[Forsaken Knight]

[Combat Power: 630,000]

[Celestial’s Might] worked this ti due to the sheer amount of knights.

After all, even if their combat power was reduced, as long as they could overwhelm Leon, this situation was far from "fair".

But now that the knights were weaker than before...

Slash!

Leon swung his sword and cut through another three knights much more easily than before, their bodies splitting apart under the force of his attack as he continued moving forward without stopping even for a second.

’Dealing with these guys will be easier now,’ Leon thought with a faint grin forming on his face, though his eyes remained sharp and focused, ’But there’s too many of them to relax.’

And just as he kept pushing through their ranks, cutting down any knight that dared get close while maintaining his speed, a powerful roar suddenly erupted behind him, loud enough to shake the surrounding buildings and make the air vibrate from the sheer force behind it.

ROOOOOARRRR!

Leon imdiately turned his head slightly to look behind him, and what he saw made his expression darken almost instantly.

The [Forsaken General] raised both his sword and shield high into the air before releasing a wave of dark energy that spread outward.

The effect was imdiate.

Every single [Forsaken Knight] that had been trembling under the pressure of [Celestial’s Might] suddenly regained their composure as if nothing had ever affected them.

Their bodies straightening, their grips tightening, and their movents becoming far more coordinated than before.

The ones that had stumbled forced themselves back up, and those that had hesitated no longer showed even a trace of fear.

Then, without any delay, they all rushed toward Leon again from every direction.

From the front, from the sides, even from behind, knights kept appearing and charging at him, their dark aura flickering as they closed in once more.

’Damn,’ Leon thought as his grip on his sword tightened slightly.

Behind him, the general lowered his weapons and pointed his sword forward, marking Leon as his target before taking a heavy step and then rushing forward with terrifying speed.

Leon didn’t even think about facing it directly.

Instead, he chose to deal with the knights ahead of him, because even weakened, they were still manageable individually, unlike the general.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Leon swung his sword continuously while running, cutting through knights one after another as they tried to block his path, his movents precise and efficient as he made sure not to lose montum.

Vines of Tornt! Torrent of Lightning!

At the sa ti, he raised his staff and unleashed his spells.

Vines erupted from the ground to trap groups of knights while lightning struck from above, hitting multiple enemies at once and either killing them or slowing them down enough for Leon to pass through.

Even with that, Leon never stopped moving. He couldn’t afford to.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

Notifications kept ringing in his mind as more and more knights were killed, but Leon ignored all of them completely, knowing that even a mont of distraction could cost him everything.

And that thought proved correct almost imdiately.

Slash!

One of the knights managed to slip through his attacks and swing its sword at his side, and even though Leon dodged most of it, the blade still grazed him, leaving a shallow but painful cut.

’They can still damage if I ss up even slightly,’ Leon thought as he pushed forward, abandoning any thought of checking his rewards or slowing down.

The chase continued like that for a long ti.

Leon kept running, jumping from rooftop to rooftop, cutting down every knight that got too close, while the general followed him relentlessly, slowly but surely closing the distance despite the spells Leon kept throwing back to slow it down.

Ti passed, and even though Leon had killed a massive number of knights during that run, reducing their numbers significantly, the pressure didn’t ease at all.

Because eventually... The general caught up.

Slash!

The [Forsaken General] swung its sword with incredible speed, forcing Leon to dodge quickly, but even though the attack didn’t land directly, the force behind it was enough to throw him off balance.

Crash!

Leon failed to properly land his next jump and fell from the rooftop, crashing down into the street below with a heavy impact.

Before he could even get up properly, he saw the general descending from above, its massive figure already mid-attack as it brought its sword down toward him.

Fwoosh!

Leon rolled to the side just in ti, narrowly avoiding the direct hit, but the impact still created a powerful shockwave that sent him flying across the street.

"Cough..." Leon spat blood as he crashed against a wall, his body aching from the impact as he forced himself back up with a faint smirk, "You really don’t give up, do you..."

His body was already covered in several injuries from the constant fighting and running, but even then, he didn’t stop.

Around him, the remaining knights, now reduced to around thirty, landed on the ground and surrounded him once again, preparing to attack all at once.

Leon tightened his grip on his sword, ready to move again.

But at that mont...

Ding!

A notification suddenly appeared, and this one felt different from the others.

[You have entered the "Mother’s Area"]

"Huh?" Leon muttered as he instinctively glanced around.

That was when he noticed it. The wall he had crashed into wasn’t normal.

It was covered in thick, dark silk, and as he looked further, he realized that the entire area around him was the sa.

Buildings, streets, everything was wrapped in layers of silk.

’...So this is their territory,’ Leon’s expression darkened slightly as he understood where he had ended up.

The knights didn’t hesitate though. They kept advancing toward him as if nothing had changed.

But suddenly—

"KRKRKRK!"

"Krrrk?!"

Several sharp, screeching sounds echoed around the area as multiple [Spiders of Darkness] erged from the surrounding buildings and streets.

Around ten of them appeared almost instantly, their crimson eyes locking onto the intruders as their bodies tensed with aggression.

They didn’t hesitate. The mont they appeared, they rushed forward.

Their massive legs slamd against the ground as they charged directly at the knights, driven by pure instinct to protect their territory.

The knights reacted imdiately, raising their weapons and preparing to fight, though so of them seed slightly shaken by the sudden appearance of these stronger enemies.

The [Forsaken General], however, didn’t hesitate at all.

"...Spiders..." it muttered in a low, distorted voice as it lifted its sword again, "...Kill..."

And just like that, with Leon standing right in the middle of both sides, the battle erupted into complete chaos.
