absurd.

Sothing that could change everything.

Not just here. But in the [Eternal Battlefield]. And even beyond that, in the [Eternal Domain].

Leon’s gaze hardened slightly, ’It’s not just about strength...’

He had a feeling, a strong one, that this creature would bring opportunities.

If Leon wanted to make use of this pet, one of the most powerful ones he had ever seen... he needed to hatch it quickly and cultivate it.

He felt like it would be extrely useful in the [Eternal Battlefield], let alone the [Eternal Domain].

And yet, he simply stayed there, staring at the egg in silence.

Minutes passed. Then hours.

Anyone looking at him would have thought he had completely lost it, just standing there, unmoving, eyes fixed on a single object.

But in reality... He was thinking. Weighing everything.

And eventually...

"I’ll actually decide after the [Expert Divine Temple]," Leon finally said quietly, nodding to himself, "Until then... it doesn’t matter."

There was no point rushing it here.

Whatever he needed to properly hatch and grow this creature probably wasn’t in this place.

And so, with that decision made, he dismissed the egg, letting it return to his [Storage Space].

Then, he walked toward the window.

The view outside stretched far and wide, giving him a clear look over the entire [Newbie District].

Buildings. Streets. Movent.

"I guess it’s B-Rank for a reason..."

He leaned slightly against the wall, his gaze calm as he observed everything.

"This doesn’t even feel like a domain in [Eternal Ascension]..." His voice lowered slightly, "Just feels like... a city, a normal one.’

For a brief mont, everything felt peaceful.

But then—

"ARGH?!"

The sudden sound shattered that calm instantly.

Leon’s head snapped toward the bed without hesitation, his entire body reacting before his mind could even process it. It was Emilia.

She had shot up slightly, one hand gripping her head tightly, her expression twisted in pain.

Her breathing was uneven, her body tense.

And Leon didn’t hesitate for even a fraction of a second.

His instincts kicked in imdiately as he drew his sword and staff in hand.

"Sensed danger?" Leon asked sharply, his voice low but intense.

Emilia nodded weakly. That was all he needed.

Celeste was already waking up as well, confusion and panic quickly appearing on her face as she tried to understand what was happening.

Leon didn’t waste ti. He raised his staff instantly.

Darkness Barrier!

A protective shield ford around him in an instant, dark energy wrapping around his body as he scanned the room.

This was only the second ti Emilia’s passive had triggered.

But that didn’t matter. If she sensed danger, then there was danger. And Leon trusted that completely.

The seconds passed slowly.

At first only ten, then twenty and...

Thirty—

Fwoosh!

It happened in an instant. An arrow. So fast it was almost invisible.

It tore through the air from the window, its speed so overwhelming that Leon barely had ti to register it before it reached him.

CRACK! BOOM!

The barrier shattered instantly. Like it had never existed in the first place.

And the arrow didn’t stop.

SWASH!

It pierced straight into Leon’s shoulder.

The impact alone sent him flying backward, his body crashing violently against the wall behind him.

The force echoed through the room. Silence followed. For just a mont.

"What the... fuck..." Leon groaned as he pushed himself up slowly, blood dripping from the wound, his expression darkening imdiately.

Pain shot through his arm, but he ignored it. Because his mind was already sowhere else.

Soone had just attacked him. With enough power to break his barrier like it was nothing.

Leon’s eyes narrowed as a cold feeling spread through his chest.

This wasn’t normal. Not even close.

And whoever had fired that arrow... Was still out there.

"Be careful," Leon said imdiately as he steadied himself, shifting his posture into a firm stance while tightening his grip around both his sword and his staff.

His eyes locked onto the window with full focus as he prepared for another attack to co at any mont without giving himself even a second to relax.

He didn’t even bother looking at the wound on his shoulder.

Because compared to what he had endured in his past life, sothing like this barely even registered as an injury worth worrying about, especially in a situation where danger could strike again at any second.

Still, there was sothing strange about the wound.

A faint, uncomfortable sensation spread through his shoulder, sothing unnatural that didn’t belong there, and Leon imdiately recognized it without needing to think twice.

’...Poison,’ he thought calmly, his expression not changing in the slightest as he understood what had just happened.

For most people, that arrow alone would have been enough to end their life, especially with poison involved, but for Leon, things were different.

Ding!

[Your "Strong Poison Resistance (B-Level)" sub-talent has cured your poison.]

The effect disappeared almost instantly, the strange sensation fading as if it had never been there in the first place.

Leon let out a quiet breath as he acknowledged how important that sub-talent had just been.

Without it, the situation could have turned far worse in a matter of seconds.

At the sa ti, Emilia reacted quickly despite everything, raising her scepter with a focused expression as she imdiately supported Leon.

Speed Buff! Strength Buff!

By that, Leon ans that if he takes too long to hatch it, its level and power will be lower than if he hatched it now and took the ti to evolve it
